Mag does have a good NA. If you’re looking for fights in pretty much any other timezone, you’ll probably be disappointed come Monday.

Don’t underestimate Maguuma’s oceanic and SEA coverage, let them get waypoints and you will pay. Some of the best defence out of any server i have faced SoR and TC included has been surpassed greatly by Maguuma’s oceanic/SEA skeleton crew their response time was under 30 seconds hopping bl to bl.

In the end when we were facing Maguuma last week, i felt like Maguuma is hands down the no.1 server when it comes to skill and effectively playing the ppt game.

Shhh don’t let them know we actually try. It ruins our image.

Good try on that fight club at ruins of SBI bl for those RE dragonbrand guys that were there. I was the ele that faced your warrior. Then we got steamrolled by a mini zerg lol

They don’t have dueling specs, that’s why. I was the only one in the group apart from serane that does, and I was the guardian that dueled your ele for FIFTEEN STRAIGHT MINUTES -_- and your engineer later on.

That maguuma mesmer from swag that was dueling our ele in T3, hey there! Shout out to you, too bad we kept on getting interrupted. I was the guardian from agg pretty much standing guard and helping out with the 3 interruptions we had.

I was the ele you dueled for 15 minutes straight Haha. God ele and guardian fights go on far too long for my liking, we got eachother down pretty low at one point or another but could never finish the job lol. Either way it was a good fight and I definitely enjoyed it.

I suspect YB, KN, CD and SoS are all pretty close in terms of population and strength. So any of these servers thrown together should produce pretty good matches, but others moving up or down have more trouble making a good match.

Mag was a little too big for T3, but not near strong enough for T2, so just an outlier server that doesn’t really fit with others at the moment.

You have to admit though, Mag’s emote skills were the best.

The reason you are not aware is because these scouts have not approached your guild with this offer.

How many times have you been approached sol? did they offer you candy? I bet you took it didn’t you? Do you not get that none of us want to play on a tier 1 server? I mean tier 3 is even pushing it but. Obviously the guilds we have on mag right now cant propel us into t1, why you ask? Because we lack individual skill? Nope thats not it, try we lack SEA coverage. We have probably 30 running around at any given time during those times and actually this weekend it seems most people just decided to do other things instead of worry about wvw, because we are going to win anyway. I haven’t been playing that much recently, but generally we try to use the term ‘militia’ over pugs and avoid blaming them for wipes etc.
I mean I’m not sure if you remember RISE, CO or WM, but we at least respect other Kaineng players…  At the very worst I call them squirrels when 10 of my 15 man zerg go off to chase one YB thief  o_o

I know this current matchup is unlike the other tiers we have been in in that certain Maguuma players are trying lots of ways to headhunt our commanders or track our movements.  There have been lots of people trying to sneak into parties so they can track our zerg and even people posing as Kaineng players trying to get the commanders to link the gear they wear so they can identify them on the battlefield better.  This combined with the Kain TS being very unsecure means its easy to get paranoid at the moment.

I agree though we need a solution for the whole server to be able to communicate.

Sorry if you think we are infiltrating your TS, I can assure you that the majority of the players I play with do not waste our time with sneaking into other servers VOIP because it is just that, a waste. I can’t speak for everyone though so there very well could be someone in there that is listening in on you. And as to the commander targetting thing, we do it all the time. we can easily click through a zerg and eventually find the one with the commanders buff since the commander is usually in the front it isnt very hard, I have never seen someone ask for other commanders to ping their gear, that is a new one for me.

There is a quick and easy way to solve this but it requires your own proactive initiative.

GW2 allows players to join multiple guilds and but only represent one at a time.

Pick a time slot that you usually play WvW , join with a guild active in WvW at that time slot. Get to know the members and join their vent. Learn new tactics and coordination with them.

I would be happy to help recommend active WvW kaineng guilds if you drop me a mail with your timezone ( NA, EU or Oceanic ) with languages you understand.

lol, even kaineng players hate sol. I’m bored and I can’t sleep so I decided to chime in on your topic with this unuseful comment.

But in all seriousness I understand where you guys are coming from, I can’t imagine playing this game without communication, its almost not viable. Being able to call for reinforcements with a simple switch of a channel in whatever VOIP you use is much easier then looking through friends lists, guild lists, and whispering individual people to come to your aid just isnt as efficient or effective and everything runs much smoother when commanders, no matter what guild they are from, join public VOIP to get organized and try to cause some damage. I am aware that there are trolls and spies but there is a way to ban these people or mute them if they become too annoying. I’m sure we have had our fair share of spies in mumble but we do not let it hinder our communication or drive us from our own mumble to find refuge in a private VOIP server. I understand the need for a private channel or program for when you run with guilds but public channels should not be taken lightly, they are a great tool and can turn the tide of a battle if there were sufficient people using it and communicating effectively.

