I fought a number of you guys 1v1 a few days ago was pretty fun. Only one I couldn’t beat out of the 5 I faced (i think it was 5) was that ele and that ended in a tie. I was glad you guys decided to 1v1 me though instead of all coming in at once, that would’ve sucked.

Aww bony wasn’t able to keep kains bl overnight?? Lol, oh well we kept that wp in west keep for a pretty long time and were able to stop every single attack on garrison in kain bl after we took it back with a mesmer inside after you guys took it back early on last night. Wish I could’ve gottenUp today to see a wp on every keep in kain but I knew that was too good to be true :/ gj kain.by the way, is that wp from east keep from our little fun last night? Or did you guys get that recently?

So do we :p our server isn’t filled with highschool kids. Most of the people I play with go to work, college, military, etc. But I know what you mean, real life sure gets in the way sometimes.

We took first last week, and likely will this week. Kain loses a lot of people after the weekend for some reason.

And with some of us NA guys staying up later each week (I honestly think we are going to turn into the group that tries to hold off land before bony gets on, just maybe). But I agree that kain seems to lose a lot after weekends and we tend to have a lower turnout on reset nights and the weekends.

In summation, the purpose for this whole section is to say that those of you who are die hard Borderlands veterans shouldnt bash on part of your own community of players, were all a team and sometimes we pick up the slack for you.

If only there was a way to privately talk to the only person (your guildmate) that actually bashed EBG in this thread.

I’m not the only one, there’s been others in other threads and in game that have bashed on ebg. I’ll admit that I did bash on them without even considering that they might have gotten better though.

Edit: I will admit though that the eb ‘puggies’ have come a long way since I was last in there which was months. I was quite impressed at the number of people on mumble in the eb channel even late at night and at the ability for the eb people to actually listen and stay with the commander instead of seeing something shiny in the distance and leaving the commander to check it out leaving you with just that much less for when you actually need them all. I retract my statements about eb being full of puggies but that still doesnt mean im going back to eb full time any time soon :p. send those trained eb guys to our bl and take some more puggies to train zero lol

Not sure what all the fuss is about, mag has their zerg time yaks has theirs and kain has ours to say each team doesnt stomp the other with 2:1, 3:1, and yes sometimes 4:1 odds is stupid, why complain when it happens to you if you do it to us, somehow you doing it makes it right? I havent been on the borderlands much the past two weeks as our guild has been on EB, but I’ve seen maguuma use more arrow carts and more effectively than any other server since the change so I really dont know why they would be complaining about our side using it in any situation other than telling us how poorly it might be set up when they get to one they see. Most of RE’s builds are built for group battles not 1 on 1 or 1v3 combat so thinking that your kill squads owning us when we get seperated is doing anything impressive is kindof funny. To the hills save we did the 2nd time we only had 15 come in to wipe your 15-20 this is estimating btw the numbers in the keep were about even as they could get we just got the jump on you there so chill(btw you guys even claim to do the same map hopping to save keeps so why complain when another group does it). I have had some amazing fights this weekend so far but it annoys me that we cant give respect when its due, like when mags gets SM, they can golem rush no prob cause after repeatedly telling our side to do it there is little defensive siege set up, but when mags owns SM you better believe there will be massive amounts of siege in there and golem rushing for our side isnt an option, we need to get to that level of defending capability. Mags this kain is still reorganizing, to think we’re fully ready yet to be the opponents you seem to want, you may havto wait some time. After all this is the first week we’re completely on our own, kain defenders without false numbers.

He’s responding to what I said i’m sure. I never said it was a cheap tactic, you looked into what I said too much. I was simply stating that you guys did not defend east with just those things that were mentioned in the post that I quoted on the first page and that there were many other factors that came in to play when it came to you guys holding east keep and us losing it easily (within the first hour of reset, maybe even within the first half hour). But to everything else I agree we have our timezone in which we outnumber both servers, yaks has theirs, and you have yours I don’t tend to deny that or complain about zergs running a muck, its bound to happen since some times a zerg is what will accomplish big tasks in a time efficient manner I would just rather roam with smaller groups as i’m sure most here do. I’ll jump in with the zerg every now and then if I want extra badges but for the most part im running around scouting, defending yaks, upgrading towers, keeps, camps, etc, manning siege, all the boring tasks people don’t usually do lol.

He turns on his commanders tag and places himself in the Magumma Zerg position to lure unsuspecting PUGs to get gangbang. He keeps typing in fake information on Kaineng Map Chat.

