Although Explorable Mode is designed to be replayable and Story Mode is a more linear experience, both can be replayed as many times as you like.
“The Story Mode is designed to be easier than the Explorable Mode. Explorable is also, as it’s name implies… very replayable.
They are supposed to be re-playable
This needs to be fixed or they need to stop spawning at some point.
Please un-nerf the re-playability
All I know was he wasn’t telegraphing ANYTHING.
Maybe he bugged because he was pulling and one shotting.
NPC got to the end and didn’t trigger the event after we did the whole dungeon.
These things shouldn’t need you to bring one of every class….
Don’t want invisible bags.
Just want to exclude mini pets from deposit all function.
Let them be deposit when you right click on them and select it.
You CAN take people who have been hacked and had their accounts returned OFF your BLOCK LIST so what exactly is the issue?
You get in a group 3 other people can hear the guy likely you’ll unblock him.
Not that hard to imagine.
I am getting spammed by the same accounts fast as I can delete/report their emails.
I’d also like to it auto delete the mail I report.
If it gave them gear to help them advance how would that ‘penalize’ them?
Gear according to level, which is generally blue in rarity, isn’t end game gear.
Doing it at 80 should get you level 80 blues not level 40 blues.
I’m wearing all rare and some exotic, I see no problem with raising the rewards especially the silver for completing based on your level.
Better to give gear someone can mystic forge or use than to waste their time with gear they don’t need.
Queketh obviously hasn’t done the difficult parts or is trolling.
Greatly appreciate your presence and communication on these dungeons and changes.
Thank you.
I’m finding some bosses a bit harder than manageable with a well coordinated team.
What do I need to do to help you and our community to make changes that would keep the bosses manageable but not insanely hard?
Some of this isn’t simply “didn’t dodge” right, some of this is pretty insane.
I’d like a sticky thread where the community can post up specifically what bosses they’re having trouble with and why so we don’t have a massive jumble of threads that you guys may or may not see.
Can we get a community sticky please?
Also can we lower the DR?

I don’t feel promises on re-playability are being kept.
Please consider this, please.
Me, 80 Guardian with a mixed group cannot kill Alpha Creation in CoE kept resetting and dieing zerging with no armor on.
AC path Ghost Eaters, spinning boss with the pull, wiped us over and over and over.
Some of these are just ridiculously hard.
Please reevaluate the difficulty of these guys.
NEW ITEM: Back item for X dungeon tokens that has teleport to waypoint

I’d love a hearthstone like item for dungeons
When I’m fighting
F Rezzing NPC instead of Rezzing Party Member in same space
F opening coffin in AC instead of Rezzing Party member or looting back
F Interactions are frustrating.
Anyone at Anet have any thoughts on this addition?
My problem is when I hit F I rez an NPC, Loot a Bag, Rez a party member, or open a coffin full of nasties.
This is way more of a problem in a heated battle
I am not sure how this will be received, but I got to level 80 before doing most of my personal Story.
Now when I do them I get assigned level 40-50-60 gear as a reward.
I was wondering whether or not it would be fair to have these items scale up to the level you complete the quest at?
Please consider this, thank you.
Collectable slot for dungeon tokens as well please
Yes, them and mystic coins please

I just wasted a mastermining pick getting ruined ore from platinum but gold ore is works
In sPvP I’m pigeon holed into holding a point while the rest of the team runs about.
In WvWvW I’m supply running support, I don’t get kills easily but I do get enough for the monthly after a lot of time spent there repairing. If I catch someone I kill them but otherwise I’m not great in ranged deparment.
Even with shield 90+ toughness and specced for vitality I feel underwhelming against conditions. If I take condition removing utilities I’m left without boons to give allies, if I spec deep into virtues and I clear 3 off me with my virtue but I lose a good amount of points for things like “healing when applying boons to others” and other nifty things.
If I spec dps I have way small a health pool to manage even with mitigation and heals.
If I spec the other way I have small dps.
I’ve ran Greatsword, Hammer, Mace/Shield boon spam, Sword/Focus, Scepter Focus, and everything in between, I’ve respecced probably 20 times (20×3 silver ouchie) and still don’t feel like my other classes in damage (I have 9 character slots and 8 used for each profession).
The healing for myself is there, the healing for my party is not as strong but its there especially on symbols but if people are ranged, they aren’t going to get in my symbols.
Its late I’ve been up a long time, rough day and such, but I was feeling Guardian frustration and needed to rant. Sorry.
Anyone else feel it?
Anyone got advice and builds for me to try?
Just thought it was be nice if I click deposit and my mystic coin would go into a slot there too.
Please, and thank you

