2-3 hour siege to take Stonemist from Maguuma and they just walk right back in with no resistance.
This server really makes me sad sometimes. I was standing right on the entry point when they showed up, and gave everyone at least 10 minute warning in all borderlands. No one came.
Find someone creative and inspirational on your server and tell him/her that they are your official propaganda machine. Maguuma is less about moving up tiers than YB. I prefer t3 over t4. I don’t like serving up zergs to lesser populated servers as is happening.
I wish my server had an actual oceanic crew. Not to go up in tier, but because our Aussie commander really gets pooped on.
YB seems to want to be something they’re not.
CD and SBI shouldn’t be too shy in posting. I think mag is tame to our opponents when we go into zerguuma mode. And I have to applaud both servers this week. Whether or not you guys have retooled your servers since people xferred off of them you guys have a whole lot of fight in you. And SBI’s small man teams are very sneaky.
Agreed with this, you guys have nothing to be discouraged about, look at the tiers lower down and take note of how many of those servers have been pooped on by transfers…You are doing fine and you all are putting up a hell of a good fight.
To the Mag guys that fought us, it was pretty kitten fun, awesome fights guys. As you can see, we still have much to learn as a guild. We look forward to more of these in the future.
Yeah you guys beat us 3 to 2 matches I think, will need to work on my veil placement for fights like that, thanks for the fun fights. You guys would love fighting Dragonbrand, maybe you should hope to move up at some point.

So just a thought I was having, if Mag is so convinced they are amazing I’d like to see at least 1 video of them wiping groups instead of them just talking. (I’d hope one person would at least be able to) I know we have a few in TV who are going to start recording all of our stuff mostly for our own benefit but all this “We wiped you X times and you never wiped us” talk just seems silly from what I’ve experienced so far seeing as I had 500+ kills on Saturday on an upleveled guardian with no elite and I’m already starting his 2nd stack of badges at level 29 I’m just tossing this up here in a hope to see some video’s by Mag and DB since it’s always nice to see the opposite side of the field yours truly a humble TC player.

He’s an Aussie with a very short fuse, probably got sick of all of the dragon tooth spam, I know alot of others where. We had a BRUTAL root canal set up in that lord room, you guys must have caught us off guard and outmanned, or some of it de-spawned.
Juggernaut Flamethrower engineer can pretty easily get over 2700 armor (got mine over 2800 with ascended amulet), lots of utility, combo fields, some healing and plenty of control abilities (stun immobilize, etc)

Yeah we learned it from FA. What is the lesson? There is NO overkill, only kill. Seeing you guys do things like bringing Omegas to a garrison that you know is defended by 6 people, waiting till the wee hours of the morning to bring 40+ people to our BL for PVDoor, indeed, good job. The whole point of the video, which you seemed to have missed is WHY would you come back the second time to a door that you know is a meat grinder?

While Maguuma camps jp, they get dunked on in EB. And every other map for the matter. Perhaps it’s time to actually use that 30 or so people you got in the jp.

Shout out to our opponents this week, some of the fights have been really good, some of them have made me wonder what you guys are smoking. I hope this week has been a learning experience for the winners and the losers. I think Mag has learned alot and there are probably some big surprises in store for Fort Aspenwood next week. It was fun to fight some of my old server-mates from meow and TL. The 3-server brawl inside Maguuma garrison will be something I’ll never forget, thank you for those experiences. Im on SOS, here in Tier 1, most of our ques are less than 10 mins. Ive noticed most of the people complaining are also only queing for EB, which can have longer que times during peek times—- give your borderlands a try. Still having problems? Then your server is probably overly populated. Give another server a try.
The problem isn’t with the queues, but rather the significantly reduced limit on the amount of players on a map. It’s one thing to wait an hour in queue, but to wait an hour in a queue to be outmanned or have 30 players on the map isn’t right.
^This, current matchup Maguuma/Kaineng/DB 40+ Kaineng running around in Maguuma borderlands while Maguuma has a dozen people to defend with 10+ minute que times. Something is very wrong with ques.

Shame there isn’t more quality guilds on Maguuma/Dragonbrand, or at least none that we’ve seen yet. Matchup has been pretty bland in our BL.

The laughing stock speaks… Even AoN has love for Maguuma… I’m pretty sure ShadowMoom (good Maguuma guild) has taken and still holds 2 of your 3 keeps and is farming your players at some random hole that hey allowed to be blown in a wall. If you dont like the match-up maybe you should transfer… again. The TL players that I saw in Mag BL didnt last too long,, they died pretty regularly to our pugs. WTH happened to you guys? (TL) you at least were able to put up a decent fight at one point.
so we made 5 golems on Mag Bl…had great portaling from [AVTR] all the way from our spawn to sunny hill, golems start pounding on the gate and every single golem “misses” kitten bugs -_-. so we portal to garrison, get wiped with oil and other crap. had fun though tough fights on mag bl, finally took bay once commanders decided to communicate with each other

