Yes, I see that also. And when you log into the game, it displays the same thing from other players in the guild looking at you. Shows the guild name, but just [] with no guild tag.

Whatever this patch was supposed to fix, it broke more things… sorry but just giving feedback…

Yea, was the player in your party before you logged out prior to the patch? If so, the person is actually in your party, you just can’t see them. And they can’t see you in the party list.

After inviting party members, they are part of the party but most members can’t tell because it doesn’t show in either the portrait or the shortened display option. This started happening immediately after signing in at about 1:00am on 9/19.

For all of the players stating the catapult to the vista is bugged, it’s NOT! The message stating “Temporarily Disabled” applies to something else in the area of the catapult.

What you have to do is wait until the boss stops talking about launching cows to his assistant. This vista is on a TIME BASED system!

Here is proof: On my world in Diessa Plateau players kept on stating that the vista catapult was bugged. I told em, Ok, I’ll go check it. Went there and the Harpie event was on. You have to wait until the Harpies are killed and then you have to wait some more for the dialog between the boss and his assistant to complete where he talks about launching cows and they keep on dying. The assistant will ask the boss if he should get more cows and the boss will state something like “I thought that was obvious, YES, go get some more cows”. Shortly after that is when the catapult becomes active and you have to be in front of it in order to click it. If you try to click the catapult at a different time when the Harpies are there or during the time of the dialog between the boss and assistant, IT WON’T WORK and you’ll think it’s bugged. Players that did it before didn’t realize the time to activate the catapult so they go back on another character they are leveling and see it doesn’t work and tell everyone that. Activate it at the right time and it WILL WORK!

After waiting for the event to complete, I kept getting the message “Temporarily disabled”, then I saw the dialog between the boss and his assistant and after that, I was able to activate the catapult even though I kept getting the message “Temporarily disabled”.

I use the r key to run. That’s the default to auto run. w key default is the key you hold down to keep running. Either way, the default for jump is the space bar and when pressing it, your character should jump. It works fine for me. Did you change the space bar to something else?

Multiboxing is referred to playing several accounts at the same time. There is a player at the keyboard controlling the characters.

The issues posted here can happen with any 3D graphics combat related game such as a Massively Multi-playing Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG). I experienced this issue in another popular MMORPG and that game would crash an average of 25 times daily (no exaggeration) and the computer would crash and reboot about twice daily. Following the tech support suggestions, I downloaded a program called “CPUID HWMonitor”. This software displays the temperature levels of the CPU and graphics card. Most important are the temperature levels of the CPU. According to the other MMORPG’s tech support, the levels should not go above 60C. I was experiencing above 75C on all CPU cores during heavy PvP combat with many players.

Knowing my issue was temperature related, as a test, I removed the side panels to my desktop computer because the only fan intake was at the back of the computer case. The exhaust (if you will) was at the top where the radiator was blowing out relatively warm air. This was a liquid cooled system with an Intel 990x CPU and double nVidia GTX 590’s graphics cards in SLI and a 1350 watt thermaltake power supply. The case was the Corsair 800D. When I removed the side panels I noticed there was a cover over a fan inside. There was also a cover over the back of where the CPU was. I carefully removed both of those covers as well.

The result: Not a single computer or game crash in over TWO MONTHS! Remember, I was getting 25 game crashes a DAY! No exaggeration! I would get a game crash, log back in, pick up where I left off and continue on. If the computer crashed I would reboot, log back in and keep going. Now I have not a single game or computer crash and my CPU temperature levels have never exceeded 50C.

Removing the computer side panels may not be the ideal solution because of dust, but it resolved the game and computer crashes and the system works flawlessly. My opinion is that the design of the Corsair 800D computer case is flawed. It does not have enough air flow within the case even though the internal motherboard and CPU maybe configured with a liquid cooled system.

This may not be your problem, but it fixed my crash issues. Get CPUID Hardware Monitor and check to see that your CPU temperature is not way above 60C. If it is, you may have an overheating problem that occurs when lots of graphics are happening. I found out by using that program because I had a similar problem where high graphics would crash the game or computer. I removed the sides of my computer and it reduced my CPU temperature quite substantially below 60C and I never had another crash since then in over a month.

For the record, I’ve seen this happen also. I thought it was a bug in that the guild leader was not able to represent the guild created. I was able to represent another guild but not my own. When I moved servers, the guild lost all influence but I was able to transfer guild leadership and that person was able to represent the guild.

If you read awhile back there was not going to be an auto follow added to the game, who did this come from? Is that the official stance from Arena Net that there won’t be /follow added to Guild Wars 2?

/follow command is not following another player. If this is intended to remain where there is no auto follow command in the game, please let us know.

When the guild leader moves to a new server, all guild influence is removed. Members moved to the new server won’t generate any new influence until everyone is logged out and back on then it starts all over from 0.
