It is not about SOR. (run that again in your head one more time).

Its about the game as enjoyment, Wvw as it is played and three server communities that make up a Tier and in this case Tier 2. What you argue is good for SOR is not good for the tier…… for the rest of us in this thread. There is no solid argument any of you have made to convince me of that. Now it may be that the Tier’s health, problems and fun quotient is not really your problem or concern.

At least be honest about it.

The divorce rate in america is so high because people rush into it too fast, face hard times, and eventually grow apart.

the same thing goes for wvw, if you rush into a major challenge too fast and possibly face hard times it could very well hurt the community. You treat it with respect, care, love, perserverance, trust, and friendship like anybody whos happily married knows. You build it from the ground up, make the foundation strong and it will last forever. That is what we are doing.

Which community? SOR or the Tier 2 server wide community?

Just so we are sure who and what we are talking about.

these are just 2 different ways of saying the same thing. i have to agree with Dirtyold goat, I would rather put up with chest thumping than be patronized.

You are not disagreeing because you are acting on your own irrationality. If you cared about being correct then you would have looked at this thread in a manner that disregards your emotional state.

Multiple times, SoR members stated that SoR winning by this margin was due to our timezone coverage being bolstered due to new guilds joining. Many even apologized for the lopsidedness that this caused because it would mean that this tier would have less balanced fights. After this, many decided that they would play on alts or not play as much in order to offset the larger amount of players that SoR had.

But if you guys want to compare actual empathy towards SBI and TC with being spat on and called weak for being beaten up by a gang, then it is your choice to do so.

Why isn’t SBI tanking the match this week? I wasn’t online last night so I didn’t get to ask.

And…if TC concentrated on SBI constantly to drive our points down wouldn’t that make it easier for the next Tier 3 opponent to advance to Tier 2 at the next reset? How close are the ratings at this point?

Knowing that SoR is counting on coasting to an easy victory again next week it’s kind of odd that there’s been no effort put forth in response.

SOR is def counting on coasting on easy mode for at least the next two weeks. Their words not mine (and i think it is weaksauce) but write to say we neednt simply play along with what they want.

What do we want? And lets make that happen.

According to your own players, you guys have so much internal strife and conflict about remaining competitive. You’ve had 1 guild just up and leave with countless other original TC players. You have half your player base wanting an organized alliance, the other half wanting to keep TC true to its colors. Your biggest WvW guilds which are carrying your server are getting so much heat they are even thinking of transferring to other servers.

You seem to have a lot of opinions about the state of SoR and the mindset of its players peppered through all your posts in this thread. You should really worry about your own house before you try and help others.

It’s clear you dont know much about TC. And i get the reverse of that may also be true which is that I dont know much about SOR.

I know these things:

1. TC is an excellent server, great pvp, full nearly all the time, and excellent sportsmanship. We fought are way to T2 and here we remain.

2. A bunch of guilds in our T2 match jumped from the then third place position (sbi) to the then first place position (sor).

3. TC remains in position 2. While (some on) SOR with its sudden massive influx of ….. well different people call it different things…… i will use the word “additions” feels entirely ok with using a patronizing tone to insure us that this massive influx to their server and their plan to intentionally stay in t2 for a few more weeks to work the kinks
out is a good thing for everybody involved.

I for one am ready to see you go.

…. and I would rather be fighting BG tooth and nail as they fight their way back into T1 than house sitting with SOR as it eats grapes and drinks wine while running tactics in what now is a completely lopsided T2. (see point 2).

This is a game but being a “good sport” is a universal concept.

Keep it tight guys! We need one or two more weeks to build the community in SoR. And i wouldn’t object to us in a sort of cooldown-mode to keep the points from balancing allowing us not to fluctuate and head directly to t1 prematurely.

Not that we’re throwing the match, but I guess you could say we’re trying not to win by so many points that we are thus prematurely moved to Tier 1. Please don’t misunderstand, we want to win and we want to get to Tier 1, but only when the time is right. I personally don’t think we are ready for Tier 1 yet. I couldn’t be happier for the recent influx of Oceanic guilds, but before we move to Tier 1, I think we all need to learn and practice working together so that we can at least make a decent attempt against the likes of SoS and JQ.

