Upgrading Hire Additional Guards in camps before any other upgrades is also rampant on Maguuma controlled camps. With season 2 soon, I hope these get fixed or those players get banned from wvw.

Lol? This isnt a hack at all, the upgrade “hire caravan guard” gives 2 guards for each yak, so when 2 yaks are there (like in your pic) there will be 4 extra guards. No hacks

Oceanic really kicks off at around 3am server time, since 12-1am server time is when peeps are just getting home from work. SEA goes onto around 9-10am server time

It all depends on what part of oceanic you are. NZ prime starts about 11pm, whereas WA isnt till 3 or 4 am

Mine says that i am tied to db, where i was last season. I am guessing it just hasnt updated and will when the season starts

IoJ tried the same thing earlier, a thief from [RIOT] kept on glitching into the tower. We killed him 3 times in 15 minutes, and then he glitched/hacked into bay not long after. Not a single wall or gate was damaged, and we killed him 3 times in the tower, so he wasnt hidden in there. Good to see this is how some people choose to play the game

This new selection screen is great. I like being able to see the queues in each of the maps. Nicely done. I’d say this is the second best deliverable for WvW since go-live (the first being the elimination of culling).

This is not true, we can queue maybe 1 map if all 3 guild groups ([TFV], [NNK] and [GA]) are on the same map.
Also, DB has no EU force, so as soon as our SEA log off, BP goes and flips our stuff. Itsthe same thing, but in reverse. Many on DB, including myself, have become bored of the endless karma train in the past few weeks, with BP not showing up like during and before leagues. I personally would like DB to go up a tier too, after having 13 weeks of EBay and BP back on AR, now seems like we are stuck with BP again

Hello, might I offer a suggestion.

This is what we practice in sor. If there’s a commander already on map, the 2nd commander will whisper the 1st if they need assist in protecting the back lines. If it’s ok the 2nd commander will usually ask for 10 pax to help run back line defense. This is more orderly and more organized. And helps rally the pugs faster as some will follow the 2nd Commander if they like small team action.

This works well as the 2nd commander shows respect to the 1st commander on scene. (unless the 1st commander is a troll)

The only problem with doing something like this on dragonbrand is that there isnt any respect shown between certain commanders, constant arguing and flaming of each other, especially in eternal and late NA. The bickering over who is commanding and who trolled who and who was a kitten the other day gets old real fast. I find the best way to avoid it all is to avoid ebg, and avoid places where certain commanders are. I only go to ebg now if i am following a guild group, or solo roaming.

I’m a little heated, but I’ll try to stay objective.

Upgrade bugs happen enough. Sometimes we have to give the workers a kick in the pants. And that’s how gaming goes sometimes. Find your workarounds and move on.

Patches are known to reset upgrades in progress. I find this to be a bit silly as this is supposed to be a 24hr war, but technicalities happen. Maybe one day we won’t have to put up with this.

Tonight the patch went into effect and it bugged garrison and a northern tower on Crystal Desert’s BL (homeland). This is a match we’re struggling in, but the map was mostly painted and we thought to bunker down. Nope. Can’t get anywhere with these upgrades. I could buy NPCs, but do nothing with the structural upgrades. It kept saying that we couldn’t queue structural upgrades while one is in progress, but nothing was actually progressing.

Morale plummets when the homeland falls apart, and now it looks like the only way to clear the bug is to let garrison and a northern tower flip and start over again.

We spent gold on upgrades before the patch only to have our efforts wiped, and now we have to burn morale to put ourselves in a defensible position. We’re already trying to rally troops who are disenchanted by a matchup we can’t win, and this is just the icing on the cake.

Please stop rushing content so we don’t have to deal with hotfixes that are mucking up the WvW scene.

Talk to the workers, this fixes it, your upgrade resumes from where it was pr patch

My question is why can’t Anet just put a limit on the number of golems a side can have per map in WvW to keep this crap from happening? Add some actual real strategy to taking a fully upgraded keep instead of just “let’s build a crap ton of golems and go get em.”

There is a limit, it is more or less 50, and then you cant throw down any more golem blueprints. I’ve done it a couple of times with my guild against TC. Takes hours to prep for minutes of work

Maybe you’re just lagging and the game sees you as running off the cliff, but your ragdoll is still at the top, hence why you can’t be ressed.

Yeah im pretty sure thats why, but its still annoying as hell, especially at the end of a jumping puzzle/vista, or when standing still at the top of hills

So i am sick of this happening, it has happened about 10 times this week. I go near a cliff, and insta die. This time, after spending about 5 minutes jumping up to this kittening vista, i get to the top, and instadie. Nothing in combat log, noone around me, cant be ressed. It is REEAAAAALLLLYYY annoying

Well it would be nice if BP came to fight, they were here last week, but this week, there are none. And the only EBay on are squishy ZoD, which you can kill 10v25.

