Are they really going to sell different skins that are entirely different animals? Or just mix up the coloring/fur on the existing ones?
Considering all the work that went into animations for these 4 mounts, I don’t think we will see a new Scorpion mount in the store for 400 (or 800) gems.
Edit: Shirlias beat me to it.
I am not sure about the Soulbeast spec myself, I may fiddle a bit with some of the Beastskills for a while but I am prety sure I will stick with my condi trap ranger.
However I am looking forward to the new Mounts, doing the Masteries and a lot of new content to explore in this wonderful immersive game.
I am also looking forward to using the Mounts in the old world: even with all the Waypoints, I still think there is too much hoofing it in GW2. The mounts are faster, they seem to be troubled much less by mobs that aggro and cripple you and they feel good. Hoepfully I can now also get rid of the Runes that give me 25% speedboost since I felt this was the only way to get constant Speed without giving up a utility skill or use the worthless Druidspec/trait.
But yeah, could have been more exited about the Elite Spec.
The draw was:
1) Having a large multi-week/month project to provide some structure to my playing;
2) Challenging myself to do stuff that I would usually not do, like WvW, fractals and dungeons;
3) the swappable stats;
4) a small urge to belong to the (ever-increasing) Legendary-owning crowd;
5) I wanted to max out my Masterypoints so I figured “why not make a legendary now that I got all the Masteries unlocked for it”
I now have two legendaries, Astralaria and Rodgort and I think my Ranger looks kinda kitten with them both drawn. But yeah, nobody notices, I am sure.
Definately no regrets though, it really spiced up my playing. I especially love to do the Collection achievements, so you will never see me do one of those new Legendaries that do not have these anymore for the precursor.

Can you guess who this is?
Lady Brienne of Tarth?
Mm, pic not included in quote. Anyway, original post is on the first page.
(edited by Tyncale.1629)
I like them. I do not find much fun in PvP or WvW, nor do I enjoy the really hard and grindy Achievements but the Mastery system was the perfect way to challenge me when I needed all those Points in order to make a HoT Legendary. It also challenged me to do Fractals and Dungeons (for my second Legendary Rodgort) in order to get enough Tyria Mastery points. There are definately several HoT Adventures that I will never get the point for: most Gold Medals are out of my reach.
The system is much better then Gear resets and extra levels.
I do agree with a few of the points though: some tweaks are needed. I especially dislike the fact that some points are locked behind the Raid thing so that I can never earn spirit shards in HoT. This makes revisiting HoT less interesting for me though I still do it for lots of the other currencies off course.
I would like the Masteries that we earn in HoT and LS to be useful in new content too, but I think this will be hard to do for every Mastery. I do not think we will see Wallochs or jumping shrooms in the Desert but who knows? But now we get Mount masteries which are useful in old content too so that is a good thing!

Just trying to get a grasp of what this specific part of Merging will mean for us. I am only mentioning Traits that affect the pet only. I assume traits that affects both Pet and us will stay the same(not double up or anything). I am also assuming you can actually swap pets while in Beastmode so I added the traits that have pet-only perks when swapping pets. This may not be true though. I added some remarks but feel free to give your own opinion. ALso please keep this in mind: https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/241022/Trait.png So Traits will definately be adjusted.
Marksmanship:
- Alpha Training —-> Pets have Opening Strike.
Skirmishing: none
Wilderness Survival:
- Expertise Training —-> Pets deal extra condition damage and have their condition durations increased. Hell yeah!
- Shared Anguish —-> Incoming Disables are transferred to your pet instead. ( I wonder if and what they will do with this one. Maybe transfer it to the mob?
)
- Empathic Bond —-> Pets periodically take Conditions from you. Same question.
- Poison Master —-> After swapping pets, your pet’s first attack will inflict poison; your poison damage is increased. Would be nice to both inflict Poison and have the poison damage increased.
Nature Magic:
- Vigorous Training —-> Pets grant vigor to nearby allies when you swap pets.