Long title, but the green mining picks don’t give you much of a clue as to what they can mine and I’ve ruined some ore trying to figure out what I can cannot mine with them.
Please, and thank you
Guardians aren’t ranged at all.
So they have to play it that way.
Or get a fix.
Its only like 8 shards it takes 100 runs to get anything, so its not a big deal
Not sure what the issue is and would like to be enlightened but it appears Anet doesn’t want us to be able to queue up for all the WvWvW and get into the one that opens up first.
I would very much like to finish my monthly, I need to kill 7 more WvWvW guys and they’re all full.
However I do not know which one is going to be available next so if I’m que’d for an hour or so for one while another is suddenly open, I wont know.
So I ask, please, allow us to queue for them all and/or give us a better way of knowing which one is available while waiting.
The sad thing is you only get 8 tokens doing this meaning 100 runs to get 800…
Do you get the picture? Speed Run ARAH groups are NOT hurting anyone but themselves.
They have to log out, log back in and change who starts the instance to reset it.
Jon could we also get the costs of items down a couple 100 tokens please?
Pretty ridiculous
They should spawn 1 time maybe 2 but not during boss fights.
Guild Wars 2 Dungeons: Only For The Most Experienced Players. Testing Your Skills By Watching Mobs HP Bars Slowly Deplete For 5 Minutes Without Falling Asleep.
More like 10 minutes.
I ate a Cotton Candy, and watch it disappear and ate another one and when the first of 2 mini boss ecounters went down it was half worn off.
So 15 minutes per fight is hell on my wrist.
In HoTW explore the Ice Svnir guys are over 10 minutes of wailing on a massive health bar. I know it was over ten minutes because my 10 food buff ran out.
Worse is there are two of them.
Then the boss with the pet dogs, wiped the group over and over.
“The Story Mode is designed to be easier than the Explorable Mode. Explorable is also, as it’s name implies… very replayable. One of the things we ran into doing missions, which is very much like this in Guild Wars 1, is that we found that doing a mission multiple times, a lot of story oriented stuff started getting in the way of you having fun. You started, ‘Ok, I’ve seen this cutscene before, skip it.’ Pretty soon this culture of skip the cutscene kinda grew up around Guild Wars 1, and so what we wanted to do was to provide people in that first story mode a linear, lots of cutscenes, lots of story going on, lots of exposition, that experience.
“…for the explorable mode it can be a lot more free-form, where you can just jump in and you’re dealing with something that doesn’t need as much explanation, doesn’t have a lot of exposition, doesn’t have a lot of cutscenes, and it has a lot of replayability built into it because there are different ways to complete it, or different paths to take. We tried to really vary each of them quite a bit so we actually don’t fall into a pattern where it’s like ‘Well, Explorable is like there’s three different paths you can take.’ That is true sometimes, but sometimes there’s three different ways, or sometimes it’s multiple ways, not even three, maybe four ways. Sometimes it branches in the middle, sometimes it branches right at the beginning.”
Although Explorable Mode is designed to be replayable and Story Mode is a more linear experience, both can be replayed as many times as you like. “They are not directly contingent upon each other, so whatever you’ve done in your personal story will not change what happens in the dungeons, or vice versa. But you will get to meet, depending on the branches you pick along your personal story, you may end up meeting some of the same characters, and experience different parts of the same storyline” says Flannum.

What changed from then to now?
Before the patch it was a grind to get a full exotic set.
After the patch it is a grind to get a full exotic set at the cost of many more repairs and less rewards per run.
It used to profitable but now most of the PUGs and even guild groups lose money and interest in dungeons.
As someone who has 150 tokens for various dungeons I’m rather disappointed with the changes since most of the people I was running with wont run them any more because they find them to hard or have their rewards already.
I find it odd that people seem to be saying they can’t find groups to do explorable dungeons with. I see about 10 to 15 people nightly spamming map chat looking for more for explorables. This is on Darkhaven.
Not to mention you can join a PvE guild that does them?
I’m on Crystal Desert and everyday you used to be able to find tons of shouters in LA for dungeons, now there is one or two maybe that I notice when I’m crafting.
Come over and see for yourself.
AC is hard and always was.
CM was made much harder.
They added veterans and captains to every encounter which only leads to loss of time and repair bills.
I have ran my friends through them and they have no intention of going back to dungeons any time soon >_<
80 Guardian here.
Mace + Shield + 90 extra toughness + Healing when spreading boons = Tank.
My symbol heals me, my shouts heal me, my heal heals me, my virtues heal me or block damage.
Truly I am the tank of the group and I give up nothing in damage because I apply boons to enhance everyone around me and the damage I do is still excellent.
I’ve ran the same build in sPvP and I kill more than I die.
I don’t know what a tank warrior runs but damage mitigation goes a long way in boss encounters during explore modes.
AC was too hard to bother with so now is CM. There just isn’t enough reason for me to break all my armor death zerging large groups of veterans and a captain.
I find travel to be a very bad money sink.
Agreed, I’ve got a boat load of idols and need space.
Very much agree with the pricing being way higher than it should for casual gamers
I’ve seen games where you could force someone to enter a captcha to prove they’re not botting.
16 badges but 97 kills.
Makes me feel a little cheated.
I believe this should be changed because each type of risen is a different challenge.
I’d go for this
As someone who has 150 tokens for various dungeons I’m rather disappointed with the changes since most of the people I was running with wont run them any more because they find them to hard or have their rewards already.
Only thing i see on the hero panel is 3/4 CM 1/4 AC 2/4 SE
I’m 3/4 and 2/4 and 1/4 on multiple dungeons and I know not which of the paths are left to be done, or I’m stupid and haven’t seen something I should have.
Please enlighten me or make this a feature!
It’s not hard to infer the engine’s capabilities from other mechanics.
You can switch out the first five abilities (Attunements, Death Shroud)
You can base abilities off weapons (Burst)
You can base abilities off the target of a skill (Steal)
You can base abilities off of active pets (Pet Abilities)
You can base abilities off of other equipped abilities (Tool Kit)What’s difficult is thinking of a mechanic that fits the profession, adds depth, is original, and isn’t too cumbersome, all while being cool.
He said come up with something not based on those abilities.