Some of the best fights I have had have been SEA time, against servers like SoS, SBI and FA, and I remember one SMC battle with SoS and TC, which lasted around 30 mins

Need for sleep is something different then for example need for job, school etc.

Server population in one time zone or nearest should be equal enough for fair matches.

Closest timezone for me is NA. Im in NA. I am still technically a ‘nightcapper’. This wont work unless they make an oceanic/asian based server.
Also, one of my guildies is a NA player. He works the graveyard shift, finishing early morning EST (5am or so) and then comes online to play, technically a nightcapper too, so work is a reason for nightcappers

Kind of hard to find open field fights if all DB does is blob 24/7 in EBG.
Maybe EB and IoJ are tired of your PvDoor and have no desire to fight it anymore.

Maybe DB are tired of PvDoor aswell, but with Ebays awesome night presence (sarcasm), and IoJ’s refusal to leave siege range, we dont really have too much of a choice, nothing else to do really.
Also, whenever we saw the IoJ group, they were more or less the same size as the DB ‘blob’, yet they refused to show up and fight

I’m guessing someone is a little kittened off at DB’s SEA force. If people dont want to transfer off a server that they have been in for months, they shouldnt have to. DB’s SEA were here back when we were lower than we are now, and they were here when DB was in t2. Please forgive people who want to stick with a server that they have been with and built up.
If you want to use that logic, all of BP’s EU must now transfer to higher tiers

Its nice to see that there are people like this in the game, that feel the need to steal golems and kill them. These golems were left at spawn, and were found in bay after we flipped it back, with next to no health, and they refused to return them to us. Im not blaming any particular server for this, but its just dumb and pointless

It is from one of the foods introduced in the haloween update. Not sure exactly what one, but it looks awesome on golems

Rather then blanket night protection why not weigh off peak times differently? If it’s an NA server select an 8 hour block where PPT is calculated at full value. Off peak times cut that value in half, or whatever ratio seems appropriate. That way your off hours coverage team still is contributing to the servers success but not disproportionately.

Personally, I dont agree with this. Basically what you are saying is that we are less important than NA, and on a server where our off hour is our best time of day, primetime for the server, we cant gain points like the rest can. I’m not trying to be negative, but whatever is done needs to be done across the board and the same for all timezones

It wasnt even last minute. This was in week 4, and most people got over it, but obviously some are still a little buthurt over it

Are you really gonna start with this bullkitten again? DB gave up their keeps because it was friday, and we had already won the matchup. If CD had of attacked our keeps instead of Ebay, CD would have taken them. Would you be complaining if that happened? I didnt think so

I’m loyal to my guild, and my guild isnt leaving, so im not leaving. “Empty servers”? Try telling that to the 100+ taiwanese that get on around my time on my server.
This could possibly work, if they had servers in more locations (such as oceanic or SEA based).
I personally dont mind playing when most log off, it isnt the zergfest that NA is, when i can roam and have fun with my guild

I play on a NA server, usually 7-11pm each night. This is 1-5 am server time, more than likely when wvw would be ‘down’ with this idea

I said this on the last thread, and ill say it again here, its not fair on those who are not north american. As an oceanic player, on a server with a very strong SEA presence, closing down wvw at night time (why would they do it NA day time) would mean i cant play wvw at all. No thanks

I emote dead solo roamers all the time, especially ones that have full stacks that I get rid of. Because it tends to annoy people for whatever reason, when it really shouldn’t.

There are tools within the game for those that are sensitive to videogame emotes after getting killed. If you have the time to take screenshots, upload them and post on these forums (to what serves no purpose), you may as well take the time to turn emotes off.

That goes to say that I dont disrespect solo roamers at all. It’s something I personally enjoy. I get ganked, emote’d, get nasty party invites alot roaming as a glass elementalist. Just grow some thick skin instead of question an opponent’s worth with a petty screenshot of /sit spam.

My advice to Solo roamers though, if you can get in, head to the EB JP and roam/pick fights there, it’s picked up more activity as of late. No large zergs to deal with, no inflated players with stacks, no NPCs to interfere, no walls to hide behind and lots of achievement hunters to kill.

I dont mind emotes most of the time, i use them myself quite often, but what i find stupid is using them to that amount after killing one person. And it wasnt just a once off, it happened several times.
I would turn emotes off, but as I said, I use them, and they can be useful for sweeping keeps, as some mesmers use the /sleep emote.
If I was looking for fights, then maybe I would have gone to the EBG jumping puzzle, but I personally hate people who camp it, and I was flipping camps and sentries, not trying to kitten other people off by camping them