Roll over and drop a tier? I’m sure chip or sol can enlighten us, they are kains spokespeople after all right? :p

As for Maguuma, PYRO (by far largest guild in Maguuma, fielding a good 33-50% of their total wvw population every night) is moving to a tier 1 server (BG or JQ) this week. D/ERP might move with them or they might stay (these 2 guilds are pretty close). Not sure why anyone would consider them stable right now. Either way, I am glad to see tier 3 having a chance to stablize. The total domination by Maguuma every day is not fun for anyone, winner or loser alike.

Say what you want but our community is pretty stable, I’m not saying we are the most stable out there but a lot of the players on this server love maguuma, and even if there guild transfers, a majority of their players won’t go because they have made this server there home for quite some time now, and we are not doing anything other then playing the way we always have so us ‘demolishing’ the tier isn’t because of us but because of lack of other servers participation however this does not belong in this thread, but in our matchup thread, my apologies. JQ has been in Tier 1… forever, I guess? But they did get transfers into and out of the server pretty steadily. Still, if by “stability” you mean where they stand in the rankings, I would say JQ and SoR belong on the list, as Rank 4 is pretty much a worst case scenario for each of those servers. Same for BG, really. TC has also been in Tier 2 for a very, very long, so I suppose they belong on the list.

But yeah, it’s really hard to predict reliably how stable any server is after they’ve taken first place in Tier 1; I mean, if this survey had been done in December or January, SoS probably would’ve made a few people’s lists! A month earlier than that, and very few people could have predicted that SBI would implode the way they did. Now that free transfers are over there is a little more stability than before, but it’s really hard to predict what’s going to happen to each server.

We actually have a very stable community here in Maguuma. We do not rely on one sole guild to take care of a borderland or to take assignments on any given day. We roll with what we have and we organize ourselves in mumble. We have the same turnout every week and do not take any hits when it comes to weekend or weekday play because we are consistent. The great thing about not relying heavily on any one guild is that we won’t implode if a guild decides to move because not only do we have a good number of organized guilds that jump onto the public mumble and like to organize guild raids or just lead other players in bg chat but these guilds do not have a tremendous number of players that would ruin maguuma if they were to leave. Also i’d like to point out that the reason we move so much within t3 and t4 is not because of problems with our server, it is solely because other servers who have come by these tiers get an influx of transfers throughout our matchup or before hand and steam roll everyone in the tier causing us to go down or up depending on other circumstances but we have not ever changed tiers because people transferred off.

You can get better advice from dueling arenas where the winning is less from buffs/gear than from your class/knowing how to play it.

I’m not against wvw dueling but it’s just a sad indicator of how stale wvw is.

Regarding talent on Kaineng, kindly note that we have more T2 experience. You are right thou that Kaineng does not have the coverage.

You know that if YB focuses on you in NA times and Kaineng focuses on you in Oceanic times, it will be enough coverage to knock Magumma from 1st spot.

LOL being in a higher tier doesnt mean much other than you had more coverage at one point in time.

Yeah, then why is it that every time I show up at fight club I get ganked by every DARP and DFND there; and when i run into a group that doesnt, none of them can kill me.

And it doesnt stop at fight club, when I am roaming and am spotted I am automatically targeted and most of the time i can either get away or kill them if it was 1v2 — sometimes even 1v3’s

I’m saying that saying “we don’t/don’t need to do these things” is a bit silly when people are clearly shown doing said things in the series of screenshots in the previous page. But I dunno, maybe they had a good reason, like Maguuma was at their windmill and kept taking south camp.

From what i understand they were at the camp and saw a dead yak at the fight club spot. My guildies said he said “thank you” after we took out the fightclub people. so idk what was going on there…

What had happened was we were trying to start fight club. There were 3 WäR dueling a yak ele, when 2 yaks decided to jump in on a duel for a 1v3 and we were like "nuh uh, that ain’t happenin’’ so we jumped off the ramp on the windmill and were like “we goin to pound town on yo face” I told the ele to stand back because we get all blood lusty and start killing everything sometimes, it just happens you know? So we killed the one and as we were about to spike the 2nd, that’s when you showed up.

It’s like, you know, you see someone you kind of know getting tackled and stuff, you come over beat up the guy and he’s like “thanks man!” and you’re like “who was that?” and he’s like “the cops yo, I just tried to kill one of them and they weren’t having it!”

From now on, we should all strive to tell stories like this. Makes things a lot more interesting.

Big disadvantage of it however is that its slow, so against people its almost useless, against siege somewhat effective but it is an ele, we aren’t very hard to kill if you know what your doing and we sure as hell can’t escape anymore if you decide to come down and Chase us Haha.

Mods have closed down a lot of our threads but have recently ignored all the threads maguuma has had. This thread should have been closed down a while ago along with all of our threads with CD and SBI and yaks and DB lol.

Nope because he can easily pan his camera around to look above a gate or wherever he needs to look on the other side to Target what he wants, ctrl t him, or have someone in his party ctrl t it and its done. I know exactly how this works because I’m an ele and have done the same trick with dragons tooth so I speak from experience.
