Daredevil: Passive evades need time cut down. When a condi d/d DD comes at you mashing 3, dodging repeatedly, and pops his signet to just dodge more, then dodges even more with signet, it’s absolutely stupid. There is no way to fight that.
Or: Vault spam and bound spam on point. Easy.
dragon hunter is not too difficult to play around, they are predictable. But when there are 2 or more on the same team it is hard to keep track of all the kitten going around and even more so with all the particle effects flying around.
The main issue i have against their traps is that they are not fun to play against, they do not feel like traps but bombs that they drop under them, and you. The fact that the game has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much cc and skill spamming in general makes this even worse, it is not exclusive to dragon hunters but makes their un-fun trap spamming unbearable in team fights.
i quit playing pvp this season as it is simply not fun anymore, every build i encountered felt like it was on auto pilot and their game plan was spam kitten when it is off cd with little to no thought (this is especially noticeable vs berzerkers).
berserkers LOVE doing that
there’s no timing, no thought, just mash buttons, everything you do applies an inordinate amount of conditions anyway
ITT: Guardians defending their broken class.
Drop more traps and stupid, broken radial CC on a point. If that doesn’t work for you, just spam blinds and channel your invulns! And heal!
It’s broken. Far too powerful. Sorry.
Changes are not made during seasons. We will have to wait the end of this season to see more features added to guardian. So far everything is speculation.
christ really
i have to deal with these guardians all season?
why is anet so lazy
DH is probably the example of what every class should have. Multiple viable builds, from bruiser to dps to bunker.
A remotely competent DH is not killable whatsoever.
If you lose to guardians, you’re just getting outplayed, really. The class is 100% balanced. That’s why solo queuers are only queuing with guardian.
I know you tried to be sarcastic, but turth is class is not 100% balanced it still need some boosts to be competitive at esl levels.
And yes I prefer having dhs in team over newbie players that can’t do a kitten.
btw guardians don’t have reflects at least not using reflect wall.
Not everyone is mlg420doritos.
The class is insanely broken and people regard playing it as an easy win when numbers are stacked.
I don’t know, I got my longbow shots reflected by a big bubble. Might have been something else. All I know is, it needs a nerf.
It’s very clear PvP was intended to be “spam traps on this one point and spam mindless CC”, and if anything goes wrong, just channel one of your fifty invulns/blocks/reflects! Or just heal to full with your stupid AoE heal. Or just spam blinds. Make sure you teleport to everyone and attack for 3k an auto while they try to defend themselves from the floor itself.

Working as intended, right?
lol balance is a dead joke

haha dude you just need to get good
just because you can’t fight 12 traps, blinds, symbols on a single point on top of 30 seconds of channeled block and invulnerability and what is easily the most obnoxious and broken CC aoes all the while autoing for 3-4k doesn’t mean they’re BROKEN or anything, you’re just getting OUTPLAYED.

Please, thank god someone said it.
With HoT, conditions are applied so much and so frequently there is no counter. It’s simply too much, compared to the “viable counters/removals.”
Conditions have no business behaving how they behave, and have destroyed and semblance of a meta and have made power builds entirely a joke.
Conditions are doing 3x the damage they have any business doing.
Those carried by condition builds will contest this thread heavily, but if you want a kill in sPvP, earn it. I shouldn’t have to be fighting my own movement and skill bar.

every class is viable in fractals as long as you know what you’re doing
Much easier to press 3 buttons than 20 and actually have to react.
Thanks condi meta.
no mister dragonhunter
you are the cheese builds
They’re worthless in fractals to even pay attention to.
Umm, no. The new Chaos fractal is a good example, if everyone just tosses a quick CC he’s cake, if they don’t then you have to run a mile to get out of the AoE, seems quite useful to me.
I mean.
Sure. It’s still a case of “why even bother” when you can stability/dodge it. It has a massive telegraph.
All melee and power classes demand 100% in range damage. If for 4/5s of the fight you’re not even on the boss (a la Chaos Fractal) then your effective DPS is cut into 1/5 of what it should be. Why? Because conditions in general are simply broken in PvP and outside of it. Anet rewards people for lazy play rather than using power/the class’s skills.

