If by “losing out on the Staff trait” you’re referring to IE ( +1 bounce) trait, that is being turned into baseline so you will always bounce one more then currently on all bounce skills.

The IE trait is universal, by “staff trait” I was literally referring to the staff trait – current Chaotic Dampening, which meant faster Chaos Storm and a drop of +5 condi dmg.

Knowing ANet, they won’t simply buff the burn/poison stacking and confusion ticking without nerfind something else in return. My hopes they leave the dmg coefficients untouched but there is a pretty good chance they won’t…

Yeah, I saws that in the PoI. It was quite weak but still, additional rarely capped by party dmg source is always nice to have.

I messed around with the new traits for a possible new PvE condi build and didn’t find any obvious winners just yet. On one hand we will lose out on the Staff trait and Debilitating Dissipation but on the other hand we’ll gain some extra condi duration from Chaotic Persistence and some good source of confusion dmg from Confusing Combatants. Seems like both nerf and buff so we’ll have to wait and see how sever each is before making any decisions.

Chaotic Transference will still be in play, so I believe Rabid will still be the goto gear.

Well I won’t even try to say I don’t fully understand how it works, just know I’ve seen you pull it off mr COE master I know it involved LoSing him in that first room and then yeah, not sure what after that, and guess details would be against forum regulations? Whatever, so my one example of where it held true isn’t right either!

Haha that 1st room is a special case where you cause Alpha’s teeth to walk the wall and miss you. It’s nearly impossible to recreate that in the rest of the dungeon.

I can only think of one case where it is a positive and that’s CoE’s Subject Alpha path1/3 where if you’re directly inside him you can avoid being hit by the Mordremoth’s Teeth attack.

Stacking inside does not prevent the hit. In fact it’s the exact opposite. Pulling him to a corner and everyone stacking inside guarantees everyone to eat the dmg.

Most speedrunning groups don’t actually stack anymore, it just takes pugs several months to catch on, instead they kill bosses on the spot.

It’s been almost half a year now and they still stack.

Testing mesmer/phantasm skill coefficients in PvE. Alpha in CoE is a great test dummy, too bad mesmers have no leaps so I had to walk through the wall to get to him. Same with lupi, I was testing his Armor values with different grub stacks but poor mes can’t jump so I flew. 99% of the dungeons instances where this was done were destroyed without completing them but guess that, according to ANet, still makes me an exploiter and account ban worthy… /sigh

First char, or first 2 chars in case there are multiple lines with same char + trait numbers sounds efficient.

• d/d/c = Domination / Dueling / Chaos
• d/d/in = Domination Dueling / Inspiration
• do/in/il = Domination / Inspiration / Illusions
• do/c/in = Dominaion / Chaos / Inspiration

If you want trait allocations

• d111/d111/c111 = domination 1-1-1 / dueling 1-1-1 / chaos 1-1-1
• do123/c321/il222 = domination 1-2-3 / chaos 3-2-1 / illusions 2-2-2

If ANet decides to give trait lines a number, it’ll be even easier

• 1/2/5 = Domination / Dueling / Illusions
• 1-123/2-123/5-123 = Dominaion 1-2-3 / Dueling 1-2-3 / Illusions 1-2-3

Maybe, maybe not. gw2dps was not the only “fun” thing I did in gw2. XD

Oh well, now with 2 months into my full time job I’m actually a bit relieved. Unfortunately, I still have 2 more accounts…
