Back in June-Oct of last year were the last active months that the Megaserver was functioning as intended. Halloween and Christmas took huge tolls on the Legacy Player community, the new living story maps are small and easy to get the achievements/collections on even with a working life (2 weeks content max, not counting the farming of nodes).
Guild Wars 2 can persist as it is, with its Legacy Players on Hiatus. It won’t bloom again until an expansion is announced.. the Legacy Players won’t return (for any time other th an that to complete the next living story map) until an expansion is announced. Metas will continue to go undermanned, taxis will remain a ‘must’, dungeons will go rarely played (as they are abandoned features, CoE is a beautiful beast and will be missed), and Fractals will remain the blah fest that they are.

I doubt this game will ever get Heroes/Henchmen (although being able to use your other characters inside instances would be amazing).. but anywho, I feel your pain. Been trying to get people to run CoE for awhile now. As much as I love GW2 and as much money as I have spent on it, there is an undeniable fact drifting towards absolute realization that GW2 is losing its legacy players, its identity and it’s community all together in this current outstretched content drought. Without Legacy players, the necessity of the abandoned dungeon system leaves the community with nobody running them.
Hell on that note, you can rarely get a decent metamap started— naturally (like you could back in June-Oct of 2016)— without artificially stimulated your maps through taxis. As everyone knows, this process may workwith VB (rarely) and AB, but TD and DS suffer due to it. Again, this is an issue that comes down to the ever shrinking population of Legacy Players that put the game on hiatus while they wait for new content— and waiting for new content is a game unto itself which comes quicker than you may think, even if you can only play 4 hours a night and are into doing the achievements/collections.

Matching dye(s) to go with Auric Weapons?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I am going to necro this a bit since it’s popular on google searches. Swamp Grass & Dijon is a great die for metal to match the weapons, in most light.

Again people are rolling back to the delusional state in which they think race development is expensive and resource intensive during development. Do you really have so little understanding of the Development world? Or do you honestly consider Anet to be a 6 man studio of indie developers?
I honestly think HoT left the minds of the community twisted on what to expect from Anet. HoT was obviously an Engine/Game overhaul to improve gameplay which grew so massive that it had to be rolled out as an expansion. It isn’t a conventional expansion. Anet, however, can and will develop us a proper expansion. I’ve been playing the Guild Wars series since GW1 and this is what I expect of the company.
Prophecies(big)>Factions(small)>Nightfall(big)>Eye of the North(small)
Guild Wars 2(huge)>HoT(small content expansion, huge overall)>Next expansion(huge).
I’m not even arguing because I want a new race, because I wouldn’t be creating a new character for any of them unless it was the Dwarves. I am arguing about the naive nature of the community and their absolute lack of respect for Anet. Back to what I said earlier, you guys literally act like ArenaNet is an indie developer without oodles of funds to spend on whatever they wish. I don’t know if this sentiment for Anet with the community comes from the fact that they only have 200 something employees, or because the game has no subscription base— or both. Subscription base Games have player bases which demand content of a certain caliber, whereas here on Guild Wars 2 (no matter how well Anet delivers to us) the player base seems to treat the company like it’s going bankrupt and running on empty, with devs which just got out of college or were found on the street.

I find most of this argument funny. The price of adding a new race, it’s entire development, is a drop in the bucket compared to that of a new expansion— which we will be getting.
All I see is people complaining about ‘amount of work’ necessary for a new race. I’m no special snowflake— so I don’t have an issue with a nonlinear timeline. When I help a friend kill Zhaitan, my character is living in the past. I was there, I did that. I have a brain capable of including my friend in my adventure. Most people are completely overthinking new races. Introducing them to the Order of Whispers/Pact/Priory and then into the Pact wouldn’t a problem at all. A Kodan/Tengu/Quaggan/Skritt/Moa Commander? We already have Quaggan Pact Members.
When you start a level 1 human, you are starting the human in Tyria’s Past, not the Present. It would be the same thing for any new race. When I bring my Charr into Kryta, the Krytan Humans don’t address me as a “Stinking Charr”, infact they don’t talk about my race at all. Nor do the Land Stealers in Ascalon call my Human character the rightful owner of their lands. Long Live Ascalon!

Don’t know if this will help, but the newest NVidia driver causes issues with gw2 on my AMD based computer.. and the only solution I have found is to either revert to the oldest driver or to do the repair command on Guild Wars 2. If it is happening ever 45m or so, then the Repair Command is needed to fix the problem.

Hello, I’m searching for an active guild but not one where you’re a number. My usual play times are around 9 CST. I love running dungeons and fractals and dabble a bit in sPvP. Are you guys interested in raiding at all? I’d like to get in on that with some more casual don’t care if we die type people for some progression raiding. Shoot me a PM or reply here if you can. Thanks.
Ohh btw I have a Druid, Ele, Reaper then a few others who haven’t started there elite specs yet.
Ingame Mail sent with more details.

We are casual guild, starting up again on Guild Wars 2. We are looking for people with a ‘small guild mentality’ which are looking to make a home and help us build. Would like to work towards a guild hall so we can dump our resources into it.
The guild is in need of a couple experienced players for Dungeon Runs & PvE Mentoring.
Times are CST based. So events would occur after Reset, 7:00pm CST and the guild is slightly inactive between 6am CST and 4pm CST.

Tired of people talking about politics. Can’t find one in game and I know Conservative/Libertarians play videos games. Please send me a whisper.

To derail my topic some, imagine a Guild Hall where you also get an entire Region and Guild Events are in that region. Through completing the events, your guild hall upgrades over time. Maybe I played too much Assassins Creed 3, lately.
But yes, we have a new lighthouse, the statue/fountain rebuild itself. Now to replace the bridges with stonework.. and replace the shacks with houses! Better Roads!

the Moa Races and Minipet Battles would be nice and small activities. However the city itself doesn’t feel (at the moment) like it is Grand. As far as GW1 goes, Lion’s Arch was really small.
Here is my Paragon, Saint Nicholas, Running around in Lion’s Arch in a Diaper on GW1, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTDC9pU6ecs&feature=player_detailpage#t=114s.
Gilded Grimoire[MAGI]. Casual Guild www.gw2magi.com
Neither a Suggestion nor a Question posed for a Developer. Rather, to the community, to gauge how they feel about Lion’s Arch. I see all these reviews where they call Lion’s Arch ‘beautiful’. I find it empty and boring. Maybe I suck?
Gilded Grimoire[MAGI]. Casual Guild www.gw2magi.com
Currently, Lion’s Arch looks like a Refugee Village. Some of the early concept art for Lion’s Arch made it look Grand, yet what we are stuck with now are ruins of old ships, makeshift bridges and run down shacks. Will Lion’s Arch Improve with each expansion? Will the Multiracial Experiment that is Lion’s Arch bloom into a full fledged city? Will it actually evolve over time?
I played GW1 since 2005, I know that the old Lion’s Arch wasn’t much of anything but, in GW2 it is suppose to be this great experimental city where all the races, tolerate each other.
