I feel like Mags is one of the only servers we have faced to be confident enough to run lots of zerker eles.

We kite hammer trains all day errday, the hammer train meta is boring, is a dinosaur and is too easy to survive for anyone with more than 2 brain cells firing, I cant believe people are still running it. VR has alot of fun melting face with it, it’s a loot-kitten’s dream too, I have not made less than 7 gold per night tagging all the things. Out of all the comps we run it is the most challenging and fun.
Why are you gloating over Mag’s accomplishments? Your server is still a bunch of try hards who can’t face a challenge without the help of another server.

It’s ok additional attacks will be carried out today on Yaks and SBI targets. QQ moar about getting double-teamed. That being said Violent Resolution, Maguuma’s largest WvW guild will be raiding tonight COME OUT AND FIGHT US!!

I’m pretty sure Denimdan is going to have PTSD after tonight, he has a knack for wandering near VRs group and getting zerg-busted. I lost count at about half a dozen times. Poor fella.
Not really, as a matter of fact EVOH was so unremarkable that half of Mag doesnt remember anyone from that guild when mentioned in mumble,,, some of the old schoolers remember Denimdan Invalid and Divineknight. I see FAR MORE EVOH tags playing for SBI then I ever saw when they were on Mag. Happily Invalid is still on Mag, crazy as ever, dancing butt-naked in arrow cart fire. So,,, how’s that “Less Zergy” server working out for you guys? You guys have every right be where you are having fun, GL/HF on SBI.
Actually amonsgt the talk about Mag I see it being said that we could be burnt out from 7 weeks in gold, that is probably true to an extent, but in the process of playing gold league we picked up 3 WvW guilds, including 1 late night NA guild (KH, they will be along to say hi, believe it) that is VERY skilled, and last week we had the best fights we had all 7 weeks (my opinion) so this fired us up quite a bit, factor that in with the fair-weathers that are sure to return,, this pretty much guarantees an interesting week for us. By the way, my adrenaline was pumping for about an hour after that fight at garrison tonight in Mag BL. I was the necro that kept diving into your formation and downing your doodz with life transfer. Amazing fight

We were the last ones to fight FA before Season 1, they got bandwagoned by alot of trashy guilds, you may be unpleasantly surprised. I still cant help but be curious since most of the guilds didnt get there till the last day or two.
Started last night off by killing NOPE in our North Camp and Garrison, had fun fighting them, fought NAGA and EP at our West Keep, Agg outside our garrison, about an hour of roaming then joined the collaborative effort of KH and Commander Xushin in TCBL, this was a VERY fun night… Can we keep this up the rest of the week? I hope so. Congratulations commander Xushin on GOLD INVADER.
A ton of disconnects tonight. And as far as what VR runs we have been playing the ranged classes for about a month now, people may be getting bored with it, it might be time to try some new theory-crafting of comps to keep things fresh. I hope JQ and TC are ok with being our guinea pigs, in the meantime you might see something that interests you for your own groups. 30 hours with no sleep and 4 double-shots of SoCo are going to put me out for the night. May all of your fights be epic bloodbaths.
This is the most stable NA server, simply because we don’t focus on points and we do not have any “blob” guilds that would hurt us by leaving, we have an outstanding community and value skilled play. I cant imagine myself playing any other place. We fought long and hard to get to Gold League because we want the most epic fights the game has to offer, we are getting that now with very few que issues. You have fought against us now fight with us as our allies, see and do amazing things and you will find yourself saying something I have heard hundreds of times . “I love Maguuma” We only need off-hours players, our NA is super strong and bursting at the seams.

