People are saying that on the large tree in the last part right before the Toad there should be 5 baubles on top of the tree, but instead there are only 4, therefore you’re unable to complete the full bauble clear. Though if you do it in normal there is no bug and there are 5 baubles where there are supposed to be…
ANET can anyone confirm/deny this bug and if it will be or is fixed?

Ran W1Z3 before the patch, got all the coins but due to the bug (missing bauble) got screwed and didn’t get the achievement. Last one I need for completion too. I’m not going to lie it was incredibly frustrating as I hated that zone the first time SAB came out and having to spend an hour going around wasn’t fun by any means. I’ll do it again, if I have to, but I want to make sure Infantile mode has been fixed for getting the Master of Baubles before I run it as there will be no 3rd time if I run and the glitch jips me again. LoL Thanks in advance all.
Ya I tried scepter, I know some people swear by it, but I just COULDN’T bring myself to using it. Wish we could use daggers likes Ele’s. LoL

So on top of screwing those that had partially completed monthly they removed laurels as a reward without saying a word? Just as bad as them changing karma which they did last month.
Are you kidding me ANet? You refer me to a DEAD topic you’ve basically said “F-U” to all players. I played the stupid living story even with it’s terrible lag and culling issues just so I could get champion and group completion done and then you rip those and masterwork crafting away? How convenient the 3 monthlies choices that everyone easily completed early you “mistakenly” remove and then don’t both to put back at least so we have more options for our monthly, instead they’re completely removed. Time and money wasted. Then other players get double rewards? Sure maybe not laurels, but multiple people in my guild have said they’ve gotten rewards from the first monthly completion yesterday and completing it AGAIN after your “blunder.” How is this by ANY means right? And simply saying we can’t fix it, that’s satisfactory to the community/customers? Also where are my karma refunds I was promised after the patch? I was told after burning through my karmas a week ago that I’d be sent them all/or as close to the # as possible. After your karma nerf I want those back to use.
I did zone 1 in infantile and then moved on immediately to zone 2 which I reset after failing to receive the achievement the first time around…
@RyanCid did you do it in infantile mode or normal? Some people are saying there is a bug in infantile vs normal for completing this.
I was at 3/4 for my monthlies waiting for new patch so I could get space in my inventory then craft masterwork items to move weaponsmithing up. Low and behold 3 categories from Monthly was removed?! Champion Slayer, Group Event Completer, and Masterwork Crafter? Why? I’ve also seen guildmates talking about getting double rewards (not laurels, but everything else PLUS the new magic essences) for now completing monthlies twice…What’s the deal with this? How is this even remotely fair?
Are you telling me I am now going to have to start over with my monthly progress with LESS monthly options to choose from? Yes, it’s the beginning of the month, however, I had 3/4 completed and that’s time and money wasted completing those I wouldn’t have done. I hated the lag and culling of the last living story but did it so I could get champion and event completer.
I’ve done Zone 2 World 1 twice following two different guides, dulfy and another one, both times in infantile mode yet no achievement was given either time after breaking the cage at the boss. I know I haven’t missed any baubles.
I was able to get W1 Z1 in Infantile, do I have to play normal in order to get these achievements from here out? I’m tired of wasting my time and certainly don’t want to waste it in Z3 or W2! Can someone please confirm? Thanks in advance.
They NEED to fix the core. What happened to fixing dungeons so they aren’t broken or rewards from dungeons? World Bosses? Does anyone really want or care about farming a world boss when you can go to an event that spawns 3 champs and get better stuff from a champ drop vs a super chest?! How does that even make sense? And then there is adding more end game content like new level 80 zones or another level 80 dungeon? So much time was wasted with these stupid monthly events that only gave people aesthetic skins for this piece of armor or this weapon. We’ve had fractals for how many months and yet no new zones have been added to it? Get your priorities straight! Gear grinding with no new zones to grind in for the gear…at least WoW gave a whole expansion to play through when they decided to add a new tier to armors/weapons.
Itemspiral and grinding. Two things we were promised were very different with GW2 compared to other MMOs. Not looking good on keeping those promises atm.
If T6 mats are going to be used to upgrade to T7, to be used to craft from level 400-500, to create unique exotics, to craft gifts for legendary items, to craft ascended backpacks, to craft ascended gear once you get crafting up to 400-500 there needs to be more ways to get them.
Using laurels for mats has been nerfed. 3 for 1 day and it’s randomized isn’t worth it, especially if laurels are going to be needed for buying other recipes, crafting.
The MF clover recipe doesn’t guarantee you’ll get 1 or 10 T6 mats let alone the T6 mats you need. It’s too randomized. You could get unlucky and never get the mats you technically need.
