It is happening to me all the time. Yesterday me and a friend were playing and we had to restart our computers or the game crashed under 5 minutes. If you can answer this; can you tell me when you will fix this? It is happening to my mac…

Is it not possible to read anything in this thread? Even from the mods? You can see their posts as they are highlighted with red to make them more prominent. Check up on that to get all your answers pal.

Hi everyone,

After the recent update (which was last night), I am experience many crashes to the point it is unplayable. Before the update, the gameplay was awesome with good quality settings.

This is the Mac stuff:

Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB
Processor 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7

Please let us know if there’s a solution or an update needed.

I’d check the dedicated Mac forum if I were you, there’s a ton of people there who are discussing it, including a post by a mod who has explained what’s happening.

The game runs in 32 bit mode no matter PC or Mac. This means that it can’t even utilise anything above 4GB memory.

I tried repair, which did not work. Now i am re installing the game. Hope this issue can be fixed

Have you red the mods post? He says reinstalling won’t fix the issue, so don’t waste your time! It’s something wrong with the code that runs the game, so there’s nothing you can really do about it until an update arrives.

Not the right wording. The Carrier doesn’t have meshes now, meaning you can shoot and run through it (which also introduces the bug where you can’t hit it with projectiles).

So ANet is now literally forcing pugs to use melee weapons?

Haven’t tested with many ranged weapons, but Ice Bow and Fiery Greatsword seemed to miss with their autoattacks.

Seemed to make damage with my scepter.

Well, obviously this has not been fixed, I logged in just 5 mins ago and no cutscene. In fact despite an update downloading first there doesn’t appear to be any new content at all.

There’s not been an update that resolves this yet, which is why it’s not been fixed.

Also, there isn’t exactly new content, this is the epilogue. You had your great big end battle last episode.

Just did it now with a group, absolutely no problems whatsoever. You must have been with a really bad pug group or something.

From my experience, ~60% of the pugs don’t even dodge the most obvious and slow attacks in dungeons, I really don’t see most people dodging these cosistently.

Personally, I’m happier for a little more of a challenge rather than nurf everything to ensure all pug groups can do everything fine without a little organisation or skill.

No need even for fgs/ele. It can be done perfectly fine with a normal group who can actually see when he goes for the leap/drop. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Also, don’t worry if you don’t have any blocks/invulnerability, you can get the achievement absolutely fine without such skill. Just dodge quicker.

The same is happening with my Mac and it always happens on the green knight in LA. Just over halfway through fighting it and the “lockedRect.pBits” crash happens. It’s also been happening to my girlfriends game, and honestly she doesn’t want to play anymore. It’s not worth putting in so much effort to get kicked out and left in a zone with absolutely no one fighting in some random overflow.

Unit Testing the API

One solution we use with other projects is to run the tests, and the first time it will actually pull the data from the server and save this to the system. Any tests after this will just run tests on the downloaded JSON data (so only connects to the internet once, and once only).

And then if you want to download the data again, we just delete the JSON files, and the tests automatically connect to the API again to re-pull data (in case anything may have changed, to check updated behaviour and such).
