Heya. I’m currently on a lowpop server and it is sinking. I’m in the last WvW guild that stands. Sadly even after multiple offers from other servers, my guild doesn’t want to transfer, actually mostly the leader but that’s another story.

I play mostly my guardian but I also have a Necro and Ranger. All my toons are fully geared. I’m personally a lot more competent on my Guardian but I still do fine on Necro.

I was wondering if any server with good WvW guilds were actually looking for good players.

WvW is the only thing I do, I’m not looking for the zergy type of play. Mindlessly pressing 1 is really not my thing. I don’t want to just roam as havoc either. I want mid sized organised crew to play with and that gets kitten done.

I’m hardcore/semi-hardcore player and I play EASTERN time usually around 18h-19h to 23h-24h and I also like to GvG.

I see all theses peoples crying because they cant win ’’uneven’’ match up.

I feel there is a Call of Duty syndrome here. If you are winning it means it was a fair fight and you outplayed your enemies. If it’s the opposite, they had too many guardians, too many ACs, they had a bigger zerg…

On Kaineng we had a big exodus of 3 of the biggest WvW guilds while we were in tier 2 or 3 I think. We fought for like 3 months constantly being outnumbered on the way down.

but we decided to get organised, not only as a guild, organised server-wide.
We train pugs and lowbies into basic WvW strategies. We help people build themselves around group play and support instead of 1v1 and help them get PVT gear, we train new commanders at leading players.

Kaineng is one tight community, all guilds work together for the greater good.
We are still outnumbered in most of our match up but even our pugs usually win most
of the fights, even if outnumbered. Our pugs know the meaning and how to use combo fields, can move tight and stick to the commander. Imagine what our organised guilds can do !

so my response to OP is organise yourself but hey I know it’s easier to say that it’s game’s fault and it’s not well balanced.

Gotta organise, on Kaineng we don’t have the numbers to match other servers but we trained all guilds and pugs to all basic WvW strategies like moving in groups, fire/water field, buffs and combo.

Its working very well, whats killing us on the ranking its our lack of 24h coverage. so we end up losing, but on the battlefield, most of the time we win the fights when outnumbered most of the time.

by outplaying your enemies you may counter their number. just gotta organise with everyone for this.

It’s gone so well over here, we had few ppl who started to join Kaineng even tho we ain’t high pop top of the list server.

A guild even asked us to pool them golds to help them transfer and most guilds contributed.

to all NSPs in NSP borderland in like the past 2hrs. You guys are better than BP thats for sure but still you guys seem to be so squishy, i wonder if pugs wear PVT on NSP but it felt like paper!

The most annoying part about him is when he follow the zerg he keep dropping random blueprints to waste everyone’s supply.

We are already outnumbered against most server.. This guy sure doesn’t help.

Most guilds now don’t want to run with the commander’s tag up because it will attract him. PuGs can no longer play with us because of this guy.

Yeah I just realised that too on my DXDIAG, Will upgrade to 64 bit next week and will post feedback.

Anyone can help me there? I can play when using Best Performance graphics but its fugly as hell.

I’m using a GTX 650 and all drivers are up to date.

At this point I can’t even play at all anymore

since last patch everything is kittened up. Low FPS and a lot of us are getting lots of crashes.

it used to run Great buti dont how Anet did this but kitten they failed kitten this patch

My computer is brand new and Guild Wars is like the only program installed on my computer, besides TeamSpeak and Battlefield 3.

So it’s really not a problem with having too many programs open.

don’t want to bash bindly on the last patch but all theses problems started with dragon thingy patch,

Play whichever you like. Both engi and ranger have viable builds that can work in group set ups. What makes them both kind of useless is because any other class can do whatever it is they’re trying to do better, faster, and/or easier (except Entangle, maybe).

Anyone who says all an engineer can so is drop turrets is seriously dumb and you should never listen to them about any class in the game. Do what you want to do, play them both and see what you like. You can be whatever you want to be, I believe in you.