Zone clearing for mats is crap because only 3 zones are level 80 and only 2 of them have explorer achievements (Southsun doesn’t have map clear achievement). Frostgorge, Malchors, and Straits are level 76-80 meaning you get T5 not T6 mats. Not to mention all of this can only be done once per character.
There is no karma way of getting T6 mats (Orrian jewelry gives lodstones not regular T6 mats like claws, fangs, etc). The only way is basically to farm gold and buy on the TP and with prices skyrocketing because of the upcoming patch this is only going to get worse making T6 mats the new legendary/precursor money sink.
With MF going account bound farming specific creatures is going to be worse than it already was until you can up your account MF to a high enough level.
Bags are just as random as MF and less likely to actually drop T6 mats.
Also, I know this point has already been brought up, but what’s the point of doing world events when every chest you open is likely greens and blues (yes the new patch will make greens and blues somewhat worth wild) BUT if gobs are only a random chance with rares more rares need to drop. Spending 45 minutes fighting jormag only to be guaranteed 1 rare because you get a crap chest roll (which MF doesn’t help with) is not by any means an incentive. Champs give better drops now than world bosses. That is not right.
I suggest that level 80+ creatures no longer have any chance of dropping T5 mats. If level 70-79 already drop level T5 then let their be a tier of monsters that can only drop T6 mats. Also maybe there should be a small % that gobs can drop from salvaging rares and masterwork items if they are level 80 as well.
There has to be something implemented and soon if not when the patch hits otherwise it’s going to turn into pay to play where anyone who buys gems to transmute to gold or buys farmers gold is going to have the best gear and best stuff unless you have no life and farm regularly every single day for mats. Farming/Grinding is exactly what ANET promised GW2 wouldn’t be and yet this patch and the new items look like nothing but a grind, just like Legendary items already are.
Thanks Deimos Tel Arin! I completely missed this quote. Does seem like a LOT of grinding and a lot of making sure you sign in every single day in order to farm nodes that only spawn once every 24 hours and are account spawns not character.
This also means that somehow some way T6 are going to have to be easier to get otherwise the T6 mats are going to be ridiculous on the TP and you’re going to have to make some tough choices on what you want to use T6 mats for since almost anything good requires a crap load. Ugh.
So has it has been said that a whole new tier of crafting mats will be introduced with crafting moving up to 500, and some of them will be things you can only harvest once a day, however, I have a couple of questions about this…
What about the rest and what about T6 mats? T6 are required for a crap load of things already and are not easy to come. You can grind but with MF out the window the chances for these mats to drop off a specific creature have been pretty much killed off. You can gamble hoping the mat you need will drop from bags, mf, etc. Or you can buy them for outrageous prices on the TP, which is going bananas right now.
So, if getting from 400-500 is going to require you use your T6 mats and then the T7 mats will be used to finally craft things like Legendary Precursors and Ascended gear will we see an increase in T6 mats drop rate? Also as said above, so much is required to craft T6, for example two gifts for a legendary not to mention all the Unique Exotics, so how is this not going to cause a complete meltdown in the TP like we currently see with Legendary items and precursors unless something is changes in regards to how reglarly T6 mats drop (either lowering the level they drop or increasing the odds)? Could we possibly finally see T6 mats regularly dropping from creatures level 76-80 instead of it almost 98% of the time being T5? Will it shift from T5 and sometimes T6 to now T6 and sometimes T7?
Also, if T5-T6 mats current drop from creatures level 76-80 where are these T7 mats going to drop from? No new zones are being added. No new creatures, dungeons, fractals, etc…I can’t imagine you’d throw another tier of mats in with the current specific creatures that are the few 81+ in the game. You already see if this is the case it will be the same problem we have now with Earth Eles, Drakes, Ice Colossus, etc trying desperately to farm. Where do you guys think T7 are going to come from?
Storyline or quests. Don’t make me just hunt thousands of Glacer Golems and hope a lodestone will drop. Give me a quest that will be incredibly challenging and give me at least half of what I’m going to have to grind for. A little grinding is inevitable, but the amount needed for certain items that only drop from 1 or 2 enemies is silly. There are so many things that could be tied into dungeons, personal story, and even whatever is going on monthly!
While things are happening in the Shiverpeaks, I have yet to see anything “frost” based. All enemies use fire. Fire tornadoes, fire shields, fire weapons. The reward gauntlets while a very cool idea to give a unique armor piece as a reward this is also fire?!
With CoF and Destroyer already having the lava/fire look it would’ve been awesome to see either frost like we see on most of Jormag’s minions or maybe black smoke wafting from the weapon/gauntlets vs a traditional fire again.
Can we expect with our personal Nemesis and the story of F&F not completely finished (we still don’t know exactly why or to what purpose the Dredge and Flame Legion teamed up) to see something more along these lines opened up?
