cool, but is this what game designers are wasting their time with… i mean its been purposely designed.
Couldn’t they spend the time on added new content to Halloween for example?

Revenant – didnt you buff it as it was under powered?
– Up and down like a dam yo yo, you wonder why people get annoyed… make things work correctly in the first place without rushing them. Revenant will be useless for raids, weak in PVE,
– when you announce a change, cant you add a rationale?

Yes i hate the mastery points hidden behind doing story quests to gain achievements, as you are forced to repeat the same story over and over again, this is no fun at all.

Its not hard, its not challenging … just boring and repetitive!

Ive come to the conclusion that if i want anything nice in the game, ive got to turn my mind to rot, and repeat the same thing over and over and over again… ANET its bloody boring!!

Just means repeat killing bosses over and over for a few days/ weeks… This is not very diverse, very grindy, and simply boring!

I dont think there is nothing to do, in fact quite the opposite there is loads to do… Thing is they all equate to the same thing, currency sink. Everything to do is about how to spend gold/karma/luarals/ etc… So There are loads of events on GW2 and in HOT, there only existence is to provide a way to achieve loot for the crafting… thats the only content in this game, looting for crafting.

- Are we being forced to play one route of the game, if we want to obtain this Armour?

Am i right in saying it is only available via Raid Bosses?

So any Pvp, wvw or anyone else that doesn’t like raids, cant achieve this Armour, as Anet are forcing players down a route they do not wish to do

Last season i soloed to diamond, this season i gave up after 2 hours playing my now broken revenant.

You dont need to be that “pro” you need to be unemployed, as it requires a ridiculous amount of time in such a small window … anti casual. Good luck

I relate to the op comments looking back at when i started in pvp, it does seem at first a cluster shumk of button spamming, and really with the poor random party system it still is as new players get bunched with experienced, so the team work that is required is not present. And it is this team work that is heavily weighted to individual skill. In essence you need to understand every class, and how each of your skills adds to others, and how each skill of another effect you. successful teams work together, unfortunately it only takes one player in a random team to try and be a hero, and due to the weighted nature of how skills work in effecting team mates, this can loose you the match.

Ok so its nice we can all make a new lvl 80, its nice we have new content.

BUT, we all need to craft the new items, and this may require multi crafting disciplines…
Which means we have to grind, now everyone, absolutely everyone googles “huntsman crafting guide” then either farms all the mats, or more likely farms gold and buys mats off a guide and follows a guide to hit lvl 400 for requirement to craft fun/ decent things. This boring pointless nonsense takes hours.

So to recap, instead of me doing daily’s and the other 100s of fun things, im forced to spend hours, wasting my time.

- Google a guide
- buy mats
- waste a heap of time
= aquire lvl 400

This is such a rubbish way to go about things! and kind of soul destroying, my char has been at the crafting table for a week, as i cant bring my self to login as i know im just going to mindlessly follow a guide for a few hours. I really dont want to play, but i need the 400 really to proceed in PVE.

Cant there be a better way, im sure new players hate this right of passage!

Not my first, but haven’t played for a long time, experience used to give skill points after 80, so was assuming it would do so for me to gain herald. So now ive leant that only heropoints count ok…

You cant start it any time, a new character has to unlock all the story … and in doing so i will loose all the accumulated experience!! … which i need to unlock herald.

I cant accumulate any more experience, until i have unlocked masteries… as ive already said, which means i need to do all the story quests and sacrifice all the experience i need to unlock herald.

Ok so i started lvling a revenant , i get to 80, then im not able to get Herald skills, as i cant gain any experience until i unlock masteries, that means i have a ton of story quests to do to get there, sacrificing a too much experience, i will not be able to unlock herald.

They seem to think that customers are below the intelligence than themselves thus presuming that we are so devoted we are happy to be mugged.

- They have never taken the criticism of their players seriously, usually dismissing it as “players will never be happy” “you cant please everyone” positive/ happy players don’t frequent the forums"

Yes, that is very true and I regret it more than I can say. This is a pilot program and we may be able to extend it in the future, though.

My experience is that you need to be prepared to us google as much as you play.. There is so much that is not explained though the game, and poor itemisation information, requires using multiple internet sources to gain knowledge that should be available in the game. This stupidity leads things to being elitist. So in a nut shell yes it is casuaul as half the game is played on google, working out farming lists

no its designed for medlee clearly. How can 80% be invunerable. Swap to sword/ focus and 10% (as normal)

Tell me right after patch why my Spatial surge skill has gone from around 2000 starting to 200?

Why am i forced to google everything in this game, every item has a nicely worded pile of pretentious waste of time …. to me it seems item description is there for a purpose, these do not even properly describe the item, or what it does, I could post loads of these for examples :

“Ley Line Infused Stone
The polarity of this stone is locked in a stable matrix. A Ley Line disrupting device could unlock its potential forces.”

Reasons it is so annoying:
1 . Im forced to spend a large amount of my gaming time using google
2 . I just craft/ forge/ use it, wasting 200+ hours of crafting material for a new back pack skin that i didnt even want!!

Ok so im playing on Europe server, im wondering if all English are playing on America servers, just the only so called English guilds are the many number of broken and hard to understand Spanish/ german etc etc

I would like a actual English speaking guild.

Would you recommend I change server to America?

Never going to play WoW again. I mean come on, that would be like moving back to mom´s house because the shower doesn´t work properly…

None, Its like moving into your first apartment and seeing the shower looks all fancy/ new and shinning, then it not working for 3 months, then yes going back home the place you know that the old reliable shower works :P

OP 1 month ago, Ranger is worst now then OP posts ……. Very disapointed at the slowness of fixes in GW2 that is unless it effects Gems and there is aways a instant fix, funny that?

Ridgeblader… please get to 80 then comment. I found lvling not a problem, infact easy to 80 on the ranger. That is not the issue, the issue is Ranger is compleatly useless in dungeon and the bottomof the pile for adding to partys. The ranger is crap at pvp, and only really can be played at a some what tedious support role both in pvp and wvw. It really does suck being a range class, but other classes with range weps are simply better all around, so why bother?
