When specifically will the exploits in WvW be fixed?

It’s taken too long to fix them, it’s putting more and more people off WvW.

How many more people need to send in reports on these exploits for Anet to actually stop creating new things and fix up one of the MAIN features advertised for Guild Wars 2. WvW as it is right is only sucessfull to those that exploit their way into towers, and keeps, and garrisons. There’s not point in upgrading or putting up 100 gold + of defensive siege on a BL or in EB when people will just exploit their way into it and wipe it out before the main forces get there or before they just portal people in.

I know 1/2 my guild has had it up to here (picture a 7 foot man with their hand at the top of their head and u get the idea of how fed up they are) and I know for a fact they are not alone.

Anet give us some answers to this please! Feburary I am sorry is just too far away, especially given the time of year it is and the new “Toys” people may get.

Meh, done with Yak’s. It’s just a zerg server. Both in numbers and mentality. I was willing to give ’em another shot, but ya.

Then rally your server up and run with a grp, and not solo like most of your D/D ele’s seem to do.

Have no quams about this at all, one big pool of servers to come up against, our EU players also say they have no probs in WvW playing on US servers. Besides as some one mentioned earlier it’s not as if they aren’t already making people play with a higher latency than others.

It sounds like the Ranger Trap/Bunker build some of my friends have been seeing in SPvP but I am unsure of make up

I’ve submitted a bug report on this.

We’re getting the buff, it says 25% on the Signet of the Hunt Skill, but the buff that’s on us just needs to be updated to reflect the change as it’s still saying 10%.

So, what your suggesting Arcadio is something like

if server (wins x 4) they move up regardless of rating?

If that’s the case while for the most part it would be fine, but a point in case would be if 2nd and 3rd are constantly switching from day to day week to week some might argue it’s a little unfair on those 2 servers.

also for the record, I like the old fashioned ways where if you win you go up if you lose you go down, add’s a little varity in there. But yes this could create big blow outs more often, but it also might not. Only one way to find that one out.

Unless you had 2 mesmers in there, you cannot legitimately snipe a keep in the span of a minute. Especially since no rams or catas were found on any gate or wall. There’s 2 gates sparky, not one.

Maybe you should investigate that a little further, as it’s 100% possible to have a hidden mes behind the inner door and be able to get safely out to port people in.

When was this?, I am curious as it looks how how BL looked about 20 mins after us, YB, had completely wiped Mag off the map on EB, and when the only thing we didn’t have, nor to my knowledge took in EB last night, was the overlook for Ehmry Bay.

Oh and speaking of last night, it was a nice 3 way fight we had in Mag’s Valley with 4 entry points open

That’s strange. It’s been my usual experience in the last three weeks that when not behind siege weapons in a keep, YB gets wiped more times than not in a straight up fight.

^That has been my experience as well. Thought it was a bit silly to see them post that a lot on the forums, but didn’t bother responding. Ironically, the only times they’ve wiped us is when they have more numbers. When the numbers are even, they don’t seem that different than say Darkhaven. I really like Maguuma since they did some interesting stuff with lower numbers when we fought them.

It’s interesting the perspectives that we have, guess alot of it depends on the the when that the fights take place, or perhaps where the fights take place. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying YB always comes out on top, just in my experiance it is more times than not.

Either way as long as the fights stay good we’re all having fun

Considering that Yak’s has very little EU/Oceanic presence, it’s not hard to predict that we will lose a lot of points during this time. Rocket science.

As one of the prominate OC members on YB, I’d just like to point out, with the exception of last night, our “over night crew” has been able to hold generally what we have, it’s around 7/8 AM US EST that things can start to go a little haywire.

Dont’ get me wrong sure we NEED more numbers during that time zone it’s not entirely accurate to say its during that period we lose all our points, quite often we have had under 200 points going into that time, then around the the 7/8am EST in the US when I usually log off its not uncommond for us to be over the 200 point mark.

All I can say is i hope it’s note the like the significant updates Rangers were promised for the NOV 15 patch, we all know how that one turned out.

I do like how FA are saying YB are too scared to attack TC, here’s the thing though, the last time I lead my forces along with another grp of forces into TC lands, was reset day, TC cut us off from the hills keep with their vastly greater numbers, then we proceeded to have a good old fashioned stoush st the lowlands supply camp with them, guess what happened next.

