I find there’s a number of different kinds of groups even on the LFG:
- New-to-path or new-to dungeon groups (“all welcome” etcetera)
- Casual runs, or no-skip/no-stack/RPG
- “Exp” groups (yes, exp means experienced!)
- Gear/AP/level requiring groups (Exp zerk 4k+ 80)
- Meta and/or speed groups
The requirement for each group is gradually more stringent, so I doubt anyone would be kicked out of the first kind unless they’re being obnoxious. Same pretty much goes for second and most of the 3rd. When you get in to zerk and similar people start actually having demands and if you’re not reasonably up to par you can get kicked there, depending on the mood of the group – I’ve seen very forgiving zerker groups but also ones where you get kicked for somewhat minor “offenses”. For meta/speed ones I have no idea, but I assume they would be pretty unforgiving of mistakes.
When I join a group on the LFG I make sure to only join the kinds that match my level of expertise and style of play. If I don’t find one that matches, I just make my own post and fill a team pretty darn fast. I don’t think I’ve been kicked more than once from a group since starting to run dungeons.
TL/DR: If there’s no group on the LFG that match your level of expertise, make your own.

Halloween events in GW1 were hotly anticipated and generated hours upon hours of fun for a month. This two week deal is a sad comparison.
How memory decieves us all, I just checked on GW1 wiki, and the longest any halloween event ran so far was from Oct18 to Nov 2, so just about 2 weeks. Most were even shorter.
Edit: quoted wrong post.

Ah, all’s well then

So…
While this should indeed hamper the gold sellers’ abilities to exploit the free trial, there’s a possible downside to it as well – a new person who has no connections to anyone in the game, maybe saw a trailer and thought it looked cool, it seems like it will be a lonely experience for them, no chance to make friends in chat, and thus not able to ask for help or anything.
I do hope that’s been considered as well, so that the free trial becomes a nice experience for the prospective future GW2 player, and not just a lonely lonely weekend.
Or am I missing something?

Gifts are given as each character has an anniversary, not the account.

Nope, still confused.
Just to check I joined a pug, and it’s the same as always for me – just run across, through the fire fields and on to acolytes. No damage of any kind, massive or otherwise.

Now I’m confused. I’m a regular pug, I usually run my thief in CoF, who wears whatever exo armor I happened to find, and it took me a while to even recall that there’s a bridge there. I assume it’s after slave driver, the bridge everyone just runs past? I’ve never even dodged there – I just run past it.

So, here’s an idea for mounts:
1) Make mounts craftable, 500 required. That way they become prestige in their own right.
2) As soon as you own a mount, all WP are permanently disabled for your account.
3) If you die, you respawn in your racial starting town, no exception. Your mount, however, remains where it was when you last saw it. You now have to walk back to where that was..
4) The mount is susceptible to damage and death. If it dies, you have to craft a new one.
This way, those who want mounts can get them, and they still won’t be all that frequent so they won’t be too annoying for those who don’t want mounts.

As a member of the EU Community and of EVE, I fully support this.

It really doesn’t make sense to only spawn one world event at a time. There can’t be any harm in letting multiple events start simultaneously. There’s only a couple of World events that share a map, and if Fire Elemental is up in Metrica, that really can’t have an impact on Tequatl or Volcano.
So, the obvious solution would be to let the low level events run as they do today, but let the higher ones spawn on same interval as low ones (or thereabout), and the “elite” ones run every 2-3 hours, like before.
I don’t really see any drawback to that.

Well, basically support won’t help you I think. You reported the guy so he will hopefully get punished. You, unfortunately, won’t get any money back. That’s the risk you took when not using the trade post.
I’m sorry, but that’s how it works. It’s harsh, but you chose to send someone money, and that’s your loss.

Ok AP, that makes sense. Do you know if there’s any way I can log in and see the contents of the ticket? In case I have to submit a new ticket it’d help immensly to be able to copy the text from there.

Hello.
Yesterday I submitted a support ticket, but since I haven’t even received the initial automatic reply, I fear that I may have entered an incorrect email address. And yes, I have checked spam and trash folders.
Might some rep from Anet be able to check up the ticket to make sure it’s not being missed? Email address for the ticket should be the same as the game account so shouldn’t be too hard to verify.
Ticket number is 415224.
Thanks

I’m guessing here, but could the facct that ‘sion’ is a part of it be the root cause?