Thieves are trash everywhere.
All they bring is damage. They’re a very selfish class with utilities. They’re amazing roaming in WvW if you want to be a disease though.
The recent changes to their venomshare was made to make them more useful to a team? Think of it this way: right now, thief brings very good cc utility in raids(750 CC units). Not to mention they’re useful for stealth in the first place, as well as constant blind fields in mob-heavy encounters.
The game has a lot of complex things you can do to support and counter things, but ultimately, conditions are so broken you can just spread them in an AoE and watch everything slowly die without caring at all.
Stealth is useless and mostly applies to themselves. Were it useful, engineers outclass them.
CC? Why waste the utility of another class with some CC and damage? All classes have CC, you hardly even need CC if every class present drops their CC. Breakbars are only an issue if people aren’t doing their jobs. They’re worthless in fractals to even pay attention to.

git
gud
If they want to keep this fractal the way it is.. they need to up the rewards… cause I simply don’t want to work triple overtime just for the same junk I was already making when he was a push over.
“same junk”
ascended mats and 7g from matrices?
Pull him into the wells to make him vulnerable.
30 poison stacks on that fight is nothing, git gud.
Use ranged attacks and conditions.
these are wrong and rather manipulative
Another thing – their aggro is bugged. Targetting random people, pets, etc. That’s fine for Matt but not for Xera.
The half baked update to “fix” the wurm abuse in the middle of Xera’s platform and the recent LS3 patch broke these two fights.
Currently, avengers, minions, pets and spirits block Matthias’ projectile within the dome. This makes the fight nearly unable to be completed due to the extremely important role they play within all raid encounters. This cuts some team’s effective DPS in half and makes the boss unbeatable.
As for Xera, minions, pets, etc. trigger her red orbs, which then drop gravity well AoEs and madness on the team. I’d phase Xera with maybe 7 stacks of madness on me, but last night, a lot were going in with 50-80 stacks on her because of this bug.
tl;dr friendly adds bug stuff and it’s ridiculous, this has gone on for a week+ now, how has this not be fixed lol
Why is Matthias the hardest on any of your lists? He’s easier than Trio. He’s literally “Autoattack: The Boss”. Beyond reflection and doing wells, there is no mechanic to his fight. Don’t get hit.
Sure as long as they aren’t buggy abominations like Xera.
I have other areas where I am more unlucky with RNG such as precursors (2 drops in 11k+ hours) and tequatl hoards (2 in minimum 500 kills, I stopped counting). While this is unfortunate, it makes looting more interesting because you never know when you get lucky again.
I think it is out of place to complain about te RNG for Bloodstone-Infused-Ectoplasm after merley 3 weeks. If you still do not have it after 3 months of trying all 4 chests you might get my sympathy.
These two can not be compared. They are fundamentally different goals and concepts.
This is still easy for you to say, with a very lucky RNG. A lot of us want to move to the next piece of content, not be blocked by a completely pointless wall we might never pass, despite clearing raids for dozens, even hundreds of hours.
I think the droprate is fine. Got it on 2 accounts on first chest.
I have opened all chests for 3 weeks with no luck and the same has happened to a friend, so not all people is as lucky as you.
Law of large numbers dictates that there will be outliers in both directions, but the majority of players will get it quick enough
Yeah, and to lock it behind such an arbitrary measure is just straight up rude, as I’ve already said. There’s no reason. It is, through and through, pointless. It’s not a challenge. It’s just an obstruction.
I think the droprate is fine. Got it on 2 accounts on first chest.
That really means nothing. A random guy could go back to back to back on perfect ecto gamble rolls or mystic toilet rolls. The point integral to my argument is that it’s rng-based and massively time-gated with a poor, poor chance. So poor that there is a real chance many who raid fairly regularly won’t ever see the item.
This thing is concealed behind a very strange rng-wall. Which, on its own, would be ok. But it’s timegated, and miniscule. A lot of people I know have gotten it, but not all have. The rate it drops at and the fact that we can’t at least redo the castle to have more attempts at it or something like it dropping from Xera’s chest just make it a nightmare.
To be honest, it’s borderline rude, after all the failures and hours invested – it’s not a false sense of entitlement. The Envoy I set is what the work was for, and hiding it behind a bogus RNG-Timegate is even more rude. It’s all a lot of people have left.
Does anet pay attention to these forums? Can you make this less of a nightmare to acquire for people who aren’t so lucky?
I’ve been hearing tons of stuff from friends and in games about rumors of a make-over kit being introduced some time, is this true?
If it’s not, it’s a really great idea to make some.
sorry if its the wrong section
