Anything you do in game can be tracked so I don’t really think that’s the reason. Not to mention it’s just as easy to be given gold by gold sellers via the mail system. I mean most of the gold sellers in other games actually DID use the mail system to deliver it. So my only guess is that they had problems coding it…hopefully they see it’s a wanted feature and add it in. Most of the time mail is fine for me, but sometimes it would be so much nicer to just be able to directly trade it.
They are in the game…I got white dye and it is definitely pure white.
Since I was just commenting on jumping puzzles…my suggestion is to reward the chests like the daily achievements. Some of the chests are easy to miss, this would take care of it since you’d get it upon completion.
This isn’t a linear MMO where the only way to get from point A to B is by leveling on content close to your level.
This isn’t really true. If you are level 70 and leveling in a level 40 zone you are drastically cutting your rate of exp down. You will level slower. For some people that’s fine, but if you want to level up at a “normal” rate you need to stay close to your level range. So if you are level 70 stick to 60+ areas if you want a “normal” rate of exp. I really wish they’d scale the exp of events so that at least you aren’t getting such pathetically low amounts of exp for lower level zones, but for now it is best to keep close to your level range.

The problem with giving elementalists weapon swap is that they’d have access to more skills than ALL other classes. They’d have 40 skills from weapons alone if they could weapon swap while other classes only have access to 10 weapon skills with weapon swap (not counting underwater weapons or utilities). I think the better solution would be giving more support via utilities or change how some of the other skills work to better provide support. To be honest my biggest issue with elementalists isn’t the lack of weapon swap, but really the lack of using any other attunement. I feel like I spend 95% of my time in fire because it does the best damage and has good control options. There is very little reason for me to consider using the other attunments everything else feels lackluster. I only switch to water to apply my healing abilities every once in awhile. I also think we could use some better utilities.
The funny part is, I spend most of my time (with a scepter and dagger) in Earth for the big damage it does and I’ll jump to fire for the damage spikes.
As for having access to more skills, well that does stand to reason.
It only makes sense, to me anyway, that a class that is pure magic use would have that kind of access to that many skills but the trade off is we tend towards being squishy (with which I have no issue, btw).
In all honesty, why I will admit that Ele’s can be powerhouses under certain circumstances, they do seem to have a great deal more party support skills and should be allowed access to the with weapons swaps.
I play mostly with staff I haven’t unlocked my scepter skills for earth yet, haha so i have no idea about that weapon. I just know that for staff fire is the best easily. Air has the speed boost, but the skills are more or less mehhh and they just seem to hit so much less. It means that I basically only switch into another element when I need something specific such as a heal or projectile shield then quickly switch right back out because I need the damage to finish off my enemy. Perhaps though that’s the intent? Or maybe just staff is like that. Not sure.
You want 100% map completion without completing the map? I don’t meant this rudely, but that’s ridiculous.
I really hate this as an argument because you aren’t required even now to explore 100% of a map to actually get map completion. I’m not in either camp on this one. Vistas I don’t mind except the ones that are part of complex jumping puzzles. Anet wanted map completion to be something that anyone could do though as long as they put the effort. It was never meant to be something “elite”. They expected most of the player base at 80 to complete the map casually at their own pace. I really wish people would stop acting as if removing a vista would somehow make it any easier than it already is or that they might as well remove POIs or some other such nonesense. Map completion was never meant to be difficult just time consuming.

I’ve done 100% map completion and there is really only 2 HARD vistas required. I don’t remember where they are, but you get achievements when you get them. They take a good 10-15 minutes IF you know what your doing and don’t miss jumps. I believe you did one of them already.
The majority take less than 30 seconds to complete, with a couple taking 2 minutes or so to figure out.
I think they are fine where they are, the actual hard puzzles are not required.
The reason those vistas are hard is because they are actually part of jump puzzles (why you get the achievement for them). I did the one in the charr area and it was brutal took me a good 30+ minutes to get up there. At the end I was rewarded with a vista and a skill point, but seriously I don’t think that one should be required for map completion. It wasn’t fun…it was just frustrating. I know some people like the jump puzzles and that’s cool, but please keep the vistas simple at least. I hate jump puzzles.
Fan / Warfan (I want one for my mesmer)!
That would be sexy. It’s the only class I could see pulling it off well too. Guardians really need the scythe. They could easily adopt some of the dervish skills for it.
