The ‘give-me give-me’ mindset is extremely volatile, and only brings about negativity in the long run.

I don’t need to think ‘give-me give-me’. Only ‘a single inventory slot for sale for $8.50’.

I was thinking this sort of thing would be awfully awesome for items like the Royal Pass, a favorite costume, and special gathering tools. But for 700 gems each?

AHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH

no.

Asura and Charr Femininity!

It’s funny. People who want Charr and Asurans to wear dresses because options are good almost always balk at the notion of men in dresses, because options are good (or not good when it offends their sensibilities).

If my male norn’s got it, he should flaunt it… in a well tailored dress designed to flaunt it in all the right ways.

Extreme, I believe they talked about the design process they went through for the charr for GW2 since female charr had never appeared in GW1 and anime catgirls that bore no resemblance to the males of their species was discussed and dismissed.

There is nothing feminine about charr fem its just male with smaller head.

What are you talking about? They are perfect gems of femininity!

Charr: toggle on/off 4-legs running

Always considered the fact that Charr run on all 4 legs as something that makes them so different from all of the other races.

And with the power of a toggle you could jog on your hind legs while hobnobbing in Divinity’s Reach or truck it on all fours when you hear the sound of a can opener.

I’m to assume the guild hall will have as many bunks as necessary. Window sills for Blood, keyboards for Iron, and cardboard boxes for Ash.

I’m not sure I can support a guild hall devoid of laser pointers. The keyboards are a nice touch.

Oh man. I’ve never been able to complete that one. The questgiver NPC suddenly runs out of the room for NO APPARENT REASON.

Were you doing the quest between 9 and 10pm server time? That’s when Rocket Charr Hour begins and they all have to be somewhere else right now. It’s impossible to get anything done in the Black Citadel during that time.

I guess you haven’t gotten to the part where the Tribunes are having a cat fight over which is the best- plastic bags, cardboard boxes or laser pointers. The Iron Legion prefers laser pointers, of course. Technology and well.. lasers. The Blood Legion prefers plastic bags since they make the most noise when you attack them in the dead of night. Ash Legion prefers cardboard boxes because they make the best places to set up an ambush. You as the player must settle these differences and pick the best. I went with laser pointers. It was a tough choice though as the case for cardboard boxes was pretty compelling.

The only backpieces each can craft are ones to show off what level you are of that craft. It’s never been for actual backpieces (yes they are real backpieces, but they are gimmicky profession specific backpieces, you know?).

Gimmicky in what way though? They’re account bound, don’t require the profession to use, have a gem slot and you can the choose stats. You can pretty much pick whichever profession gives the look you want or is cheaper to make since they’re identical in function and you can transmute them into anything you want.

It was too late for that the moment they decided to make charr a playable race.

Purpose behind crafting.

As Morrow points out, the point of crafting is to make that bear taxidermy backpack. Someday I might make ascended armor, but today I have a silly bear head knapsack. My 80 wears light armor and I’ll probably delete my ranger when I get bored of it. But I have a bear taxidermy backpack and that was enough to get me to level leatherworking.

Then again, I can’t complain about my female charr getting the male version of the Daydreamer’s Finery. But sadly no one has come to give my charr the tummy rubs she so clearly desires.

Seeing other people’s gear/stats, however…that’s not good.

It might be nice to be able to open up an outfit window to see the generic name of the item skins your target is wearing and try them on your own character.

I think you are missing the point that the autobuild did actually work for some people. Apparently not for you, but life can be like that…

Because when you are designing an autobuild solution the most sensible way to deal with characters with no traits or skills is to select them for the player as opposed to just not giving it an automatically generated build?

It’s so refreshing to know a company cares enough about my characters to see them without any traits or skill and decides to go fix that up for them without consulting me. Because, well, let’s face it, I just can’t be trusted with the responsibility of setting up my characters’ traits without a corporate hand. Ar they going to continue to select my traits and skills me for me? Because I’m still that untrustworthy fellow you couldn’t count on to pick the right traits a couple days ago, so I think they should make sure to spend those hero points for me lest I fail to do so myself. Nothing makes me feel more like it’s an RPG than having my skills and traits picked for me, yessiree boy howdy!

Forced to re-buy skills/traits I already had?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

cadmiumgreen.8712

leveling w/o traits wasn’t hard before when they had stats on them, it should be even easier now. Also as a ranger you should have an even easier time since your pets can keep aggro and revive you. I’ll admit that would annoy me too but it’s not by any means unplayable.

I was leveling without traits. Didn’t even buy a utility skill yet. Logged on my level 20 elementalist and wasn’t even allowed to select how I wanted to spend points because the game picked traits and skills for me. I mean, I guess by not having picked anything I proved I’m incapable of doing so and couldn’t be trusted with the opportunity/chance to handle that all by myself and lonesome, right?

Yeah, look at that Outfit. She’s asking for it.

(Edit: Oh kitten, I totally didn’t mean it like that. Disregard!)

You mean consensual tummy rubs between adults, followed by a rousing round of chasing the laser pointer.

Which only makes it more awkward if asura ladies also have the male version of the outfit. The torso window is kind of funny on charr (exposed bellies on a warlike race?), but that would dip a bit into the realm of creepy on asura.

Why humans and norn have more options than Charr or Asura?

In the case of the DayDreamer’s Finery I’m going to assume that both genders of Charr using the male version means that it’s cannon that Charr invite tummy rubs, unlike real cats.

Perhaps a dress/suit toggle would be an excellent feature to resolve this issue. That way the OP’s delightful female asura could enjoy their butterflies when she wanted to, and would have the bonus of allowing burly male norn of getting in touch with their feminine side!

Edit: I noticed a while back that on Charr at least which gender outfit is applied is sometimes arbitrary. On one set you might get the male while another the female. No explanation, same character gets different gendered outfits.