I’m sure when Duke gets on VR will be doing something, unfortunately we have 40 minute ques in Mag and EB our guilds will not sit in ques, our Karma train commander is loling at you guys for running at his 40-man with your 15-20. I am looking forward to running into EP.
Full zerker is bad and full PVT is bad. You need a mixture. Frontline needs survivability. Some DPS can afford to go zerker and survive due to mechanics. The classes that don’t have those mechanics need a sturdy front line to control ground so they can use intelligent positioning to survive.
They can go zerker, but when you fight people enough they learn to know who is squishy and who is not. You will get focused and killed if you are a non-cheese class in zerker gear unless you have a good support crew in survivability gear that can peel and heal.
Perhaps there is some confusion in what I said. Yes, someone in zerker gear can be viable in pretty much every setting. Groups or guilds full of zerkers are not viable unless they have a numbers advantage.
Here is an example of a guild group in almost entirely zerker gear.
Nearly every one of these fights the groups are clumped up like idiots, if you cant spread out, surround your target and use defensive utilities you deserve every death. I’m glad you are still doing your vids Oozo, I enjoy stopping on to your channel to watch a couple now and then.

I think I now see why SoR wanted SBI in Gold… so they didn’t have to listen to Mag mouths.
This would have started out better if 2 servers had not been playing dirty-knees politics to try to make things go their way in season 1 never though I would see a server doing stuff that was far more shady then JQ when it comes to season 1. Guess what? YOU FAILED

Grats to SoR and SBI for winning Coverage Wars 2, since they cant do it alone they have to work together because they are afraid of what Maguuma will do to them in open-field. Ask these guys if they feel like winners, get used to seeing this, your turn is coming in the next couple of weeks.

let it never be said that Maguuma didnt bust their kitten s and EARN their spot in gold. Save some of that enthusiasm for TC and SoS guys we have reset in 12 1/2 hours.
This is what I don’t understand about the T1 servers recent recruitment drives for more people. You’ll spend 4-6 out of the 7 weeks in the league being bored kittenless. People really transfer for some poxy finisher??? Amazing!
Also Mag stands to gain from potential recruitment drives if they get into the gold league.
SoS is T2. It’s currently ranked 6th (was ranked 5th yesterday). It’s still unclear what happened with SBI (my current pick for the most volatile server in NA unless a current T1 drops to T2) but the last time Maguuma fought SoS (which wasn’t that long ago) they lost by a not insignificant amount. For some reason this week FA seems to be performing really badly, I don’t know if that’s because Maguuma and SBI got in a tonne of recruits (we know SBI did) or if FA just doesn’t care as much as their competition this week (or lost a lot players) or a combination of the two. Even if there was a match with SBI, Maguuma and SoS there is still too much rating instability caused by SBI recruitment and DB implosion for a single match to accurately place the three servers.
SBI will gain rating the easiest as theirs is lower than it should be due to bandwagons. The 6th (and maybe 5th) spot in the gold league will be determined not by server strength but by the match up next week. I suspect if SoS, FA, Maguuma or SBI (possibly even DB) get a T1 server next week along with TC, that will secure their spot in gold league (lots of rating to eat and TC likely won’t take it). If the same servers get matched with a T4 or lower server next week that will likely secure their spot in silver league. If three are matched together I suspect SBI will take it, they will gain rating easier (so the other servers will have to outperform them to stay neutral let alone gain rating) and they are still on the honeymoon period from their transfers so their players currently care a lot more than established higher ranked servers.
It’s hilarious to read T1 players complain about boring matches against lower ranked servers. Why do these players think DB imploded the way it did? Where do they think the DB guilds went? The WvW forums are full of T1 players complaining about T1 problems that they create for themselves. It’s like reaching a bunch of posts written by a woman crying into the palm of her hand.
As far as we on Mag can tell we think FA is suffering from the inevitable “lack of interest” (too many weeks fighting in Tier 2?) we see their strong guilds out, just not as often. (They’ve even recently gotten oceanic transfers, meow guild, very strong, hard working guild some of us know from the old days on NSP) SBI is the only server we have ever seen that puts up as good of, or better defense then we do. TC is going to have a hell of a time getting them to crack with their nightly rush of 50541561023013210632023 golems. Additionally there’s that old weakness of Mag’s called “lack of any night crew” We can keep up with SBI in NA prime nearly neck and neck but they have better night coverage and our overworked, underpaid Aussie commander does the best he can.
I was not aware of a double-team but it makes sense, you guys put up the toughest defense I have seen so far and I’ve seen alot. Here’s hoping you can pose the same type of defense against TCs daily golem swarms, you will need that.
We may well see silver on my server, trying to imagine what it would be like for my old server (NSP) to face my current server (Maguuma) I cant say other than for the roamers it would be anything but miserable for NSP… Maguuma, Fort Aspenwood or SBI would be an utter and complete blowout against NSP, Devon would ragequit within 10 minutes.
The only thing that matters at the end of the week are the points.
You must be new to this game. PPT=population, the final score only shows you the relative size of each server. Try to find a reason for playing that isn’t a number you as an individual have next to no influence on.
Nope not new to this game sorry to disappoint you. As for PPT equaling population you are right to an extent. You all say your far better than SBI but yet you are still losing to SBI. If you were so much better than us than shouldn’t your skill make up for the tiny amount of population difference?
Or just bandwagon to another server after this one starts losing. If you can figure out the transfer screen!
When you lose to SBI this week and your server is crying and replacing their broken keyboards just remember that SBI will welcome you in with open arms in case you want to come and see what a real server looks like.