As others have stated, Kaineng has the numbers but abysmal personal skill. Even those who you would think be decent are just trash, aka some WM commander with the sniper rifle. To put it simply, whenever I come across a Kaineng player I assume s/he is a glass cannon baddie. Whereas whenever I came across a Maguuma player I assumed I would be in for a good fight.
Prediction of kain vs mag (assuming numbers stay the same): An opener dominated by Maguuma giving Maguuma a large early lead. A night where Kain claws back its territory and some of the other two servers. Barely making up the initial point differential though. Maguuma starts coming back in force and contains kain to their BL and third of EB. For the rest of the week it is Maguuma maintaining a +100 over kain during NA primetime for the first week day and increasing for each subsequent week day while Kain is able to keep a +150 over Mag during the 5 hour asian primetime. The score by the end of the week will be a convincing Maguuma victory.
This is probably pretty close to dead-on how I think the match will go although the other server and the solid guilds we have picked up over the weeks are the big variables here. WaR demolishes zergs in open field and SM likes to “Occupy” enemy borderlands, both guilds are quite good at this. It will take some effort to undo the damage caused by this
Well since xfers made this week a wash yet again (can’t wait for the servers to reshuffle and settle down for more fun matchups) was hoping to find some loj to play with. Just for fun since actually making a dent in the maguuma zerg’s map control isn’t going to happen. Of course even in loj BL and our own the moment you pop some swords in the hopes of drawing out a bored loj player or two to fight instead you get a nice 1v20 maguuma horde roflstomp and spike.

To be honest, and I was on NSP the first week when the whole Ruin/Ascension fiasco took place, I have seen first place how much damage this transfer business can do, I feel bad for loyal IOJ peeps, if Maguuma had a strong IOJ breathing down our necks this would have been a much more fun match.

Maguuma is crammed with players already you can’t even get on a map) are leaving their servers and moving into other ones.
I dont know where you are getting your info but we have a max of 30 minute que on reset night on MAYBE one map on Mag and that’s our home BL the way it should be. No one wants to solo camps while 150 people sit in LA on NSP and spam for dungeons and other PVE garbage. Dont get me started on NSP, I put months my time into WvW there and it just hasnt recovered at all, scrublord guilds that dont give a kitten about anything but zerging EB will be the reason it never recovers.
Just a thread to speculate on the new tiers after all the servers settle.
Tier 2: SoR-Mag-Kain
Not going to happen, I’m pretty sure our oceanic presence consists of one modest (very good) Aussie guild, unless we get oceanic transfers this will never happen. If we got a sizable amount of oceanic transfers I could see us bouncing between t2 and t3, maybe even better than that.
Crystal Desert loves Maguuma too, we miss you guys.

Yes we liked fighting CD too, no we do NOT want more people, we like it just the way it is.
My guild has been together since beta of the first GW the WvW has managed to “fragment” us across a few servers based on our tastes in WvW or lack thereof for our PVE people, we are very concerned about not having a degree of control over the influence gained when we guest over to do dungeons and events and the possibility that our guildies on a server with fewer of our people may end up going without certain essential guild benefits. Can you shed any light on this? If I guest my account to Northern Shiverpeaks from Maguuma will I have a choice where the influence goes? Our members are currently on Northern Shiverpeaks, Maguuma and Crystal Desert. I guess the main question is will we have ANY control over the allocation of influence in a guild like this.
So who’s leaving Mag before the 28th comes up and paid transfers are initiated?
Hopefully all of the bandwagon bads that hopped over here when we started winning.

I’ll be fair, I didn’t really think about it, but that video is actually not really counter-evidence anyway. The dude made the accusations during the first match, not the second one. I requested evidence and someone even pointed him my way later that night but he never got it or intentionally ignored it. I don’t know why it didn’t surface until this week.

Indeed, if I had been able to cover the assault from the viewpoint of both groups, or been able to produce a quality, entertaining video like the guys from AD, WäR or SM this video would have been on the first page friday night. You are so kitten that you failed to defend your garrison that you’ve had a momentary lapse in reading comprehension. The whole point of the video was to challenge Jesse Cox’s half-kittened idea that GOONs hacked at the opening of the match. The video also clearly shows a terrible lack of defenders at your garrison, next time defend more, kitten less.

That would be a zerg, they don’t run up to the supply camp and go, “ok guys there is 4 dudes in there with npcs…lets only send in 7 people.” No they send in the zerg, wipe everything quickly and re-supply. That’s why you take a zerg to a supply camp.

Have you seen NSP borderlands? we own NOTHING at 2 am.. Why would they need to supply up when they have everything sieged and fortified? But that’s ok I have 2 superior ballistas a nice choke point and an idea that Quenta would be proud of today,,, let the badge farming commence, the bigger the zerg the better. Oh and BTW 1 suppy camp= 100 supply so only 10 people can supply up there anyway.