Does anyone know if you can upgrade a utility infusion (Example: Gf, MF, Karma, etc) to also have the +5 agony resistance? I know this would be quite OP. I’m guess you need to choose a utility (Gf, MF, etc) or Omni (Agony Resist from factual vendor, or rare versions which has Agony + stat) to put into your utility amulet correct?
Unplayable lag at world bosses. To the point where I am there the whole time supposed hitting the boss but do not received credit. Also random spikes where I’ll simply stop moving or friends will see me running into the distance as if on auto run. Have died many times due to lag spikes like this. Also getting D/ced constantly in all sorts of random places from empty zones, dungeons, and WvWvW every 5-10 minutes since patch.
Since the large patch last week I have been getting a constant issue with disconnects ranging from about every 5-10 minutes. I am sometimes in a populated area, but other times I’m completely soloing alone. This has happened in major towns, dungeons, and WvWvW. I’m always booted back to the character screen and must reload. Yesterday within a 2 hour span I was d/ced over 10 times. This is becoming ridiculous and I’m dying or getting kicked from dungeons, etc constantly!
On another side EVERY world boss, even on the LOWEST graphic setting, which I’ve never had to use before lags to the point I cannot even move. The lag is so bad that even while it shows me hitting the world boss I sometimes still don’t get credit and I’ve fought through the whole battle. Last night this happened to me with fighting Jormag all the way through part 2 and Sunless from spawn to death. What is up with this sudden ridiculous lag which makes almost every boss almost unplayable?!
Yup about every 5 minutes or so I get D/C back to character screen. Doesn’t matter if I’m in a packed area or completely alone. This has happened on and off ever since the last large patch last week.
I have a human warrior with full Pirate set and he shouts Yarr. For a long time I could never hear it and just recently I’ve started to notice him shouting it often.
Also do you guys know if our SoS server page doesn’t work with Chrome? I’m have all sorts of issues with the forum page(s) not loading, etc.

Thank you! I thought that is how I read it, but I wanted confirmation. Is there anywhere I can check my FotM level and I’m assuming this is set per character not account right?
I have personally run level 1-4 on my character. But I have also skipped around in level difficulty in FotM like 6 and 9 before with other party leaders. I’m confused on how the progression works.
Do I need to completely each individual level of FotM 1-9 with my character before moving to 10 in order to receive the daily bonus chest on level 10? And the same would then go for level 20? I’d need to reach 1-19 in order to receive the chest at T2 (Level 20)?

The band wagon transfer which is allowed JQ to have max in every map almost all period of the day is completely ridiculous. Skill can only go so far to counter sheer #s and hopefully ANet will see very quickly how silly WvWvW has become before like everyone here can agree WvWvW will die completely.
Those of you who have seen the video I’m talking about know the extreme lengths some people have gone to get their 500 badges. Creating a new character, over, and over, and over to get those 5 badges from the chest.
Let’s face it getting badges is completely broken. They don’t drop enough, and the loot system sucks. In a large engagement I’m constantly moving. That means the bag that drops at my feet is no longer at my feet two seconds later. That also means in a tug of war battle I may no longer be able to get to that bag. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen multiple bags on the ground as I lie dead on the battlefield. Once I rez, they’re gone.
I make the suggestions that :
1) Badges should be like laurels/karma/gold. Automatically placed in your bag ready and waiting to be used. Don’t take up another slot in my inventory. Don’t make me pick them up or hunt these tiny bags down on a battlefield.
2) Badges should drop with each kill or every other kill or if you did a % of damage to the person who dies. Something along those lines so you regularly get badges. Badges should only be random if you kill PvE guards, etc. Capping a keep, camp, etc should award badges for any participants just like an event would award karma.
3) Finishers should have a cap on the # just like rezzers. Anyone in the midst of this animation should be given credit and given a badge. Finishers don’t happen that often in WvW with zergs running about or major incursions. Most downed players simply get killed from damage vs finishers in battle.
4) With badges dropping more, new tiers of things to buy badges with. Like I mentioned in another post, perhaps new neutral npc camps that you can buy to help. Like golems but npc champions to help turn the tide of battle. Buying raids on camps behind enemy lines. There is so much that could be done to add new dynamics to WvW in regards to NPCs!
I hope at least some of these changes or changes like this are implemented soon as WvW feels completely unpolished at this moment in time.
I wish my thread wasn’t merged with this thread, as it has gotten completely lost in the mix of the “flag on” “flag off” idea which imo is just impossible to have it work properly without too many exploits or issues. It would bring about a whole new issue within WvW that would require fixing. Too much about WvW already requires fixing.
