And we can’t do it atm because no one can open…I think it is time to get rid of the contested dungeon entrances.
It was honestly only neat the first time, and it is just an annoyance ever since. Not to mention people just bypass it anyways with guesting (which no one in my group can unfortunately do).
Get rid of it ArenaNet. Neat concept but it just didn’t work.
I would like a potion that creates an AoE Aura on me. Whenever an enemy attacks me it changes their AI from that of an MMO from 10 years ago to the AI you expect from today’s MMO’s and it will adapt to myself and other players when we try to stack in one spot and just melee it down while watching TV. It would make the PvE actually enjoyable.
Heck you can even make it an RNG thing and make TONS of money! Like a 1% chance to get the potion from a black lion chest or something…you guys would become filthy rich!
I just find it very odd is all. If I was the lead designer for Guild Wars 2 I wouldn’t even give the ok for a release unless that was in the game. Attention to detail is what really makes an MMO shine. At this point they can’t possibly have a good reason to not have it by this point, and if they DO? I want to hear it.
Thank goodness you’re not the lead designer than. Waiting to release a game or any type of software until it’s 100% perfection is impossible. You’ll be dead before then.
Obviously some features would have to be tweaked/added later…but to filter armor types in the trading post, one of the most important features in any MMO? Not to mention filtering has existed in MMO’s since like 1998? Sorry but that SHOULD have been in the game since release ESPECIALLY if it was in beta.
Things like fixing the overflows, ironing out the karma exploits, fixing wall jumping…sure those were things that are a bit common to fix after a release. But filtering in the trading post is day 1 stuff. Obviously when going for attention to detail some things get overlooked…but not this. Not something that was in BETA…dear lord I can’t stress that enough. It was in BETA!
ArenaNet wants to get rid of Player-to-Player trading…which is fine. But if they want to get rid of something that has been in MMO’s since Ultima Online then whatever they have to replace it needs to be pretty darn good. And frankly the TP is basic, primitive and lacks A LOT of features that it should have. Some of which were in BETA!!! I just…what happened? What reason could they have possibly have had to take it out after beta? and for this long?

Alright ArenaNet…I think it has been PLENTY long enough. We need to be able to filter armor types on the trading post.
At first I just thought it was odd that a game would even be released without the option…but I shrugged it off. But now, no offense, I just chalk it up under incompetence. I know that may sound harsh…but for a feature that has been in MMO’s for many years AND was also in beta…I can’t help but think that at least a little bit. I am sure you got a lot on your plate but it has been long enough.
I have brought a few friends into this game and its almost slightly embarrassing when I tell them they can’t filter armor types in the trading post. The awkward silence followed by the “Are you kidding me???” is always a bummer to hear. Not to mention it almost instantly creates a slight sense of “I don’t know about this game…” in their minds.
I’m sorry but I really feel like it has been long enough. ArenaNet can you please just let us filter armor types already?

You could always write these things down yourself until something is implemented. Pens and paper haven’t gone the way of the dinosaur yet
That is true, and I have done that before, but I am very good at keeping things clean….except my desk. So sometimes I throw away papers that look like junk.
Perhaps I will be more ready with a pen and paper next update(s). But honestly there is no reason they shouldn’t have this feature. It really grinds my gears when a newer MMO is missing a basic feature that MMO’s had many years ago.
I am at 4/5 on Marionette Dergulator achievement and have no clue which Warden I am missing. 2/5 Arah Paths and forget which 2 I did. And many others I will have to guess on to finish.
Would be nice if we could have this information. I know it would not be hard at all to do. Should of been in the game since release imo…as well as many other things. But that is for a different topic for another day.
I have said it many times on these forums: ArenaNet constantly shows signs of not knowing what they are doing or how to properly reward effort in their own game.
The sheer amount of disgust I felt when I opened my chest was astounding.
This new pizza shop opened up in my town and I decided to try it. I got 2 slices of pizza with peppers, onions, mushrooms, bacon, scrambled egg, potato chunks and hot sauce on it. It was one of the best things I have ever eaten.
Almost every single waypoint I go to, the camera gets stuck on the waypoint. I can still move my character, I see his icon on my minimap moving but the camera is locked on the waypoint. I have had to wait upwards of almost 7m for it to kick back in and go to my character. Literally almost every single waypoint. Since release.