Having accounts two servers I find this whole thread quite amusing, I was in NSP borderlands early in the am and I was astonished at the number of up-leveled players from Kaineng and the lack of players overall, Kaineng is really not fielding that many players. I’m sure I tied up at least 8 of them trying to get in through the breach they made in our garrison today. I’m rather disappointed that it appears Kaineng will not get to face Maguuma, that would be an outstanding match.
Dear DR, please do your upgrades so you can keep your stuff (take a collection through the mail if necessary), please place siege, (start with this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgoTT3yWSXw if you are being killed more than 2 or 3 times trying take the same objective YOU ARE PROBABLY GETTING FARMED rethink your strategy. And most importantly if you dont have it get a community voice com, split it into 4 rooms and co-ordinate attacks and defenses. I saw good intensity at your east keep last night but you guys where derping doing stuff like building trebs in the middle of the road poorly protected. I got 49 badges @ your east keep last night, bring that intensity with some common sense and you will put up a much better fight.
I have a lot of respect for SM as Ebays. When ever we fought Ebay, whenever I saw an SM member I always prepared to have a hard time in the near future. They’re great at their response time and fighting skills and tactics, and were very annoying when we had to fight them. Got to see them in action over the past few days and its nice to finally be able to put names to old opponents. They also know how to have fun and party from what I’ve seen so I do hope they stay here in Maguuma
Yeah 1 SM could possibly not be a threat but when you see a human female thief with a Skittles shortbow and a cowboy mask running around with a couple other familiar faces… YOU BETTER CHECK YOUR MAP EVERY 30 SECONDS.
So this may or may not be the right place for this but TBH I dont really care, as some of you may have noticed , Maguumans and opponents alike, Maguuma has picked up a new guild, there has been alot of trash talking to and about this guild over the weeks on the forums (including myself) but in all honesty they have been a hell of alot of fun to fight, they share our strategic philosophy of focusing on borderlands maps and working our way outward as manpower dictates and many of us are glad they are on our team now. Not playing for second mate. But DR cant field the coordinated numbers that Mag/BP can field. We have a zerg mentality server that only a few know is fail. But the masses continue to do it, refuse to upgrade/defend. So the small few of us that are trying to hold the base of operations together….well only so much we can do. And its burned a lot of us out.
I feel your pain, I came to Maguuma from Northern Shiverpeaks with a handful of guilds that got tired of just this type of thing after 7 weeks of losses. Soloing camps against servers like Ehmry Bay and Darkhaven with 100 people in Lions Arch spamming to do dungeons. I wish I could tell you it will get better but it probably will not.
Not as good as Anonymous Defenders vids. Keep it up though

I got a better idea 140 of our Mags are prepared to transfer to Dragonbrand to help our friends out temporarily next week,,, yeah that sounds like a better idea.
I’m pretty sure that was the most epic battle ever over the SW camp in EB borderlands through the night. Mmm yes New Years Eve on the way, Jim Beam, Dr Pepper and drunken WvW, tonight is going to be hella fun.
Keep fighting that good fight Dragonbrand, you guys have alot of solid players/guilds that scared the kitten out of us on several occasions (I was the little asura engineer on the superior ballista at your east keep the other morning, I set some of that up root canal up) keep up the good fight and we’ll see you guys when you bounce back up the ladder in a week or two. Yaks, loads of fun skirmishing and playing mind-games with you guys, I’m sure it’s the same with you guys but when Maguuma gets a clear win like this it tends to bring players out of the woodwork, our numbers will likely be greater this coming week, it’s going to be a fun fight, best of luck to you.

I noticed it turn around right around the time I pointed out in another thread that we had outranked Maguuma in the ratings and that they would go down a tier instead of us unless they won :P
Well dont look at us, some of our guys, including myself wanted to drop a tier for a week or 2 for training on other servers or just to get a break. That’s the thing I love about Maguuma, you cant break our resolve and we’re not going to give up and hand a victory to anyone, we’ll fight till the 11th hour if necessary.

I agree, I have 2 accounts, 1 account is on a low-pop PVE server and another on a server with quite high WvW activity, both have dead PVE zones. it’s a litttle depressing to see zones that Anet put so much work into to make amazing like Fields of Ruin and Bloodtide Coast completely empty. A simple solution would be to allow us to elect to go to overflow.
I hope Anet doesnt get the idea into their head to nerf this like they did the report function, there really is no reason to since the target player can just decline the invite.

Solo is one thing but if you’re the little asura ranger we beat the crap out of tonight at champs you really must get better at discerning when you’ve been spotted and it’s time to use a waypoint. nice try on the golem rush.
I have to say even with the “We’re better than you” vids they tend to post I have never had an EB player Alt-F4 on me +1 for them on that issue. I do find it comedic when players do this, it’s well worth the 2 badges I missed out on to have that player out of WvW for a good 5 minutes. Alt-F4 away people.
I would also like to thank Shadowmoon for the free 18 badges I was able to farm off of them at our north and southeast camp tonight, you guys are almost competent, bravo. I also find the whole video discussion hilarious since I’ve NEVER seen a single player on Ehmry Bay win a single fair fight (2 weeks fighting them on NSP and 3 weeks on Maguuma), that’s why their players refuse to show up for the fight clubs, if they dont have an engineer there now spam knockdowns or some other gimmicky kitten they are not capable of beating someone.
