But when will you remove Illustrious Legend from people who did not earn it? I will keep nagging about it until we have a response.
Be careful how much YOU nag, your own account may be looked at for suspicious activity. Not pointing any fingers Malediktus.
I’m having constant FPS drops today since rollback changes.

Eternity isn’t following the day/night cycle anymore since the patch.
A friend and I stood next to each other with Eternity, one was in day mode, the other in night mode.

I think the main issue is that ANet changed how the achievement works (mainly on just Wing 3).
How come it’s not the same for other achievements?
Why did they change how it works?
Is it intended?
I don’t need the achievement, but when carrying non-full raiders in a group, they should at least get the achievement like most of us did being alive or not. I’d like to be able to say “No worries, you’ll still get the achievement”, rather than let’s all wipe because X person died at 1%; of course, not counting for Eternal.
(edited by domness.6719)
Seems to be a big issue with getting rewarded for achievements at the moment.
It seems that for all wing 3 achievements, you have to be alive. So if you die when killing Xera, you will not get the achievement for killing her, similar things when activating the challenge mote at KC, or dying when doing the 8-min Escort achievement.
Also today in Wing 1, we did an Eternal + Last Cannon achievement at the same time, we had someone who got the Eternal achievement fine, but Last cannon didn’t get rewarded despite leaving up East cannon for the whole fight.
who can dish out stability or vigor (to dodge his third hit)
You can stand at max melee and walk out of range to cancel the 3rd hit.
Unbreakable breakbar*
The breakbar is tiny, you can break it pretty easily/fast. Just get ready at 50% and then you probably only have to break 1-2 more times max after that.
However, because of Issue 1, we are forced to range the boss.
You don’t have to range the boss, just whoever is focussed has to walk out of range of the 3rd attack.
As of now (it has been said in other topics) the only smooth strategy that can achieve a consistant kill of the boss regardless the scale is to max range him using necros and condi mesmers. It doesn’t promote skillful play nor build diversity
I find condi quite lacking in this fight due to the boss clearing all the condis if he gets up his shield for a split second. This means condis lose their advantage, and direct DPS becomes better.
I do think that those out of their mind are players who play everything only for rewards, not even for fun anymore.
you can’t be serious? you don’t play it for rewards? i do and anyone who says otherwise is straight out lying.
Rewards are good, but what’s a game if it’s not fun? They obviously go hand in hand. If something isn’t fun, but I’m getting rewarded for it, I’ll probably do it once, but hell I’m not going to repeat something if it’s boring.
kitten the old bloomhunger, that was a snorefest and could be solo’d blind. The new bloomhunger actually at least has some mechanics. People will cry until they realise that it’s not actually hard, and all you need to do is dodge for the most part.
new players can play the easy version while the veterans can play the hard one.
What. Everyone is new to the raids, why suddenly demand an “easy” version?
Seems pretty stupid to dumb down the content because people can’t be bothered to learn how to use their class beyond open-world zerging. Either learn to play (happily go into fractals/dungeons/DPS golem and learn rotations etc.), or don’t try and dumb down raids into something so worthless, that your average player can easily do.
It’s not about “discrimination”, it’s about having an optimum party composition. It’s been like this since forever. You don’t pick a class just because it can hit things, you pick them for a reason.
Why don’t you just have 10 full magi healers? Or 2 magi healers? Because it’s stupid and wastes X spots for something better. If you can only play Warrior, then sucks to be you. A lot of people have at least 4+ classes fully geared. Personally I have 9 classes fully geared, full ascended, food, ready to go. If a group needs a certain class, I’ll go on that class because I don’t get easily offended like the OP.
Pugged it yesterday, highest tier, killed it 1st go. It’s definitely not too hard, some players are just incredibly bad and need to improve rather than complain. Git good.
‘sigh’ We (three people) had to cycle through half a dozen randumbs before we finally got some who understood what (not) to do in that fight. I wonder how long it will take before you reliably get pugs who can do Bloomy
Well to be fair, that’s because it’s new, not because it’s hard.

I dont like this idea, finding 10 players is not too much to ask for.
Yup, and doing it with lower numbers currently at least gives better guilds more of a challenge.
Would it fix that issue if the scaling stopped at 8 players?
10 players : 100%
9 players : 92%
8 players and less : 84%
Well it kinda defeats the point if the bosses health goes down straight away. I enjoy doing 100% with 6-7 people. Even doing it 9 man is an achievement for some people.

