That was a really good battle on that tower, the one in the video. You guys did well, managed to take out all of the 2 people on the map.
^rofl
Also, since it seems that alot of people here don’t know:
It doesn’t show up as crossed swords on the map when just the rams are attacking a gate.
So except for the small window when the NPC’s are being attacked and then when people actually start attacking the low health gate, nobody knows you’re there. And then when people find out, unless it is literally the only thing going on in the map, there is already a zerg nearby, or if it is near a WP, you’re gonna break through that gate anyway. It’s a fairly common tactic to use when you can get non-hivemind players together.
The fact that no one else pointed this out so far paired up with the fact that everyone talks here about how better skilled they/their servers are tactically and it doesn’t have to do with hourly WvW population totally makes sense lol.
tl;dr: nice
haha, you honestly think Maguuma doesn’t know about this tactic? Did you know you can make it so cross swords never show, even on guards? =)
You still got some learning to do bud.

XD fear Darkhaven’s superior tactics of hiding in bushes. Unicorn really wanted me to post this so here it is.
Yes we sat in that bush the entire time the door was being hit by only two rams. No one showed up and it worked somehow. Why we did it I’ll never know but this is what Darkhaven is all about having fun and being random.
Edit: Youtube finally replaced the audio. Remember the video is meant to be a joke so get some laughs and remember to enjoy yourself in the game.
That video was awesome! I liked how it was 7 minutes long and you managed to take a tower with the door already at 10%. classic! nice work!
I think a good solution would be to finally put paid transfers in the game. But give free transfers off the high pop high tier servers to lower tier lower pop servers.
It would cut down on entire guilds band wagoning to already high pop servers and encourage people to go the low pop ones.
Sir, that is a great idea imo.
Very easily.
The only ease I can find in your answer is the right to assume that some glitches were used.
I don’t mind mesmers and night capping, but I’d like to know how did you managed bypass outer gates all the day.
PS
To Northern Shiverpeaks.
There is no logic taking camps in our borderlands when your own is under Darkhaven control, y’know.
Relax, I play on Maguuma. Certain classes can glitch their way through gates. Hell any class in the game can get past garrison water gate by simply running through it…if they know the right way.
Hello, I’m guesting on Maguuma this week, so there are many things I don’t understand.
First of all, how exactly Darkhaven managed bypass outer gates at all three keeps in Maguuma borderlands? During the day it was small groups of 10 or so (those who attacked souther inner Garrison gates), after a big zerg took Hills like in two minutes and then I logged out.
At one point I spent a hour just looking for mesmer in Garrison, but – nope, nothing. Then someone said you can bypass outer gates using some glitch… If it’s so, then some serious BS is going on. Basically today I spent some gold and time upgrading/building/escorting donkeys just to see how a keep was taken in 5 minutes. Not a QQ post, just trying to understand how exactly Darkhaven did that.
Very easily.
I escape them all the time. Warrior.
To be quite honest, I am having a lot of fun this matchup now. Maguuma never gives up, I love it.
Dat water gate.
I can assure you the more devoted WvW guilds do not do this, but then again who knows maybe they do. Either way its unavoidable and it probably happens to Maguuma as well. Please provide a bit of proof next time, seeing random kitten take supply from keeps doesn’t mean they are Maguuma players, they could just be dumb WvW players that could use a little advice.
Are we now? Rall is a tier above us. When we faced Rall, everything was going well before the hacker issue came up. We held our own against Rall. Because of that, we plummeted to the bottom. Then we rose a tier. Then we rose another. No one knows for sure where Darkhaven’s “average” tier is. What I do know however, is that its not here.
Your night capping ability is what is saving you. Don’t worry I am not bashing it, I respect that it is part of the game. Maguuma has always had a very weak presence at night. We have always died off around 12-1am EST and dont start back up strong until maybe noon the next day. We always lose any lead we had, and any gap closing we achieved during those hours. I honestly don’t care about losing, I just enjoy WvW. It just boggles my mind that people say we are exploiting and that you should honestly learn to adapt now before its to late.
This is the part where you quote me and disagree with everything I said with some argument that could possibly be valid but most likely not and in the end we just don’t care. Maguuma wants to have fun, and that is what we are doing. If you think we are exploiting then so be it. Have fun your way and we will have fun our way.
Enjoy taking the high road and “playing fair” Darkhaven, you will eventually regret it. You should be thanking Maguuma for teaching you a thing or two on how to WvW at an upper tier.
I was in WvW all night, Darkhaven borderlands, and of all the zergs we encountered maybe 3-4 of them actually wiped us. Why did we get wiped you ask? because we couldn’t see you just like you couldn’t see us. Culling works both ways, we just adapt ways to be effective while its happening. Stack up, place heals, guardian bubbles, work as one solid unit, when enemy is disoriented burst out and catch them off guard. For you to say that is an exploit is just flat out ridiculous.
How can you honestly not sit there and watch people use effective tactics and not say to yourselves “Wow, maybe we should try that?”. You immediately get all pissy like little girls and assume exploiting? Give me a break. I had a blast in WvW tonight but apparently you guys didn’t…oh well sucks for you I guess. Apparently Darkhaven is so righteous and true they would NEVER use such tactics! I cannot wait until you guys hop up a bracket or two…god are you in for a rude awakening.

When I was a kid my dad used to make me pancakes every Sunday morning. I used to put boysenberry sauce on them. You guys ever tried boysenberry sauce? its a cross between a raspberry and a blackberry…very popular in the south (although I live in NH now). I miss my dad’s pancakes, he always made them so fluffy. He would add cinnamon sugar to the batter and they always tasted so good. I would always ask for 4 pancakes and he would tell me “You can’t eat 4 pancakes!” and I always said “Yes I can dad!”. I never could finish the 4, but he would make me 4 anyways because he loved me so much. Stonemist castle is under attack!

Tooltips in GW2 bring back fond memories…of EverQuest…the MMO that I played 14 years ago.
So I bought the Pirate’s Outfit a ways back, thought it was neat. But I honestly never use it and that kind of bums me out. I forget I even have it. Would be nice if there was a setting in the options to be able to automatically switch to town clothes when inside towns and lion’s arch. I would honestly be more inclined to buy more town outfits if that were the case.
Someone make the axe! =P