WvW is meant to be a grand scale of server vs server vs server. Meaning large scale pvp battles. Correct? If this is the case why are there jumping puzzles? Why are there vistas and poi, and skill points? All this does is take away from WvW. It makes the queues longer because many people are in WvW that don’t want to be WvW. People who don’t want to SPvP don’t do it. People who don’t want to fight in a large scale WvW shouldn’t be forced to either to accomplish something in PvE. I see so many people running around simply doing mundane things because they’re forced to in WvW to be there to complete something for PvE. I am one of those atm constantly queuing up for EB hoping the one keep has been captured so I can finally get my last 2 vistas and 1 poi.
WvW should be its own entity like SPvP. Map completion and badges shouldn’t have any play in WvW or visa versa in PvE. Badges should be for use in WvW, maybe unique skins, siege weapons, upgrades, buffs, boosters, potions, etc. All things ONLY used in WvW to help WvW. If there is ANY PvE in WvW it should be taking out guards. When WvW was originally described it talked about dynamic events within WvW where rogue/neutral enemies would attack keeps or camps and you’d be force to defend then retaliate. Why aren’t there more neutral parties that are actually difficult. That you can win over by buying their loyalty or force into submission to help attack other servers. This would truly add another dynamic and really change the tide of battle in key spots.
As it is queues and participation don’t accurately match the truth of WvW because so many are forced to try and get into so they can get achievements and craft legendary items.

As a wonderful video I watched said these aren’t tokens of battle they are tokens of jumping. Has everyone tried collecting 500 by just running WvW. It sucks. You miss 50% of the bags that drop and most bags you do get never have tokens. It’s a completely broken system.
If anything make tokens just for WvW stuff. Siege, armor, upgrades. Keep the PvE stuff out of WvW. This will eliminate so many people in WvW that don’t WANT to be there for the PvP part of it. The ones who are there for jumping puzzles or gathering POI, Skill Points, etc for Map Completion. Stop trying to make WvW such a generalized area trying to appease everyone. Keep it what it’s supposed to be. Large scale PvP battles. The jump puzzles and needing WvW maps for map completion simply take up space and add to the queue times for true WvW players.
I cannot imagine that a part of 100% Map Completion would be forcing a player to server change. Even before it was a mandatory 7 day cool down or now gems only transfer it still baffles me as to why you’d basically force someone to transfer servers in order to get this achievement.
My server doesn’t change rank often and when we do it’s between two positions. Never the 3rd. The other servers we fight against are fairly balanced (this is a GOOD things) BUT this means we never obtain full map control. In most cases no one server is ever completely eliminated from the map. The starting keeps of each server are always held. This means that the 1 corner in the Eternal Battlegrounds (the main keep) is impossible to get without a server transfer. I have been stuck with 2 Vistas and 1 POI for the last three months. This means it is impossible for not only 100% map completion but crafting a Legendary. I have so many pieces ready to begin my Legendary but I’m stuck at a stand still until 100% map completion.
I find this not only incredibly frustrating but also counter-productive. You want balance in WvW, you want stability, you want people to stay put and fight for their server and not just jump ship, yet you make an achievement impossible to obtain unless you transfer. I know there are many who have completed this achievement, but ask how many have truly completed it while staying on 1 server and not moving.
My suggestion is simple. If you’re going to keep WvW as part of the Map Completion then have a rotation in the starting position. Don’t make it based on rank. This way at least anyone at any given time would only need to wait 1 week before starting in a new position that would allow them to grab new POIs, Vistas, and Skill Points.
Great so I’m pretty much screwed unless my server goes crazy and caps all of EB or messes up and drops in ranking. Ugh…what a pain.
Thank you guys! I was under the impression we always started in the same area. I’ve simply been unlucky it seems when I can get into Eternal Battlegrounds we are in the same spot every time. LoL. I’ll check back in a few tomorrow after reset and hope.
I think all and all this should be removed from map completion simply because how many people like myself are taking a spot in WvW to run around for POI’s, Vistas, or Jumping Puzzles meanwhile someone else is actually wanting to play WvW but stuck in a queue or forced to go to a different battleground.
Having to swap servers, especially with the upcoming gem(s) to transfer, in order to get 100% map completion in the WvW maps is just absurd. I love my sever. I love how active it is. I have RL friends and 3 guilds I regularly hang with and run things with.
I’m stuck on 99% because of a few POI’s in the Eternal Battlegrounds which are so deep into the enemy’s territory (keeps/towers) my server will never be able to cap them. It’s always a very well balanced match were no one server every gets completely eliminated. This isn’t right that a player who doesn’t want to pay or swap around cannot complete this achievement ESPECIALLY which is necessary in order to make legendary items!!!