- Lingering Magic —-> Boons applied by you and your pets last longer. Would be nice if this would work on the pet-skills we inherit when merged, since we now have more control over them.
- Invigorating Bond —-> Your pet heals allies in an area when executing a command F2 ability. Since we do not seem to inherit the F2 pet skill when merged, I do not think this will work. Maybe a specific Pet-group skill could be a replacement for this.
Beastmastery:
- Pack Alpha —-> Your pet is more powerful, and their skills gain recharge reduction. This would be nice. Probably only works on the inherited and group-skills though.
- Go for the Eyes —-> Your pet gains toughness. Your pet’s command [F2] ability causes blindness to foes around it. Only the Toughness gets inherited?
- Companion’s Might —-> Your critical hits grant might to your pet. Critical strikes from your pet’s basic attack cause bleeding. Critical Strikes now grant Might to us and Bleeding to the mob? That would be nice!
- Loud Whistle —-> While your health is above the threshold, your pet deals more damage. Your pet swap gains recharge reduction. Probably No to the first part. Would be cool though. If we can swap pets while in Beastmode then the Recharge reduction will likely stay.
- Wilting Strike —-> Your pet inflicts weakness on their target(s) when executing a command [F2] ability. Unknown since we do not inherit the F2 skill it seems.
- Natural Healing —-> Your pet gains natural health regeneration and improved healing. Would be nice! Will this work on our regular heal too or just inherited Pet-heals?
- Pets Prowess —-> Pets move faster and deal more damage on critical hits. Yeah, I would love this one. Even if just for the speed increase.
- Beastly Warden —-> Your pet taunts foes near them when executing a command [F2] ability. Taunt in PvE could be nice, but since this is an F2 skill, probably a no go.
Druid: none
Any thoughts on this?
(edited by Tyncale.1629)
I’m guessing they want to avoid giving us the F2 skill because many are very powerful and they still want us to have a reason to exit beast mode and use our pet.
It said traits may not work the same on the ranger but they can’t just outright ignore them (that would be bad design). Maybe they still work but are not as strong? The might on crit trait could be really strong (what would ranger shouts do?), but obviously things like Empathic Bond do? Will it just flat out remove the conditions from us while in beast mode?
I can’t see any way around it other than making skills and traits which give the pet something when used will now give it to the ranger instead wherever possible or whenever it makes sense.
I agree, the inherited Traits should not be downgraded (or changed) too much when merged, else the Spec would fall flat, at least for me. I think something like Pet’s Prowess (Pet speed) could easily be inherited without much change(not sure how much speed you get, but if more then 33% then bring it down to that). Other traits seem to need a closer look.
From what I can tell, rangers get two skills from the pet (not the F2 skill unfortunately) and one skill from the pet category (different from family). In the case of the jacaranda, Photosynthesize and Call lightning are the pet skills and Spiritual Reprieve is the pet category skill (which is likely shared with other support type pet, like maybe the fern hound?).
When she goes over the Iboga skills it shows three skills, so it looks like rangers will absorb their pets and gain access to three skills from them. Iboga skills inflict confusion, so I’m betting they want you to play a condi ranger in PvP. The category skill (which is also shared with the warthog) is an AoE ranged bleed.
Thanks for this. It is a pity we do not seem to inherit the F2 skill, I wonder why? However it makes sense that we also do not inherit the Pets Auto-attack skill, since we would never use that over our regular weaponskills.
I also read some tooltip that said that Traits that affect Pets may not work the same when merged with that pet. Makes sense but RIP to those OP combo’s.
I like how we inherit some sort of groupbuff/stat from the pet-group. Overall I think I am going to enjoy the new Elite spec, but then again, I am a strictly PvE Condi ranger, and do not care so much about PvP. And I hated Druid so this will be like my first Elite spec.
I can understand how PvP folks would be much more critical about how all of this works. For me, I just see a lot of added flavor (and new bugs probably).