It’s fun when someone links [Lowland Burns Waypoint] for Shatterer and I go there and miss the entire event because I am waiting for my camera to kick back into gear. Sometimes I can use the minimap and guide myself to the boss and try to tag it but it doesn’t always work.
I have, on many occasions, teleported to Eternal Battlegrounds to take Stonemist with the current server zerg and the camera was locked on waypoint the entire time and I missed the entire Stonemist assault. I will try to get pictures.
I went out to lunch earlier with a couple friends. We sat down and some lady apparently didn’t like her food and screamed at the waitress at the top of her lungs. The waitress went and got the manager and he tried to calm to lady but she kept screaming and screaming. Then out of nowhere, she vomits all over the table and on her lap and starts crying uncontrollably. The look on the manager’s face was priceless, he has no clue what to do. There was nothing in the manager handbook that detailed what to do in the instance that a lady barfs on herself and cries. Right around this time our food arrives which was perfect timing. So the manager walked away and called the police, walked back to the table to inform the lady that he called the police and she immediately tries attacking him. Me and my friends are eating and laughing as we watch this manager try to calm this woman down in a professional way when all he really wanted to do was punch her right in the mouth. Eventually the cops showed up and ruined everything, they arrested the woman and the show was over. We ended up getting our meal for free due to the fact that we had to witness the event even though we absolutely loved it.
I sure wish people actually recorded their WvW endeavors. Apparently Maguuma, Blackgate AND SoS all wiped every single player they came across. No one on either server died at any point during this match up…according to this thread at least.
When you Waypoint into an area and your camera view is all screwed up. For me it can take as long as 6m42s to fix (I started timing it). My character can still move however, so I can sometimes use the mini map to guide myself. Like when I goto heart of the mists to take the LA portal, I can usually guide myself into the LA portal via mini map. But this happens to me all the time.
When I am in WvW, sometimes the zerg I am running with will suddenly decide to switch to EBG. I have ported to EBG before and been stuck in spawn while the zerg was able to take Overlook, Veloka, Pangloss, Ogerwatch and Anzalia’s all while I am waiting for my camera view to fix itself back onto my character and I can finally start playing.
This happens to me all the time and at first I just dealt with it but after dealing with this since release it is getting the the point where I just can’t take it anymore. I am considering putting GW2 on the back burner and playing other games until they can fix this.
So I am able to get other achievements, but for some reason Dawn of the Season is greyed out even though I often participate in WvW during season 1 obviously. Am I missing something?
My server never does the tower. Any sevrers out there still do it? Also if anyone is reading this I will try to put together a group right now in game, just hit me up.
Could also do Krait’s Bane if anyone needs that also.
The changes will most likely get me to quit the game. Not because I am a baby that is throwing a hissy fit that my precious Warrior got nerfed but most of the changes they made were either awful or unecessary. Since release ArenaNet has done a lot of things that just make you question how they could possibly be so dumb (they have done a lot of good things of course).
I think I finally just lost my faith in ArenaNet to maintain a fun MMO for my tastes. Disagree with me all you want which I am sure you will.
You would be surprised at how effective a riffle can be against a zerg with piercing shot. Of course we all know about kill shot packing a punch as well.
But, like people have mentioned, LB just seems better overall.
Best build I have ever used. Some will disagree I am sure, but it works insanely well in organized guild raids. Keep a sword/warhorn on your for travel. You can tweak the build for sword/warhorn if you prefer the mobility during fights and the extra blast finisher…but I have had much more success with axe/shield.
I can’t help but sometimes really wonder what goes through your head ArenaNet. At least once a month you guys just add something completely and utterly dumb to the game. Orbs (or Bloodlust as the kids these days call it) has always just ruined WvW. Without orbs the Guild vs Guild community was really thriving. Thanks to Bloodlust GvG is pretty much no more and I highly doubt you will add it anytime soon because lets be honest here…you are ArenaNet. See you all in <insert next over hyped MMO here>.
It is utterly absurd that conditions are still the way they are. I really hope they get fixed soon because my absolute favorite build for my warrior is sword/sword + longbow condition/crit build. But I can never use it because it is literally useless unless I am soloing something.
