Terribly disappointed in this game overall

I am level 77 right now and have encountered 1 bugged skillpoint (already resolved days ago) and a few stuck DE’s. I am at 40% world completion though, so there is still a lot I haven’t seen yet.

I am still amazed how quickly people manage to get to (almost) 100% world completion, must be playing 24/7. These people play WAY too hard.

Which MMO were you playing before GW2?

Yes, the public quests in Warhammer were great fun, untill they became deserted because people leveled up/moved on. Still the best part of Warhammer for me.

This is the biggest issue that Anet may be facing in the future: population too low/spread out that you are doing DE’s in your lonesome, or that they never really trigger(I realize that you can initiate a lot of them yourself).

GW2 is beautiful, immersive and most of all fun

Great game. I have almost hit level 80 and there is still a HUGE list of stuff I want to do. If only to just roam the zones and participate in events that I encounter. Doing DE’s has not gotten old yet, I guess for some they were just a way to get to level 80 though.

I don't like scripted weather

Charrgirl, I hear you. The thing is, there actually is dynamic weather(well, at least there is rain), however because of the low timer and the fact that the effects are quit anemic, you hardly notice it. The last (the anemic effects) is what bothers me the most about weather effects in pretty much every MMO. Same for the visibility at night.

A barely noticable drizzle is not what I would call exiting. And if you want to set a gloomy mood with a drizzle, then at least the sky and lighting should get considerable darker. When it starts to snow, or hard rain, visibility should become less: not ridiculously so, but at least the horizon should ge closer to you(Everquest does this!).

There should be a gathering of clouds, with an overall darkening of the light and sky (Rift has this to an extent). Then a hard rain should set in with lightning flashes and thunder (Everquest has this! inluding the lighning). There should be a sound of wind, with trees and shrubs moving (violently) in the wind.

I am convinced that Speedtree (which most MMO’s use for their shrubbery) can emulate this.

The saddest thing is, Rift has gotten some of these ominous signs of an upcoming storm right (I think the zone is Moonshade or some), clouds gather, the sky darkens, so I was really expecting some serious wind and rain and impaired visibility, however all that happens is a barely noticable drizzle….. such a pity.

They know how to do some of those things though: there is actually some very atmospheric weather going on in that low level FAE dungeon (Guardians), at the top. There is a snowstorm goin on there with really low visibility, and a good feeling of a blizzard. Still scripted weather, but would be GREAT if they implemented that as dynamic weather in a snowy zone.

I just do not get why the best (most ominous, with the most impact) weather effects are still in one of the oldest games (EQ). Is it to not “impair” the gameplay of people too much?

Would kill for some serious weather effects/changes.

(And I would be totally ok with a toggle to turn it off, that snowstorm in WvW was lagging me up badly too. )

The one I played rather intensely right before GW2 was Rift. I love GW 2 but I did order the expansion for Rift too. I feel these 2 games complement eachother in a great way, so I see myself playing both in the future. I like that both have the “Public Questing” now (Instant Adventures in Rift, DE’s in GW2) because I just can not seem to get enough of that paricular playstyle.

I feel that Rift has a bit more meaty Lore and background, while I think GW2 has the more vibrant and alive world(lovely chitchatting of NPC’s). Rift has more of a power progression, while GW2 is more relaxed in that way.

And off course I log into Everquest now and then, purely for nostalgic purpose, not for real play( gotta love FTP).

Cheers!

Toggle for auto-consuming a stack of food.

I constantly forget to re-apply my foodbuff, so I would like to be able to set a toggle on a stack of food so that it auto-consumes from the stack when the foodbuff runs out.

Could also be somewhat of a boost to the (food) economy since as it is now I use a food item once or twice a play-session: at this rate it will take me about 1 year to eat through my stacks of food (became a Chef).

While I have several suggestions to improve the game, listing them all here would take too long so for now I will stick with the one that bugs me the most! When a skill is on cool down and you are out of combat, you are currently unable to swap to a new skill in that slot until the cool down is over. My suggestion is simple, allow us to swap to a new skill BUT keep the cool down for that slot active when the new skill is chosen. It is rather annoying having to wait for the cool down to end to swap out the skill.

Oh yes, definately this.

Hello, I would like to suggest an “auto-consume” toggle for foodstacks so it keeps re-applying the foodbuff when it expires. This way you do not have to keep track of when your food-buff expires and have to manually apply it again.

Could also be good for the economy, I am sure much more food will be consumed when you can put a stack on auto-consume: right now I constantly forget about it and maybe use 1 food item per play session.

Thanks for listening!

Glad to see this post, I have a suggestion but nowhere to put it!
(My suggestion would be a possibility to click on a stack of food and have it auto-consume the stack everytime the food expires).