I was just always under the impression that DB sea would be the very bottom of our choices because they were a special brand of bad. Not just in skill, but certain… things… they do.
I see problems with T1 and ques in season 1, casuals and semi-casuals may not get to play at all since organized guilds know how to manipulate the map que. No no meta event, no shiny weekly chest, said players will ragequit to lower tiers or servers like FA, Mag and SoS who have some population strength but little in the way of que times or the “winners” of silver. I would like to think that this is how the problem will work itself out but it’s too early to tell.
Ya’ll sound surprised. Did I not mention we couldn’t even get back Hills from like four of you armed with AC’s Monday morning? On top of that, you guys took Bay with like five plus a single omega. Expect much the same through the rest of the week.
My suggestion to you Mags would be to get whatever achievements you want to get now in PvE while you can. You’re going gold and you’re not going to have such an opportunity again for quite a while I suspect. A break for you before your inevitable destruction, less curb-stompage for us. Everyone is happy.
We’ve given Fort Aspenwood, TC and JQ their share of bruises and we’re ready to do it again. See you in season 2 if/when we drop, you never know what will happen between now and then =)
I’m so glad to be in such an incredible stable place in WvW. The main thing is making sure you have fun it doesnt take top ppt, PVDoor or any of that other kitten for FUN to happen. Stay focused, have fun, DB will bounce back.
We’re not getting stuck in boring matchups, if we get our kitten pushed in every week in gold so be it, at least we will not have 3 waypoints in a ghost-town of an enemy borderland which is what we had today in Dragonbrand’s BL. We’re going to gold trust and believe it. No fights at all, NNK show up last night in DBBL, got wiped a couple times by VR, failed at taking our West keep and kittened off the rest of the night. IMAGINE THAT HA! OCEANICS NOT BEING ABLE TO CRACK OUR WEST KEEP.. DOES THAT SOUND FAMILIAR? I hate to say this at risk of being shunned by my server mates by mentioning NNK and SKILL in the same sentence but they (NNK) are more skilled than anything I saw from SoS

Yeah. Sos is trying to camp NN with 3 stacks of buttlust while outmanning us. No one is going to fight you. That’s why most people left. Also, I heard you had like a billion vs outmanned an hour ago.
They had a full que, we had 4 people, Me, Mord, Mfer and some dood on an uplevel, Alamo up in this kitten. W/E the match is decided, it’s friday. It’s lion guild, they pile on people coming through the portal 4 to 1 because they dont have enough individual skill to beat even numbers.