Also, I have a need for speed, so I always MUST have some sort of Trait or Rune specced that gives me at least a 25% Permanent speed boost. Since I did not want to sacrifice a Utility skill for this, I used Druid spec for a long time, just for the Speed trait. I now dropped that and are using Runes instead that give me 25% speed.
However, if I can merge with my Pet and inherit the Speedboost that they get from Pet’s Prowess, that would be nice.
(edited by Tyncale.1629)
I wonder where the Pet skills are on the bar. When we merge, do we just have the 4 skills and all the rest is greyed out? Do they replace the Weaponskills or the Utility skills?
Or will they become like F1-F4?
Are the stances something entirly different that have to do with the Dagger?
Edit: looking at the post above me, I guess they will be on their own hotkeys. Would make sense, I do not think I would merge if that made me loose all my other skills.
(edited by Tyncale.1629)
It could be an interesting Spec if fusing with a pet of a certain group would give you skills/abilities that make sense for that group: for instance fusing with your Bear would increase your hitpoints and Toughness big time and add some extra heal skill.
Fusing with a Moa would give you skills that Daze and such. This would greatly add to our choices and Utility I think.
But that probably sounds a bit too good. Having to think up skills for each group would be a lot of work.
How many distinct pet-groups do we have?
And I agree with the above poster who is afraid that the Pets themselves stay as bugged as they are now: that would really suck.
Thanks Wondrouswall, that at least explains a lot. Good to see most people want more control and effectiveness of these skills.
My Drakes never use their other two attacks, Chomp and Tailswipe.
Moa’s never use Harmonic Cry.
My Bear never uses Defy Pain and only very seldomly Bite.
I am sure other pets are buggy too.
Pets should be an important part of our “flavor” and currently their skills are simply broken or underutilized. I would love to switch out pets more often if I know I can rely on their specific skills firing!
Please:
1) Fix the skills that are never firing;
2) Make them fire as soon as they are off cooldown, or better:
3) Allow us to disable/enable them so that they will never fire(disabled) or every time when they come off cooldown(enabled).
Or put them all on a hotkey(though I would prefer option 3).
Yes, I have to nuance my rant. Drakes indeed never use their other two attacks, I started using one today for a while and that is how I came to my post. My Moa never uses Harmonic Cry, just Frenzied attack.
I think my cats use both Bite and Maul. I have not tried other pets but obviously this is a very broken part of our Pets.
It would indeed be best if we had some control over these other two attacks: if Anet does not want to put them on a hotkey, then maybe they should allow people to disable them. And when enabled, the pet should just fire them as soon as it is off cooldown.
Enabling/disabling can only be done out of Combat. This does not seem like too hard a fix.
I am sure this topic must have come up more often but why do we even have those 2 Pet attacks, next to the F2 attack and Auto attack? I checked my Combat log and the other two attacks are never used. Yet they are often nice attacks which would hugely spice up my choices in Combat if they would work.
Has Anet ever acknowledged that this is a problem? I can understand it if they do not want to let us control these attacks, but how about just let the pet use them when they are off cooldown?
I do not understand why any coding went into this if they are so underused. ( I am sure people sometimes see them pop up in their combat log). Enabling them would improve our class very much imo.
Edit: I had to edit my topic title so often because of the stupid 45 character rule that I borked it. Should read “Pet Attacks 3 AND 4 never used.”
(edited by Tyncale.1629)
Never mind, reading comprehension ftw.
(edited by Tyncale.1629)
For me, having to do the Fractals and the WvW reward track were the biggest hurdle for getting Astralaria. I am not comfortable in groups and I am not a great fan of PvP, so I guess we all have our dislikes/limitations.
In the end I am glad I did them though: the Fractals proved to be fun in themselves(still not a fan of grouping), and the WvW just meant tacking onto a zerg and prepare yourself for some mindnumbingly “back and forthing”.
I think Anet has been pretty generous in providing enough HoT Mastery Points: I found getting enough Tyria Mastery points much harder.