Leave it as it is, scaling instances would be just utterly stupid.
Guys, asking him to make his own LFG is apparently too much:
Then I get asked to make my own group, which is tantamount to saying why don’t i just form my own guild – which I don’t want to do, its way too time consuming for such little pay off
Seems like the standard “give me everything on a silver platter” person / troll. Let’s stop the conversation here.
You can complete the raids with any build pretty much, so half of your argument is void from the very beginning; going to ignore half of what you said because you don’t even have a clue.
I’ve joined and completed raid encounters on another account without having to show any exp at all, so again, something unique to you.
I don’t really know what else to say.
raid content is too gimmicky (not hard but filled w/specific cheese mechanics + you need specific builds)
… I have no LI’s
(edited by domness.6719)
When you’re in most places (except TD?) the Dragons Stand title is duplicated on the world map.
Probably your pet body blocking, really need to get that out of the way or else it’s going to cause problems.

So, today we tried bloomhunger on 21 with full condis, kinda 1-shot the guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ha2zVztkQZY
No matter what the content is (happens to everyone in raids + in the DPS golem arena), when you pass a trigger which causes the camera to go into “World boss” mode (zooming out) it causes a huge FPS drop for almost 10 seconds.
Can be easily reproduced by crossing the arena trigger in the DPS arena. Also happens every time we start fighting a raid boss.
Minions, even ranger spirits seemed to be blocking the attack now, we just outright removed the necros for a kill.
Remember guys, this is meant to be about the size of like 9 LS1 episodes
Hue.
New molten furnace still bugs, have to leave the instance when the final boss doesn’t do anything.
- Loses line of sight behind wisps and just stands still forever
- Loses buff but stays invulnerable, cannot fix without leaving the instance completely and resetting
- Hitbox seems to be wonky, some attacks the animation vs hitting is out of sync
Ye, wasn’t just sure since you showed F11 during the run.
Ahh, I get where you’re coming from now
Ahh, wasn’t something for gw2dungeons, just bloomhunger.
@Verthurnax There’s tons and tons of training + raid hub guilds out there for people like yourself. Go look for them instead of complaining because you haven’t even tried to make a group yet.
Today decided to do a quick Bloomhunger 56 duo:
Engi Domness (Engineer)
Simbàh (Tempest)
(edited by domness.6719)
Yeh, I think overall it’s a good way for non-raiders to start getting magnetite shards and the like, and potentially spark some interest into raiding when they realise they’ve already done 1/3rd of the chest encounters in a raid.
Take another druid
The support is decent, and you get DPS boosts with Grace of the Land stacks.
I know it’s an annoying work around, but you can reset the CD if you use “Reset my cooldowns” twice in the DPS arena.
Number of LI’s is fine. After having 1 wing per week, 2 wings per week, and NOW 3 wings per week(!!) it’s going to be much easier for people. I’ll have enough for a full set of legendary next week already.
A few bugs, and some things that really need improvement:
- Tether to statue mobs in the KC fight sometimes just stays at where they spawned, making it hard to see exactly where we should be pulling them
- Mob/Boss AoE fields on Xera would be a lot better if they were the solid orange telegraphs. I feel that with the amount going on when stacked, it’s so hard to see the small clear AoE fields with a faint red line around the edge
- Ley Lines randomly stop working
We’ve had a few times where we’d all be going onto the next platform and the ley line wouldn’t work for anyone, or sometimes wouldn’t work for 1-5 people randomly (happened today after the patch that fixed the DC’s at Xera).
A lot of the posts on the LFG are there because no one is joining them, ones that are desired are filled so kitten quickly.
Also, people are wanting experienced people, because, LO AND BEHOLD it took top guilds almost a full week of constant raiding JUST to get a clear. It took many weeks to have guilds for decent groups.
We’re now over 6 months since raids came out and people WANT experienced, because quite honestly, it’s cost even the best guilds, days and days on end of constant raiding to get quick clears, to get decent builds, decent team compositions.
For someone to expect to get into an experienced group without any experience and expect to get carried, is quite honestly, an insult to the many hours we have put in.
There ARE training raids on LFG, they DO get filled up quickly, you WILL get experience in these if you put in the effort. There are CONSTANTLY posts with people offering training from guilds that specifically do training, there are guilds of 500 members who joined with no experience.
If you want training, if you want to get some experience YOU HAVE to actually put in the effort to find these groups, to form groups yourself. If you don’t, then you won’t get anywhere.
Why do we need easier raids? Making an easy mode just completely defeats the point of them.
Most of the people that I have spoken to that complain about raids, have a pretty bad attitude towards wanting to even try something new.
Remember when Raids first were released? Remember when 99.999999% of the GW2 population hadn’t set foot in a GW2 Raid before?
