4 Months to acknowledge this bug. I guess it only affects people who attempt to interact with objects so not a big priority.
Every line of dialogue in this game was monotonously read into a microphone in one take without even backround noise to make it seem like something was actually taking place. Combine that with a story that makes 70s exploitation movies look like Shakespeare. This thread is akin to opening up a sewage drain and discussing if it smells as good as fresh bread baking in the oven. The separate volume control for dialogue is a god send.
As much as I enjoy this game, I recommend to all my friends and family NOT to purchase Guild Wars 2. Not only does Anet do nothing about people griefing ‘newbs’, its largely a celebrated part of the game. Not only does it require a mere 2 votes to kick a member you are not allowed to vote “no” so you can do nothing to stop it. If you get kicked from a group, hopefully you remember their 15 character names perfectly, because the group chat will be deleted from your chat log when you are kicked.
I was kicked from a group merely for trying to defend someone who had not done the instance before, and needed an explanation. They voted us both out right before the boss died. We received no chest, no boss loot, no end of dungeon reward which is another way Arenanet facilitates griefing. The business model of the game is you pay 60 dollars upfront, and hopefully the other players make you miserable enough that you want to quit. Seems like a downward spiral to me.
People who only do dungeons with VOIP with their level 80 guildmates with full exotic and ascended gear sit on their high horse and tell everyone else the level 35 dungeon they have personally done 30 or more times is “easy” and are baffled why anyone would say its hard. I’ve never been part of an MMO community that was so out of touch. In a nutshell. “Guild Wars 2: New Players Are Not Welcome”. I feel like this game is doomed.

If Detha is frozen at the end, pull mobs into the room, get her killed, then rez her. Should fix it.
After getting my world explorer star and completing all the jumping puzzles I found myself at 174/175 Krytan. The spot I missed was Momoztli Grounds which is the very northwest corner of Bloodtide Coast.
I was at 165/166 Maguuma after getting my world explorer star and finishing all story line and jumping puzzles. The last point I discovered was “Aurora’s Remains” Which is in Brisban Wildlands, west by southwest of the ulta metamagicals waypoint, directly north of the western most skillpoint, north of Toxal Bog.
I’m tired of finishing an entire map exploration without encountering another player or a word being said in /map (I am on Henge of Denravi). Of the 24 us servers, one of them has to have the most people doing PVE, does anyone even have a good idea which server this could be?
Only eight US servers are not listed as full. New players like myself are stuck on empty servers. It stinks.
The best thing about this tool it serves as a nice little hurdle that horrendous players aren’t going over yet. I’ve only met top quality people using this site. Let’s keep it under our hats so the terribads don’t show up, let them spam LA all day as usual. 3:>
I want to do be able to do Fractals. Since I didn’t buy the game at launch, no group will take me because I have not done it before. Having played MMOs since Everquest 1, I am shocked at how many hurdles they put in front of you as far as getting a group is concerned.
Dollars to donuts someone at Arena.net hacked your account, took your gold, and sold it for real money. You did nothing wrong except you had a lot of gold. This happened back in the old days of Everquest before they knew it was important to track exactly where all the money in the game goes. They just don’t care. They got your 60 dollars. I hope you got your money’s worth.
Well I just received notice that my account suspension has been lifted which honestly shocked me after all my belly aching about it.
My name isn’t offensive per se, it just has a brand name in it, which is forbidden. I wasn’t thinking of the candy bar when I made the name. I was thinking of the Kit Cat Club, which was an 18th century English club where prominent men discussed issues of the day. I just like it because of the alliteration. It was an honest mistake, and now I am most likely never going to play Guild Wars 2 again because of it. I have been playing MMOs since the very beginning and have many fond memories of those days. I was having more fun playing GW2 then I have had playing a game for many years, its a shame it was so short lived. The 5 days were great, but it doesn’t justify the sixty dollars I spent. This is not what I signed up for.
Well now my account is banned indefinately. Why am I even allowed to post? 15 bucks a month sounds pretty good right now versus 60 dollars for 5 days. I am telling everyone and anyone who will listen to me what you are doing to me.
I was a good wow customer for 5 years, never a warning. I play your game for 5 days and I get banned.. not warned.. not reminded of the rules. BANNED for 72 hours for the name “Kit Kat Club”? You take our 60 dollars, then you do your best to prevent us from playing your game. You will not get away with this. You betray your customers and they will not return.