But even those were gotten over time. The Mastery Points that are hardest to get are the ones that are locked behind some serious Twitch play: some of the Gold medals for minigames in HoT, some of the Story achievements where you have to perfectly time your every move/dodge for the whole instance.
I feel that these points are only beholden for the Young who still have good reaction time, and/or the zest (or stupidity?) to repeat these so many times, that they finally succeed through sheer muscle memory. I am too old for that.
For instance, I know I will never manage that Halloween Jumping puzzel with the spinning tower.
Anyway, I think Anet did a good job of throwing up some hurdles without completely locking these behind impossible gates.
(edited by Tyncale.1629)
A resurrection but only to help those that feel this is bugged because the rng is treating them unkindly.
I had to mine at least 60 Nodes before I got mine today. It came from an oricalchum node, and I was using a regular NPC bought orichalcum pick. I normally use my Watchwork pick but I wanted to eliminate any possibility that the Auric lodestone was kept from dropping because of the sprockets that randomly drop with this pick.
I do not think these are on the same loot-table anyway, but as long as an Anet dev does not chime in on this to clear this up, I was playing safe.
So not bugged!
(Btw, I think Kumouta was talking about Auric Slivers, not Auric Lodestones. The slivers indeed drop about every other node).
There’s a few things I hope about Mounts:
Summoning a mount is instant:
They will be considerable faster then Swiftness or other Speedboosts;
When Mounted you do not draw aggro from mobs; how lovely would it be if you could traverse HoT without being crippled every second. (I know, if you are a good player you can avoid most of the attention of mobs, but I also want to be lazy sometimes.)
Else I do not see much use for them other then looks, and traversing the very large new maps.
Hell yes to 1! I do not change clothes much but 2 definately sounds like a good plan too. I do not do much PvP so I will refrain from commenting on 3 and 4.
I am positive that Anet would like to implement 1 at least but maybe it is more work then we think. Good suggestions!
I am still waiting for the Shooting Gallery in Divinity’s Reach to open.
I think GW2 is a great game, and good value for money, but they definately did not deliver on the “30” minigames that was talked about pre-launch.
The mini-games that are actually in the game are pretty much all competitive, actionbased twitch games, which is not my cup of tea. I would love to see some games that are not on some timer and require a little planning and tactics.
Card games, Darts, some gambling games, stuff like that.
I agree that the collection part of the Precursors is the best part of a Legendary. It tickles the Explorer nerve big time, and also managed to take me out of my comfortzone because I had to do WvW, Dungeons and Fractals, things I use to ignore because I am not a fan of grouping/PvP. But now I feel good about the fact that I managed to do that part anyway.
As to the materials part: I think I collected 1/4th of the mats myself over the years of casual play, and I bought the rest with Gold that I bought with gems.
I have no qualms about this, because the Precursor Collection part is so much fun and already challenged me to a degree.
I think many more folks like me fuel the Economy in this way, and I do not see Anet ever taking a “less mats” approach to this.
However, I do think that every new Legendary should at least have this Exploratory Collection part to it. I definately will not be doing any Legendary that is just about mats.
Seems I was too late, apparently they were only available for 7 hours, I thought that was 7 days.
Better luck next time, maybe the other 2 lounge passes will soon be up for sale.
Thanks guys, I think I will buy one. The running you still have to do in Lions Arch is certainly inconvenient since I like to craft and often buy a lot of mats on the AH.
I am a convenience guy, I do not mind putting a few gems in that.
Thanks.
There is actually enough EXP to be overlevelled on each map if you complete them slowly. It is easy to get underlevelled if you rush map completion though.
If you head to Lions Arch, you can enter through any of the portals to each races city and there are exits there to 4 other starting areas (1-15) where you can complete lower level maps to catch up. There are also maps up to level 50 for each area.
Events are everywhere but only spawn about once every 15mins so its easy to miss them. Heres a link to a map that shows every possible event in the game. http://gw2timer.com/. Meta events provide good exp as the events chain and you dont have to wait around. Wiki lists them all.
