All zerg, all the time.
Nah, we had this Asuran father and son relation drama already in GW1, Anet would not recycle that for GW2 with a father – daughter thing would they…?
Oh, heavens, no. ANet would never recycle ANYTHING from their previous game to use for this game. EVER. Perish the thought.
For fighting kaiju, obviously.
“RNG isn’t working in my favor! MF is broken!”
“RNG is working in my favor! MF is fine!”
BR?
Jajajajaja.
Heh. The “Go on.” string used in last month’s release is what we call a “master linked” string. Essentially, the conversation keeps referencing the same text guid to save on text and localization word count. Every month we have a fixed budget, and if changes to any content (like a conversation) come after our lockdown deadline, we have to solve the issue using master linked text.
In other words, while it’s funny that the convo kept saying “Go on” with every transition, it was due to a combination of a tight deadline and limited word count and not a stylistic choice.
Not gonna say that the budget is going to get even worse when people demand their money back from a reskin, (jk, you get to keep the money, we just get gems.), or that giving an extra week would extend not only extend the deadline and help fix the bugs from the EotM release, but I’m definitely thinking it.
Played for about 3 hours today, logged off for about an hour, and just logged back on. Back to NumPad being used for skills.
And now it’s back to normal. My NumPad is now fine without me having to have it be Alt + NumPad. I’ll update this if it switches back again.
Definitely not the NumLock. Tried it with NumLock off and on. Still says my NumPad is my skill.
Occasionally, my num pad numbers aren’t being used for they normally are (WvW, Guild, TP, Hero, Contacts, and Inventory) but instead are being used for the skill it corresponds to. For example, my 5 num pad button is normally my Guild Dialog, but when this bug happens it turns into what my 5 skill on the keyboard is. This bug comes and goes. I’ll log out, log back in, and it’ll still be the corresponding keyboard skill. I’ll come back a couple hours later, and it’ll be the Dialog again.
It’s been out for nearly a week, if you have yet to figure out how to do it, don’t do it. What OP was saying how it’s demoralizing to belittle people who don’t understand the event was a legit complaint during the first couple days.
This is actually a really good solution. I can’t think of why this shouldn’t be implemented. My literal only concern is for people who use “slow” weapons. Necro staff comes to mind. But even then, a staff user is has a secondary weapon, I don’t know what Necro users use as their secondary, but it’s still faster than a staff.
so anet wants me to camp the next dragon for a few hours just so i dont get thrown into overflow?
You expect killing a dragon would be easier than Teq or 3W?
I meant the mechanics of it. I think they’re experimenting with different types of full map fights so the dragon death can be epic. Both of these new encounters are fighting a single boss, yet split the 120 or whatever people playing it in to small groups. The invasions split people up, but these new fights are fighting a single major boss (a la a dragon.)
Ahh. If they aren’t going to have a dragon fight instanced like Zhaitan, then I hope it’s like Marionette. I also very much hope it’s permanent.
Different computers for different folks. Anyway, I don’t think ANet should NOT put out content based on people who have subpar computers.
On topic, I don’t think the laser is going to be used for fighting the actual dragon. It might be, but I believe she’ll be using the toxic from the Toxic Alliance.
Here’s my take on it. For a little bit, I thought she was maybe a champion of Mordremoth. Then I realized that didn’t make sense. She saw something when she looked into the Eternal Alchemy. And that something is causing her already fragile mind to go crazier. Just imagine you were being watched for your entire life. It’d make you go crazy. How do you stop the eyes from watching you? Destroy the eyes. Her entire plan is to destroy Primordus.
Here’s why it makes sense. The first part of the LS was the Molten Alliance. What do the probes look like they built by? The Molten Alliance. She now has the means to pinpoint the eyes’ location.
Next up we have the Aetherblades. The entire thing started with an assassination to open up a council spot in LA. Where are the eyes? In LA. That spot would allow easy access to the dragon. The Aetherblades also have flying blimps and lasers. This’ll come in handy.
The only thing I cannot understand is why she revealed herself during Queen Jennah’s anniversary. What this proved beyond their being an actual entity pulling the strings is beyond me. Maybe ANet just needed an occasion to actually show Scarlet. Maybe I’m completely wrong. Anyway… She has an entire robotic army now.
With the Toxic Alliance, she was able to get poison, as is evidenced by her table in the lair and the toxic spore thing on her table. Beyond poison, she has krait. A useful race to have in water fights. IE: All over LA.
Finally, Origins. She reveals her plan to attack LA. The probes have pinpointed the exact location of the eyes, not just a general area, hence why there are more and why we can see them. She has her UFO to fly over the dragon and then use the Molten drill and Aether laser to reach it. With the dragon reached, she’ll use her toxic poison to kill the dragon while her twisted army prevents people from stopping her.
tl;dr – Scarlet is crazy and is all about the “ends justify the means.”
EDIT: I had another thought. Maybe she’ll use the poison on the Pale Tree. Basically, everything remains the same, but instead of a dragon, it’s the Pale Tree.

She’s definitely inside for the fight. But outside of combat, I’ll take a mount that gives 33% speed boost.
“Get something good.” All I’ve gotten is a bunch of greens and a couple rares. Nothing truly worthwhile.
Rage Against The Twisted.
The first server tat cleared must not hav ben ur server.
So… Scarlet is a champion of the dragons?
Well, most likely. But seeing how the event hasn’t ended, no idea.
What are you going to do with after the event?
Marionette was really fun. Haven’t beaten it yet, though. Still a blast.
3W on the other hand… That was just a struggle. Maybe it was the fact I disconnected during the escort, or the fact I had no idea what to do during the actually fight. Perhaps it’ll get better after a full-blown gets released.
How close did you actually get to killing all 3?
I’m a 3rd shifter, too. And I’m not having a problem with actually doing the events, I’m having an issue completing them. If I want to actually do the events, I make time. If you don’t want to actually do the events, don’t make time.
Why can’t I combine the 3 to make a 3 headed wurm mini?
Inb4 champ of Mordremoth.
Does combining 3 zergs into 1 zerg increase the scaling? Is there even scaling?
Also, I always thought all 3 needed to be killed within a certain time of the other two. I have no idea if ANet ever said this was the case, it’s just my assumption.
Welp, then don’t do them.
I did the solo instance on two characters and even tried it once manually. Nothing.
Honestly, all this does is promote the whole “he killed me, so I’m going to tell him where he is!” mentality.