Yeah i was leveling my warrior (for WvW) in a lowby zone and a large group of heroes started walking by, i thought a PVE event was about to happen until i realized these were actual players in some kind of RP event.

Im not an RP’er but i turned on walk and joined them for a short march.
This stuff adds good flavor to an already good server.

Transferred to TC a few months ago. Best in game decision I have ever made.

Excellent commanders, excellent guilds, excellent pug cohesion, excellent WvW but best of all = excellent attitude.

I and many many others spent hours last night trying to burn down FA’s house. In fact we punched two holes in their wall and knocked the door down and still could not make it up the stairs. FA held us back.

It really is that simple.

Which is why i have so enjoyed these couple of weeks…. no matter the score there are no easy battles.

Honestly I don’t want to go down to T4. We have destroyed those servers before and it was boring… nights where there was nothing to do in WvW cause everything was capped.

Despite being in 2nd -3d place here for the last 3 weeks, i have really enjoyed the pvp. Sure i would like to see a fresh new server to fight against but if it means us steam rolling them then I would welcome being back in the situation we are in today against Yaks and TC.

Just a few thoughts.

1. I kinda enjoy the drama so long as no one is taking it too seriously and everyone remembers its a game. Some healthy competition is ok.

2. Score aside… as a TC player if i zone into WVW during primetime and try to head north in the YB zone i get wrecked. If i try to head north in the FA zone i get wrecked. This is an epically good match.

There is no point in giving up against a force that you will have to fight again in 2 weeks, 3 weeks a month from now….. .. . Might as well use the time to hone tactics and improve organization. No matter who in the third tier is winning now….. those of us in the third tier will ultimately meet again at some point.

(and imho this has been a great fight with worthy competition and battles fought by all three servers)

So this is what was going on!! I heard some guys in our guilds vent complaining that they were not able to place siege weapons in EB (we are on TC) and couldnt figure out what the problem was. When i zoned in i noticed siege machines sitting around in all manner of bad and strange places.

This is a lame exploit and poor tactics.

There is no TC anyone alliance. Even tho TC has remained in 1st place for a few weeks there has rarely if ever been an instance where i couldnt log into either the YB or FA or even TC homeland and be quickly sent to a local rezpad.

The fighting has been good and strong on all three fronts. I dont support alliances of any kind…. but i will admit the thought of YB and FA teaming up to burn us down does sound like a lot of fun.

alliances to zerg and demoralize = fail
alliance to create renewed energy = fun

(but i still would stand against it as once alliances start they are hard to stop and alliances in general make for poor game play)

Personally I won’t be going to TC. From what I understand, it’s the role play server, and that’s not my style.

Some clarifications to this:

You can play on TC for a month long, each day, PVE and WvW, and don’t meet a single actual roleplayer. It happened.

You can meet some roleplayers on TC, and they won’t be forcing you to roleplay with them. In fact, they would most probably ignore you even if you tried (RPers are generally used to everyone making fun of them, so they just shut out the outside world and filter out anyone not from their group).

Finally, there is virtually no RP in TC’s WvW apart from one particular higher-profile guild (that I know of), and even that from my experience generally boils down to occasionally shouting “For Ascalon!” during battles.

I basically WVW most of my game time. I also RP most of my game time.

The baddy rp walking towards the fort is me…. embrace the RP, there is nothing to fear (lot of fun actually).

GODS, welcome to the server (TC).

I like FA and YB they have provided the most fun and real competition that i have seen since i have been on TC (so i wouldnt want to encourage ANYTHING that changes the good things going on with those servers, much much respect to FA and YB)

…. that being said, you will love TC and if you are bringing your zerg then its time for us to prepare ourselves for Tier 2.

3. As an often solo flyer when i pick wvw zone to go into if we are lucky enough to be in first place I usually choose to harass the 2nd place team….. because that just makes sense. right?

I WvW for as long as i can as often as i can.

I love it. The tears about the new gear dont concern me ….. (and i think the tears are also unwarranted and a bit juvenile . . . but that is only my opinion and once again i spend my time WVW and new gear for a specific dungeon is just that to me).

I have not done the fractal dungeon (or most dungeons), i am in no hurry to do it (or most dungeons), and this gear they released is only good for that dungeon.