Still doesn’t work. After updatimng my drivers I tried to log in.

I put my graphics to Auto-Detect.
Run toward Divinity’s Reach Black Lion Market.
open tab , tab becomes multi-color
Crash with Error message that I tried to Print Screen but for some reason it didn’t save into my GW2 Folder and I can’t find it on my computer either

Yeah I know it’s a weird amount of Ram, I was as much surprised as you when reading the DXDIAG log but its what it says.

My drivers were in fact not up to date I’m currently downloading update, hoping it will fix the problem. I’ll post back when I’ll have tested the results.

Engineer or Ranger ?

Ok so in my guild theres that debate about which of theses 2 classes have more utility for WvW.

Some say Rangers blow and they good for nothing while Rangers say well its the Engy who cant do kitten but drop turrets.

I was wondering which one I should get to 80 and gear up to do WvW.

So which one with which build has more utility for WvW, skirmishes and zerg.

I just got a new computer and when I installed GW2 the game set itself with Auto-Detect in the graphic menu. but as soon as a I meet 20+ players around me like in Lion’s Arch or WvW, the game crashes

I tried using ‘’Best-Performance’’ setting and its working very well but dam I didnt buy a new computer to play with FUGLY graphics.

GG to GODS on this skirmish 5mins ago on KBL from CNB. Was fun !

we got a strong community and very helpful players there

We don’t have numbers of other server but we sure have quality players, even our pugs rock. we always manage to win outmanned fight.

guilds work together to train people who are new/bad at WvW. we have public TS with WvW Training Nights.

Hey folks, I wonder if there is a good way to build my guardian for WvW with a sword/shield combo.

My Hammer/Staff with PVT gear is very effective but I’m kind of bored of it.

plus, I really like the way Sword/Shield looks like! I would prefer to be strong in 1v1 rather than me useful in Zergs if that could help,

Ok so Ive always played a 20/30/20/0/0 Longbow/Short Bow ranger. So far in WvW it’s always been super effective, I have some good defensive stats and I can manage to deal some very respectable damage.

I’ve started roaming, scouting and I realised that every time I cross a thief or a mesmer I’m always dead.

For mesmers it’s not even wroth fighting there is simply nothing I can do against them.

I would like some help, to built up my ranger, what weapons / abilities to use ? how do you do? Thanks

Hi fellow Guardians. I played this amazing and fun class since lauch, I must have tried every spec/weapons possible over and over again. I really enjoy playing it.

I would like to ask you guys what weapons do you use with what builds, and maybe why you have chosen that weapon/trait over an old one. based on personal experiences, maybe a little feedback?

Maybe tell us which classes are your easiest targets or nemesis?

I have encountered countless Guardians using the Greatsword and personally in WvW I found it to be pretty wrothless compared to other 2handers. so I’m wondering why so many Greatsword users.

Personnally i’m Altruistic Healing build with (10/0/30/25/5) traits
using a Staff and Hammer with Shouts and Wall of Reflect

Full PVT gear + Zerker/Knight Amulets and rings. sitting at 21k health, 3k armor , 20 ish % crit and + 40 crit dmg and about 3500-4000 attack depending on my buffs

Personally my easier targets are Rangers and other Guardians

and my nemesis is the kitten Necromancer.

Thanks for the info, some ppl messaged me about their own server. It seems like guild exodus are pretty common when ppl want a fast way into T1…. pretty sad

I played on Kaineng since nearly launch and the server was really awesome. The community was nice and the players were skilled.

but some people decided they didnt like being in T2 anymore they wanted more so they just xfered out.

Now the server is pretty crappy. We still have really really good players but against zergs of 50-60 all day. even with zillion of arrow carts we can’t even defend what we have, there is simply not enough players to man all the sieges we can built. People show up at reset, then it’s dead for the rest of the week.

So, I was wondering what are the servers that have some pretty active population/community / balanced match up ?

Btw I’m really not a Zerg fan so no T1 for me.