You can also gain exp by crafting, gathering materials or using exp scrolls/tomes which you get from daily achievements and log in rewards.
Wow at that website, that is great stuff. Been playing with it a bit. I was wondering, does it display regular events too? Not in realtime off course, or a schedule (since they are so frequent and often interlinked)but just location and possible pathing?
I see some of them are for sale now and I was wondering what the extra benefit is.
What I know: they are a one way waypoint to a special location, free to use and you have all utilities in a small area.
When I open my map and pay at most 4 silver to get to Lions Arch, I pretty much get the same. So there must be more to it.
Is it the special location that you can not reach otherwise? Do people dislike the 10-20 yard runs that you still have in Lions Arch? Do the silvers that you save add up to a substantial sum over time? Is there whacky roleplaying going on in those locations?
I am considering buying one. People with passes, please enlighten me.

“To be sure that we get a fair treatment in all matters of
importance . . if we can not expect fair treatment in a mere
Video Game .. then how can we then expect to get it elsewhere.”
That was funny. You love to play with words, uh?
I guess what it should read is: “If we can not expect fair treatment in cases that actually matter (like a homicide in the real world) what can we expect in a mere videogame.”
But you decided to mix that up a little for your case. Oh well, I guess videogames are so important for some people that they would want their rules to be the measuring stick for justice everywhere.
The only use for mounts in the existing zones for me would be if being mounted makes you non-aggro to mobs as long as you do not attack them. That would also be a huge selling point for me, since the constant aggro is one the things that I do not like in GW2.
So if there are any Horse masteries, then I hope becoming non aggro is one of them.
If they only release horses because the new Zones are so big (and low on Waypoints?) then I think that’s a cheesy way to implement them.
When horses are usable in the old zones but you get unmounted every time a mob hits you (with a ranged attack) then I do not ever see myself mounting a horse in these zones.

The introvert thread made me realize how much Commanders enhance/facilitate the fun I have in this game, as a player that does not really like to group in Fractals, Dungeons or sPvP. I am not guilded.
I love GW2’s concept of DE’s, it is still my main fun in the game. I also love to do Open World Bosses, Dynamic Event chains and Farm Trains, as well as zerging in WvW(to get achievements for my Legendary).
Because of Commanders I could do a WvW track, got all the achievements for Triple Trouble and Tequatl and have farmed many, many ingredients for my crafts and Legendary. I always scout the Map to see if I see any Commander tags.
A big thank you from me, and hopefully Anet will continue on the path of Open World content and DE’s.
Introvert here!
I am not guilded and am used to do only Open World content: I love the whole concept of DE’s where you are part of the crowd, trying to accomplish something, without being coralled into a certain group, on a certain location, within a certain timeframe. Dungeons, Fractals, sPvP are not for me.
However, because I wanted to get Astralaria, I had to overstep some boundaries, which off course felt quit satisfying after i did them (fractals). Not in the sense that fractals are now my thing, but just because it can be fun to accomplish something in a small group too.
As to the WvW part, you can simply join a zerg and make sure you never lose sight of it.
Let me use this opportunity to thank all those commanders that make Open World bosses, zerging and Farms possible for the likes of me. Thank you!
(edited by Tyncale.1629)
I like the Universe graphics on it so I chose Astralia. This was also because I really got into the HoT expansion so it made sense.
I only wish the footsteps were a little more visable, they disappear so quickly that there is barely time to appreciate the floating stars and galaxies. Off course for other players it’s probably a good thing that they toned it down, so many legendary footsteps already.
The first time I did Tequatl I got a Zojja Weaponchest.
I had not played in many months, never done Tequatl and the whole Ascended thing was quit new to me so I figured that extra Chest was par for the course. So I happily asked in mapchat “what weapons other people had gotten”.
I am sure that if OP had been there he would have popped a vein.
But relax, it only took me 200 Ogre Wars to get my Sam!
