Can you write a few examples? I think that many of these are frequently used in the game, if you cannot recognize them, just ask for help or use google.

The most recent example i just saw was ’’DS’’ .

People were talking about farming mastery points by spamming ’’DS’’.

I had NO clue what that meant lol..

and it would suck to have to google an abbreviation for this game while on the forums. i’d be on google more than here -__-

One thing i’ve noticed that really bothers me is people come chat in these forums and abbreviate so many things but not ONCE do they define the thing they are abbreviating.

Please..if from now on you guys could abbreviate things AFTER you’ve defined them at least once on your post’s, me ( and possibly others ) would appreciate it lol

The name’s carlos, i play in Picken Square european server and i’d like to join a raid group or just someone who raids. I still haven’t raided even though i’ve had HoT for 3 weeks now. If someone has room for a noobie to tag along a raid or two i would appreciate an invite!

I am only speaking about PVE right now.

As i explore Lvl 80 zones i am destroying mobs of creatures.
The warrior is giving me so much enjoyment as i swing incredibly fast and destroy ALMOST any creature i come across with ease.

So with that being said..why are ppl bringing down the warrior?

I know about www.metabattle.com however they don’t have GENERAL PVE builds.

I’d like a second source for builds, one that has PvE builds.

I need a new computer. My average fps during world boss fights with my current HP laptop is 8fps. When just roaming PvE/exploring its like 30. This is all with low/medium settings. I want to skip the craziness of building a computer, so which PC do you guys recommend i buy specifically for gw2? Budget – less then $1k.

The average every class uses berserker for PvE. If you were thinking ascended, I might hold off until the expansion comes out. Who knows what that will bring.

so what are you guys running fps wise? on average just playing through the game? i don’t have a high end PC, just an HP laptop. i lag horribly during boss fights..forget WvW, but i CAN play the game smoothly during events and just regular exploration.

Time to start gearing…what is the average ranger gearing up with stats wise? Berserker?

Very interested..currently residing in germany but IM from us so my account is still with an american server. Cant find a guild with the time time zone as i have over here.

So I’m in Germany right now but originally US so my account is still with an american server. What sucks is i cant join a guild that does anything falling in my time zone (6 hour difference between Germany and east coast). Any european guilds that can welcome me out there ? i will switch servers if i must.

If you want to order from a German shop, I recommend Mindfactory. CS is good, they have a forum for questions, too, and if you order between midnight and 6am, you don’t pay for shipping when you order for 100€ or more. Watch out for deals on specific expensive parts you want; a little bit of patience saved me 50€ on the CPU alone.
Piece of advice: Try and avoid local stores, unless you want to ask if they build your PC for a fee, too (though I think Mindfactory offers that service as well). Stores like Media Markt or smaller electronics stores usually have a few parts, but nothing special, and are hilariously overpriced nine times out of ten. They’ll have to order most parts anyway and slap on a good chunk of money for the “effort”. Only (kinda) worth it if you really think you can’t handle assembling the PC yourself, or with a little help from forums and Youtube’s “How to” section. And it’s really not rocket science. Somebody said PCs were foolproof, and they are. It’s pretty much impossible to stick something where it doesn’t belong, and if you somehow manage to do it anyway, the thing simply won’t turn on until you fixed it. A lot of MBs are colour coded, so even though it might look confusing at first, it really isn’t.

A Meta build is a build decided by the community (or part of the community) to be the most optimal build for completing certain content in the most efficient manner.

These builds change based on the content you’re doing so a meta build for dungeons is not the meta build for say WvW.

Pick the ones with the stats you like really. But you can only have one of each so be careful. For example if you want Berserker + Valkyrie stat rings you can have Bagh Nakh and Vine of the Pale Tree but not 2 Bagh Nakh’s.

Also if you are looking for Ascended Trinkets if you buy them from the laurel vendor in WvW they’re 10 laurels cheaper (but you need 250 Badges of Honor to make it up).

Two things. The ele isn’t the only profession capable of stacking might – kicking you because of you don’t stacking it – is just kitten.

I would recommend playing D/F. If your LH is gone because of curtain pug – you will still deal decent damage because of the D’s auto chain in air.
S/D or S/F blast is better then D/F but when stuck in air for instance, damage dealt is almost nothing.

Still I would give you the advice of prestacking might before the battle. In most cases the boss should be down before your might stacks have decreased a reasonable number.

And if 2 warriors are in a group one of them should play phalanx. No questions asked. Staff’s damage outnumbers warriors damage in any scenario (when at 25 stacks might – zerk gearup).

yeah so i LOVE PvE, exploring it, leveling in it, and just playing it. I recently started an ele. For you PvE player’s out there whats a good build?

If you are casually lvling use power for some extra dmg but be warned of squishiness you can try to run vitality toughness for start just till you can adjust to your ele. You will be dodging a lot and making strategies how to kill something without being one hit KOed aka dodge and dodge and guess what even more dodges vitality and toughness will give you more space for mistakes but will take a toll on your dmG. You’ll be a dodge king if you decide to play ele.

for skills, i would suggest mist form and arcane shield for extra protection and escape, signet is your choice, and later on ice bow.

Staff is usually raw dmg, gives you less space for mistakes. While lvling use any gear you want it doesn’t matter. It will matter once you hit 80.

You die because you don’t dodge staff is great for killing something before it gets to you, use chill, cripple and immobilize, use yout gliphs of elementals for extra dmg and aggro transfering.

You can not get the character back, but you might possibly be able to have the items returned. You will have to contact the CS Team and discuss the issue with them

I use my second account for the log-in rewards. Laurels can be traded into crafting materials (which can be sold or used, whatever your preference).

I also use my second account to craft time-gated refined materials, but getting the characters up to max crafting level was very expensive and quite an investment. Also, depending on materials cost and the selling price of the refined materials, sometimes there isn’t much of a return for it to be worthwhile.

I’ve heard some people enjoy using a second account so they can play “how they like to” rather than how their reputation dictates how they should. Sometimes people who are members of 100% guilds play their second accounts so they can have a bit of a break too.

I would recommend a second account over an investment in gems. Eventually the second account will pay itself off and then start turning a profit.

Are there any Benefits of having more than 1 gw2 accounts?…I remember back in gw1 having more than 1 account was a good way for extra Zaishen keys and other mats/things. Any benefits at all in gw2 from having more than 1 account?

So i was playing pretty consistently since launch but for work related reasons i had to stop for a little over a year.