How desperate you are … this is Tier 3 and you need to play dirty ? Be thankful that Kaineng is helping you keep your score close or u jump into Tier 2 and get demolished. I was in CoF path 1 with some outstanding board warriors in this thread from Magumma and they could not beat the portion with the flaming rolling balls and there was no mesmer. They then used some “magic” to teleport from the start to end to clear that portion.

If you guys want to have a good time, learn to play fair without all these dirty tricks. You come whine about other realm zergs and put them down when you are obviously are the type of players that are so desperate to win that you use any means. Magumma reputation is in tatters, Kaineng tend to fight Yak’s Bend as they prove to be better sports and dun whine or cheat as much.

I also noticed that the seige operators of Magumma tend to be unerring accurate in range and position. Either you got superb skills or have running some program.

You generalize a server based on 2 people you played with in a dungeon? its pve man… its pve. and every server has their share of hackers, ive seen one on yaks, and ive seen one on yours, i of course reported it and did what needed to be done instead of coming here or saying “kain and yaks hack, they must all hack” or something along those lines. as for being accurate, we put our best people on siege most of the time so they know what to do, where to hit, how much power to put on what, etc. its not hacks, its knowing what to do. To the commander on your server doing, sucks, i dont think any of us know him (atleast i don’t) but don’t assume we sent him there for some reason. We aren’t trying to win this tier we are here to have fun, we don’t even want to move up to tier 2.

thanks to the yaks group, BV i believe on our bl. Had some good 1v1’s, unplanned fight club in a horrible area near our garrison but it was fun nonetheless lol, I was the ele who fought a few of you. Couldn’t declare a winner on the other ele though, good fights again guys!

And to defending east keep with arrow carts and a few other pieces of siege, you did get the patch notes for arrow carts right? also, you guys called for RE to come in and help you out a few times easily outnumbering our guys on our own bl to help you defend so no it wasnt just siege and a few people it was more than that. You also took east keep becaue the majority of our player hadn’t even gotten into our bl by the time you got to inner, and there were only about 10-20 of us there after you went to inner. After a little while we had a little bit more people but had to make the decision to leave east keep since it had no supply and yaks was getting awful close to our garrison. Oh, and nice try taking Garrison (thats what happens when we actually have people defending).

Oops should’ve been clearer about that. Only the beginning of this post was in response to your statement. The rest was to the people saying that they took east keep so easily (litereally not even an hour into reset) and that they held it for hours on end. But my guild doesnt typically fight on eb (we do have a number of people that go there to command an some others go help the commander but that’s the extent, the rest of us go to our bl or other bl’s to roam.)

Unfortunately the score might make it seem like it’s balanced but in reality it’s not. We have multiple gaps in our coverage. Take today for example. You took our whole borderland earlier today with little to no resistance. 6 hours ago we retook our whole borderland with little to no resistance. We’re not really battling each other, we’re just playing catch up with one another with each other’s time gaps. Many of our players have noticed the lack of coverage, and the need for defense.

Yea I just noticed today, those guilds that left during the matchup really made a bit of a difference huh? well good luck either way!

I asked a simple question with a bit of humor in there, our forum warriors must’ve done some work on you lol. Everyone is happy with this match up because it is balanced, we are having great fights and even us roamers are having a great time now that db 2.0 is out of here. I don’t recall us trashing EVERY recruitment thread out there but you should take your own advice or pass it on to your server. Our thread has 3 pages and no trash talking after you left. I don’t believe its a coincidence, go back to db 2.0 and continue to have fun on your way to the top, I’m sure we will still be here when your server becomes unstable.

Well, you pretty much pointed out the problem. In a siege battles, Eles are equivalent to your junk. It shouldn’t be that way.

we’re not equivalent at all, there is no siege that has the ability to block treb and cata shots from hitting walls, and likewise we hardly do any damage to siege by ourselves so no. I’d also like to point out that we can not block arrow carts, balistas, rams, or golems. I dont see the equivalence your referring to.

I am fine with it. WoW utility should be balanced. Ele’s and Mesmers have wayyyy to much group utility atm and game control atm. The strategy to stop siege should not entirely depend on having eles. Come up with a new strat.

It’s hard to come up with different strategies when it comes to the coverage times in which servers lack the manpower to counter trebs. We do not regularly use eles to counter trebs we ususally just use them as a way to slow down their attack and give us some time to come up with a good strategy or placement for the siege we need to counter it but even then when we are without coverage eles are the only thing that will give us time to siege up the keep to prepare for the imminent attack of the enemy server and hold out as long as we can.

Thanks to the Kaineng Invader who helped out our garrison by destroying that northern node, I knew you all weren’t that bad of people!