(edited by Tyncale.1629)
Still stuck at various levels of the Meta. Are devs even reading these forums? This topic dropped almost to page 5 in just 2 weeks, the amount of bugs (re)reported is rather staggering for what is supposed to be a triple A game. Is GW2 on lifesupport?
Ogre Wars have been stuck again on and off for the last few weeks. Right now it is stuck again at the “Charr and Vanguard forces are assaulting Foulbear Kraal and its Leaders” phase. Been like this the whole day.
I am bumping this because I see no use in making yet another thread about this: the bug seems to be the exact same one that has been plagueing this event forever now.
Here is the most extensive writeup about this bug: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/OGRE-WARS-full-path-to-event-lock-up
And an older thread with dev-participation when they were still interested in this bug: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Ogre-Wars-in-new-game-update
(edited by Tyncale.1629)
Could not get into HoT at first, but then I pushed through and had my most serious bout of playing GW2 yet since then. Even got my Astralaria! I absolutely love the gliding, it’s one of those features that renews the game for me.
I am a bit in a rut now, I do not think I will be playing much untill a new expansion hits.
My biggest hopes?
Cantha and/or Heroes/henchmen (for dungeons only) Hey, I can dream!
Add my well wishes to both Daniel and Horia. The art in the GW games is top notch, it is definately one of the main reasons I keep coming back to play the game. Every nook and cranny seems to have handmade details and the landscape feels real, yet has that Fantasy feel.
Such a huge choice in great-looking armors and weapons, and the avatars themselves have managed to steer clear of the uncanny valley which is a great accomplishment in my book.
The story itself does not really grab me, however I do like to do the story events as scripted content as opposed to the roaming and grinding I do usually.
One reason the story does not grab me is because I do not like myself. That is, how my Human character behaves, reacts and talks. He is way to understanding, too friendly, a real goodie two shoes, almost a pushover. He constantly takes the high road, forgives everyone, wants to take no credit, you name it, it sickens me.
I actually do like his looks, and also his voice itself, only if he weren’t such a boy scout.
Unfortunately I do not like to play a Charr either, nor any other race: I find all of them to be very stereotypical, very flat in how they react to the events and other NPC’s.
I’m of the opinion that, if tactical coordination to the degree it is on this boss event isn’t required on the other boss events, then it shouldn’t be required on this either.
That’s your mistake right there. Comparing Triple Trouble to other world bosses. As it’s not a standard world boss. It’s more comparable to an open world raid. Originally when TT came out, days went by before anyone could clear it. It was designed to be challenging content for people looking for a challenge. Imagine fighting Shadow Behemoth, Shatterer and Claw of Jormag at the same time, and then you have a comparison.
Open World Raid sounds like a good description for this event and I think a lot of frustration could be avoided if Anet labeled it as such.
In the past I had joined a few pug-attempts but it soon became clear that this event was the odd one out, and I just left it alone. Untill I needed the Mastery points, which is when I started to investigate the event further.
I found a german community who hosts this event on a regular basis. All you need to do is join their Teamspeak and listen closely to the instructions. I am not in a Guild myself, nor do I like to group up for dungeons and such, but they make it very easy and it’s fun to participate, especially when you are finally finishing the event succesfully. They also give clear instructions on how and when to get certain achievements. Very cool.
I joined them 4 or 5 times, covering all three Heads and achievements.
TS: gw2ts.de
NB, when I did this with them, their TS was in English and so were all instructions, not sure if they still do that since the TS page now seems to be all in German.
Anyway, they do the Wurm event every tuesday at 20.15 eurotime(or maybe every day even ), probably need to connect to TS a bit earliler then that.
I felt overwhelmed by the first HoT map too: the verticalness and overall convoluted map design, paired with monsters that were even more annoying then all the undead stuff in the top 3 Tyria maps made me think that I would never have fun exploring this.
So I quit for a while, and then for some reason returned, joined a zerg that was doing an event chain and slowly grew into the whole HoT and flying thing.