Well.. everyone has to start somewhere, it’s just that the people who are doing weekly raids now actually got off their behinds and went straight in for beating the raids.
If you want easier raids, I’d suggest just do dungeons or fractals with a small group of friends. You’d be missing out on 90% of the fun if they were made easier. The whole point of raids is that they are challenging, without that challenge, what’s the point.
(edited by domness.6719)
1st Encounter: Pretty easily, similar to Bandit Trio, perhaps feel a little better in terms of progression just as you’re moving through the map all the time, and if you’re DPS/movement is good then you can progress faster.
2nd Encounter (Keep Construct): Seems a relatively nice fight, mechanics are fine, not too hard at all really. Took us a LOT less time to get this done compared to say Sloth/VG. I’d say it’s probably the easiest boss so far.
2.5 (Twisted Castle): Took quite a while to actually understand this one as you have to do a lot of exploring, but when it’s learned it’s just about getting around, barely have to kill many things.
3rd Encounter: Only really touched on it, looks EPIC so far, in terms of mechanics, yet to spill the beans.
we are 2 man. i can’t play 6 hours in a row and only for one boss. true life calls
Wing 1 and Wing 2 typically take less than 1 hour each.
It’s really not that hard, in fact, I think it’s probably one of the better bosses. Sure, it can take a while, but it’s not exactly hard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFTOQ7LU3qA
In front of it there are 4 recepticals each for a different condition (e.g. Burn, poison, bleed, vulnerability; all rather common) each of them has to be activated by applying the correct condition in the correct order for a certain duration.
Something pretty much like this exists in Blade and Soul, and it’s not a bad thing really in my experience. The difference in BnS though is that instead of different conditions, it’s types of CC.
The way CC works in some of their new dungeons, is depending on the mob colour you have to use a specific form of CC (otherwise it does nothing), i.e.
- You have to CC 3 mobs in a certain time or the boss enrages and does a huge attack
- The 3 mobs that spawn have a random colour (Blue or Green), depending on the colour, you had to do a knockdown or a daze
So in a similar vein the same could be said for any of the CC’s we have in game in GW2, or as you say, different conditions.
The idea could be annoying, but I’m all up for bringing in more mechanics that really test peoples knowledge of their class and the skills/traits that they can bring to the table. A good example of this is in the Matthias fight, where you have to use burning to remove the icy patches, whilst it’s not a huge mechanic, it does bring some flavour to bringing a class that can burn efficiently.
The HoT expansion brings Raids to the table, and to be honest, they are some of the best “challenging” content. They may not be the hardest/most challenging, but they are pretty fun and well made. If that’s the kind of thing you’re into, then I’d heavily suggest getting HoT just for that. This Tuesday ANet is releasing the 3rd and final wing to the 1st Raid, and I hope many more will come in the future.
One would hope they’d keep developing Raids, some of the most amazing content this game has seen. I’ve also heard that what they’ve learnt and some of their expertise will be used to help future Fractal content.
The actual item has very little use besides the huge “OMG” when you get one as a drop. There’s not really a need to boost the drop rate as it then loses it’s great feeling when you get one.
Ecto price since farm:
Not really changed at all
Preventing progression on Tarir maps:
None at all
Farming all the time:
Only once every 2 hours.
Silverwastes:
Prevents people from completing the map events by limiting the amount of people who can actually run the events. If Anet are going to nerf anything, nerf Silverwastes farm before AB.
Currently the Legendary Fractal back item as a glider disappears when you start gliding for everyone except the player who is playing with the glider.
- Me using the legendary fractal glider: Visible, looks absolutely fine
- Others watching me: Gliding with no glider visible at all
95%+ of fractals that get run is still zerker meta
and can be just as succesful with condi builds but this instability makes it Mandatory to not run a smidgen of precision in yoru build and go pure condi
Hahaha, you serious? You do know that precision isn’t just a power related thing? And condi’s don’t just sit there with some defensive stat instead of precision. You must be pretty dumb to even assume that!
Did you roll back to the 362 driver version? That’s the latest that doesn’t cause issues for me.
GW2, Path of Exile, Blade and Soul were the only games I’ve played recently.
Also there has been an official statement on their latest driver having issues.
I’m getting this when I view the Hero Panel / PvP panel. For some reason the game is running fine, but as soon as I open one of those panels my game goes down to 6-15 FPS for quite a long time. Closing the panel doesn’t fix it.
Turns out the latest NVidia driver is a bit buggy. Rolled back and it’s fine now.
I have no issues on ANY other game, and whether buggy or not, it takes me hours just to download the driver updates… if that is the issue, when do you think they’ll update it to be functional again?
I’ve been experiencing the issue on all games I’ve been playing, the GPU just stops boosting power. I’ve rolled back to the 362 driver and it’s working nicely now
