While I’m here, let me say this to TC… You have beaten and broken Mag in a way that neither Kain nor FA had been able to. I think partially it’s some of the discontent we’ve had with our rank, but you guys to seem to have unbelievable coverage. There hasn’t been a time that I was on that TC wasn’t able to rally a zerg and retake anything we’d taken. Heck of a job, guys.

When people say its an easy week IMHO they mean as far as point tally. I have died many many times to well lead and well played groups from MAG and DB while trying to take their towers and keeps.

How this matchup has been for me- Try to flip a camp with 3 people, TC portal bombs with at least 15. Whatever, wipe, try again at the next camp – TC rolls by with at least 10 people.
There’s just TC EVERYWHERE, it feels like it’s not even worth trying to play this week. I hope TC leaves this tier and never ever comes back to it – Sowwie TC, but you don’t belong here.
Folks need to accept that T3 is going to be this way and adapt and enjoy it, or transfer off. We either get TC with lots of numbers, or FA with lots of numbers and that may not change for awhile. Learn to play around the numbers and you will enjoy your experience more.
In many ways our experience in T2 has been very very similar. Recently there have been from 4-5 T1 capable servers…… with the spillover nesting in T2. With the end of free transfers and the recent server shifts maybe …. just maybe, T1, T2 and T3 will settle into something reasonably enjoyable for all.

Our thread with TC and SBI was quite civil too. In fact most of you could probably learn a lesson from it.

Its amazing to me that the biggest complainers of this move is SOR, when they are the ones exploiting the rating to jump straight into near 1st position without ever having to face a tier 1 server. Ah, well actually it doesn’t amaze me at all.
The SOR jump in rating is the reason they are reseting the points. They are out of whack and the system needs tuning, the result of SoR gaining so much rating in three weeks is evidence of this. BG earned its T1 spot after 8 weeks of hard hard week by week fighting to get to where we did. SoR now has the chance to do the same and earn their T1 spot instead of rocketing by pvdooring a dead server with a high rating.
BG did it, are you afraid to put in the work to earn it? You should be pleased, if you do get to Tier 1, it will be because you earned it, not because your killing siege raiser over and over and over again.
You were definitely spot on about this one brother. I’m really looking forward to practicing against new servers

I’ll have you know that we tried grabbing some people to take camps and get rolling before settling in with our fireworks and fancy cakes. It was more fun and more productive to have a picnic — it broke up the spawn camping at the very least.
Besides, complaining about TC holding a picnic is to lack a basic understanding of the server.

When you are on the opposing side of that yea i agree with you. Not fun at all. But it has been said that SoR wants the new players to understand and get a feel for how the WvW community operates, etc. etc. I understand that a lot of ppl from TC/SBI don’t agree with that decision, whether the reason is that it isn’t needed and pointless, or it comes off as disrespect to the other servers. That is your opinion and i respect that. Please understand though that SoR wants to do what’s best for SoR in order to strengthen its community. By no means do we mean any disrespect or anything of that nature. Perhaps the tone in the words used by some gave that impression, i don’t know. I can’t speek for them. Again, whether you believe all this is entirely up to you. If not, we’ll just have to peacefully agree to disagree.

It’s true from my perspective the current situation simply is what it is. But to game the system to intentionally stay in a lopsided match in order to bolster your own defenses/organization/population …. is not one i would or could ever see TC intentionally opting to do. So while i can appreciate your honesty and your intentions to bolster your server if even at the expense of the wvw enjoyment (to a degree) of the populations of the other two servers in the match. I cannot say i “appreciate” it or that it is a decision I/we would have chosen if given the same opportunity.
Some servers would have no problem doing the same thing, some would.
So yes i entirely believe you and your intentions for staying in T2 another week. I still find it (without using insulting terms…) disagreeable at best.

Fighting Sanctum Of Lawl is kinda like trying to drop kick an elephant at the moment. They are pretty big. Losing to server hoppers isn’t really losing. In another few months or weeks they will bail to some where else and pretend they did all the work there to.

I believe this statement has significant merit. I want more players and coverage on the TC, but the quality of the players is extremely important as well. SoR and SBI had a real opportunity to break the monotony of this tier after blackgate left and instead ruined it. Your the biggest kid in the block but even with your new numbers your just a big fish in a small pond. Blackgate accomplished your gains while fighting SoR -and- TC. In spite of that, they are struggling to keep up with JQ and SoS, which means it’s more likely then not that SoR will be smashed to pieces in tier 1 and continue swapping places with blackgate or some similar scenario.
I really wanted to give SoR a good fair fight when BG left the picture and it never came, which above all is a real pity. There was a good chance without the transfers that SoR could still have won tier 2, but I also think that TC has proven capable enough as well. But because of the transfers I can’t answer that question. This matchup was broke and is now essentially pointless. A win* is just not the same as a win in the Dwhitecyclopedia of Crittanica. :p

Tarnished Coast, we have priorities next match. SOR wants to make it into tier 1 then let them earn it. We must Tier block them for one more round and hopefully the looming threat of either MAGUUMA or FA will replace SBI and then further block SOR’s rise. Once SOR is stuck here, their numbers will decrease slowly.
We are the last defense of Tier 2 WE MUST HOLD OUT one match longer! Let them regret throwing a match.
I wish you luck SOR but our defense will hold strong.

Tarnished Coast (aka Tarnished Desert) is an excellent server and that is an incredibly vast understatement. We would welcome all from any server or new gamers and none of you would regret it. That being said i wouldnt wish what SOR did to SBI on my worst enemy and i have nothing but respect for CD.

It is not about SOR. (run that again in your head one more time).
Its about the game as enjoyment, Wvw as it is played and three server communities that make up a Tier and in this case Tier 2. What you argue is good for SOR is not good for the tier…… for the rest of us in this thread. There is no solid argument any of you have made to convince me of that. Now it may be that the Tier’s health, problems and fun quotient is not really your problem or concern.
At least be honest about it.
Like I said, when this shakes out, TC most likely won’t be in T2 anymore anyways to worry about this. I suspect you will be back in T3 due specifically to 2 other servers on the way up.
I suspect karma will catch up with SOR and you are actually better off hiding in T2. TC got here and made it here without a mass wagon train. I doubt we are going anywhere….. and whenever we end up we will be giving all we have and never opting to avoid a fight because it might be difficult somewhere else.

The way the server lopsided ended up as it is … is not one i would point a finger and blame anyone for. Server transfers were coming to an end, choices had to be made, life happens and we ended up here. Cest la vie.