And now I can not even imagine how dull exploring/running aorund would be without the flying. Not only does it fit perfectly in the HoT maps (obviously) but it has spiced up (and sortoff opened up) the old world too.
Gliding imo is the best addition to the game in years. You really need to master all the gliding stuff though, that make it so much more fun.
I am also enjoying the meta-events in the HoT maps, but I have always liked the “join a zerg” part of this game so your mileage may vary on those. It’s the perfect group-play for me at least.

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Wizard's_Fief
I am convinced that early in the game I participated in an event where the elementals went berserk and you had to save the town. But no mention of that anywhere now. Did I dream it?
I have seen several threads about Wizard’s Fief but they all talk about possible events in the future that may be implemented here, and the Wizards tower that you currently can not reach.
Was this a temporary event maybe? But then I would have expected it to be mentioned on the wiki as a historical event.
It is obvious that there are many hints in the dialogue that those Elementals may become hostile (or have been in the past).
You are correct: there used to be a “save the town” event (like so many that occur throughout Tyria) where the elementals had an uprising or some such. I played it also in early days. Maybe it was in the Beta and they took it out. Did you play the Beta?
Yes, I indeed played beta weekends, that must have been it! And as Hazy replied, apparently they retired some events after LS1 so it might have been there still at release but not for very long.
It was definately not the Karka event: I kinda missed that entire episode since I had stopped playing then. And it was definately the Elementals we were fighting.
I am glad that I did not dream it. It is a pity it is gone, because I find that particular location/town one of the coolest locations in the game. And GW2 has a LOT of beautiful locations. If Anet ever implements some kind of instanced housing then I would want my clickable door in Wizard’s Fief.
Thanks for all the answers, guys.

Found him! Weird, I am positive that I looked in that spot before. He is standing next to Viewpoint. Thanks for reading.
Been searching for an hour or so on the internet to get a location, or to see if they maybe took these out but no luck. As far as I can see the wiki mentions them but does not give a location of the (Asura) vendor? Driving me crazy! I am talking about the Karma merchant that is supposed to sell the banditweapons so I can get that achievement and the bag.
I am usually pretty good at finding conclusive information through google but I am really frustrated now. Help much appreciated.
See this thread, last part how to solve this. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Hero-Point-Bugged-Treacherous-Path-Waypoint/first#post5697981
Yup, Xhyros has it right. Re-do the Hero Challenge to the east of the Faren Waypoint (even if it shows as finished) and you will get an update to your Hero challenges which meant map completion for me. Thanks!
Yup, at first I did not really understand what Xhyros meant but you indeed have to “re-do” the Hero challenge that is east of the Faren Waypoint(even if it is marked as finished), and is now a simple channel . Thanks!
Xhyros, I do not understand what you are saying. Do you mean to say that instead of finishing this Hero Challenge(which does not give me points or an update), I need to get a certain Mastery Insight point, in order to get updated for a Hero Challenge (so I can complete my map)?
EDIT: I checked and that is indeed what you meant So for those that need that last Hero Points challenge: re-visit that Hero Challenge that is to the east of Farens Waypoint (even if it shows as finished) and interact with it. It is indeed a simple “Channel” after which my Hero Challenges were completed and I got my map completion! The icon of the Hero Challenge at the Treacherous Path Waypoint will update to a “finished” state too.
Thanks Xhyros.

Yes, same for me, did this event like 10 times, no update. I indeed got the chest, but no points and the event is still marked as unfinished. The Icon next to the title of the event in my UI also turns green(from grey) as soon as I start doing damage so it seems as if I should be included in the reward.
Funny how the OP seems to completely ignore the advice of trying a dungeon or some sPvP, and rather rips into the open world leveling experience some more.
I think he just wants to complain about something that disappoints him, but is not really looking for an answer.
I haven’t had much experience with bugs in the game, but does it always take so long for Arenanet to fix a bug like this?