This is nota good idea, i’m a little mad at the nerfs they are giving eles to tell you the truth and I consider this a nerf as well. Sure ele’s do not like doing this job of protecting siege or walls from treb shots but we do it for the server, to protect what keeps, towers, defensive locations, etc. that we currently have and we do it because we want to, we can easily tell a commander no when he asks for SW and go off and do our own thing or volunteer to do it ourselves. It is not hard to counter an eles swirl either but it is hard to get the ele’s doing the swirling coordinated enough to use one swirl at a time without wasting a crucial swirl upon accidentally doubling up especially if they are not in VOIP. People do not realize you don’t need that many ele’s to successfully swirl a treb or cata shot, you only really need 3-4 eles per treb/cata to be able to do it and im sure there are a number of players that use their ele as well as carry a focus. They are practically making us ele’s useless with these up and coming nerfs, I will not stop playing my ele after these nerfs, i’ll try to find a build that works out because playing an ele is in my opinion the character that I can have the most fun with but I just wish they weren’t going through with some of the options they’ve talked about in the State of the Game address. /rant

So, i’m playing and its during oceanic time, not liking the way things are going at the moment im bringing this thread back to the first page. To anyone considering transferring for more of a challenge I would consider this as the server for you, we are in tier 3 with hardly any oceanic presence which would be a great opportunity for a guild or a number of guilds to show other servers what you are capable of when faced with other servers like kaineng and yaks bend. current score for reset isnt too bad I just would like my hard work to still be there in the morning every once in a while.

We didn’t have the coverage tonight that we would have liked especially i our borderlands, we had to give up our quadrant in EB to take control of our borderlands and get as much upgraded as possible since that is what was killing us against yaks and db so our guild as well as a good number of other stayed in our bl and had to sacrifice eb since eb is just full of headaches.

Thanks for the duel to that [DD] guardian I faced on Mag borderlands above the northwest supply camp near the veteran worm. That fight lasted at least 15 minutes lol. Too bad none of us won, i’ll see you at the fight club :p

oh, we fought you guys in tier 3. it was a bad lopsided battle lol, wrecked both db and us we shall see how different this time around is. looking forward to fighting you guys again and hopefully getting revenge for the beating you gave us last time :p

Not adding to what Momento is saying since I (and most others in our guild) do not go into EB, I just want to say that we have nothing against any other guild and definitely nothing against Warsworn. We do however attack any other WAR guilds on sight no matter what server they are on, we have done it multiple times and sometimes will run through zergs in a fight to get to the WAR members, it gives us something to do lol. Its all in good fun, good fights all around though i’m enjoying the duels i’m having with yaks and db, hope we can get a fight club going tomorrow night.

There are those that don’t want transfers but most people (atleast the ones ive spoken to) feel that we need oceanic transfers to be competitive enough to fight against these higher tiered servers. As it stands right now we are in second in tier 3 but will never come close to Dragonbrands score if we don’t have transfers to fill in the gap in which our players are asleep, at work, school, etc.

Wow, this is so amusing on so many levels…Maguuma was talking big for so many weeks and now that there’s a tier that matches their server pop you’re getting crushed…GG Mag, you always were terrible when you didn’t outnumber your opponent 4 to 1.

Tier that matches our server pop? We hang all all coverage sets except oceanic. Continue your elfish hatespeak somewhere else.

Like the guy above me said, we are outmanned ridiculously when it comes to the oceanic times. This is the only way we are going to make this matchup work better and give dragonbrand the fight they deserve. We have the NA coverage, we do not have the oceanic coverage. We don’t pride ourselves on outnumbering people, we just have a better turn out then some servers and use our resources more wisely while having fun.

WäR is still here going strong. The ones that stuck through are having quite a lot of fun in this server. While we aren’t a prefect server we have improved quite a bit and are always learning. Right now we are currently missing oceanic presence to deal with the tier 3 presence. If we had that who knows how we would be doing at the moment. If you like a challenge and want to fight some Dragonbrand come on by. Don’t worry too much about trolls, i’m sure every server has there fair share.

Did we keep Mag garri last night? Tried to stay on as late as i could to help out our overnighters but had to get off around 4 AM pst after the group i was with took back NW tower and West keep.

Don’t worry guys, soon enough Anet will stop looking at your threads like ours. We probably have much more thread closing material in our recent match up threads then you have have had in your past few threads but it looks like Anet has come to turn the other way when it comes to Maguuma. Some reset night action with a few of my guildies. Some roaming, some camping, some semi big battles and at about 1:20:00 we decided to ninja Yak’s west keep on their borderlands with the help of a few of the EVOH guys. The video was pretty long so I don’t expect anyone to watch the whole thing, hell I wouldn’t even watch the whole thing lol. Thanks for all the fights guys, been enjoying this tier a lot so far.