FA decided they were missing out on fighting people so decieded they should come and beat the snot out of us with their greater numbers as well, so rather than working with YB to give a better fight to TC on their homelands they with TC wiped us off the map, we moved to other maps, I kept looking back at the TC to see TC had then gone on to spank the snott outta FA.

If FA had of done a tincy bit of thinking that day, between us we could of held more of the map and made TC split their forces to defend as it happened TC were able to keep their force as one and no more than 20-40 mins later FA were wiped off the map as well.

This is why FA feel they are constantly under attack from both TC and YB, because they choose to be by their actions.

the reason YB dont’ really attack TC is because we don’t have the numbers to counter their 50 man zergs that responds to attacks with the speed of lightning, VS FA they will send 5 man 1st if they dont’ handle it then another 5 man team will rock up, then another then another.

In other words TC stamp out any attacks made on them very quickly vs FA who try to, and usually fail, farm badges before getting the force required to stamp out attacks.

I would just like to extend an invitation to all the YB PVEr’s to come out and play in WvW, I don’t like having virtually zero queues through all the NA prime time, longest one I heard was 1 minute to get into YB BL, and no where else, after the reset, and definately don’t like having out manned buff.

Jon Peters also said there were to be significant updates for Rangers leading into the Nov 15 patch .. we all know how that went…

So as far as him saying this weapon is ok, well ….. I’d just say find another weapon.

I will agree there’s fights to be had, from YB’s POV we haven’t had queues on any BL except YBBL at reset once that i’ve seen, and certainally none since that 1st day.

Those that are out there are doing great, and some of the fights have been great others not so great.

I’m not sure about TC, but I am definately not seeing the same amount of numbers as I saw last week. And FA numbers seem about the same as it was towards the end of the match up against them we had.

all in all while we’re all having a good match up, due to Anets stupid thinking, weekend numbers are down probably for all, but especially for YB and TC.

Hopefully after this stupid event is over with, although since it’s soo buggy it will probably be extented, TC and YB and go back to normal numbers and then we can all turn a good match up thus far in to a great one.

Credit to FA for what they’ve done thus far, may they be caught by the end of the week by YB!

Just my little suggestion:

NEVER ever ever ever have PVE events scheduled at the same time as WvW Reset.

To have queues one week on all 4 maps in WvW to having no queues on 3 of the maps, and with 2 of the maps holding the out manned buff is rather disapointing.

Any ways thats my suggestion. Oh and be nice if yor going to reset WvW 1 hour later than normal TELL PEOPLE! Ok now that is all I promise … For now…

Sorry, but the way this event has been implimented you can’t even see the Karka when trying to kill them, as they just don’t load, then again neither to 3/4’s of the players.

This has to be just about the most shocking implimentation of a game changing event I have seen in any MMO…

Thank god for WvW so i don’t have to put up with any more of this.

I do not care about the gear, other than there had better be a way for people, like my self, that solely WvW to obtain it, with out having to do instances to gain it. The current cost of PVP armor from the vendors is unrealisic, with how the drop rate fluctuates sooo rapidly depending on what role your forfilling with in WvW, ie scouting, supply camp running, defending keep / tower, attacking said tower keeps etc.

This is where the biggest effects of any new type of armor comes into play. Stats on items have a massive difference in WvW, and it’s very easy to tell the people who are current in exotics vs those that aren’t. Lets not forget those below level 80 with their scaled up items as well.

So again if your bringing in more powerful armor make it obtainable for all players, maybe via Karma since alot of people like myself have no need for it once we’re set up the way we would like to be, and have zero insterest in the amount of farming required for a legendary skins.

Peoples, of YB, TC, CD decent, for the love of all things WvW stop with the petty crap please.

This match up has some wonderful 3 way action, some delightful 2 way action happening on an hourly basis.

I will say CD’s Oceanic / Asian / Euro crew does seem alot smaller this match up to when we last faced them (as I am from YB), but those that are there in WvW are sill putting up some good fights.

TC today, it seems, have been able to get some more numbers out in the park during NA prime time to give them selves a little buffer, not a matching winning one but enough for a little breathing space, but I know from YB’s perspective, and from what I saw from CD last time we faced them, both will come and continue to hit you hard for the rest of this match up.

Let the wars continue in the BL’s and EB and lets not bring them back here eh?

Are others missing the ORBs as a focal point for WvW?

That is my question, forget the hacking as we all lothed that. Forget the buff they provided, they were just wrong. But I am missing the orbs as a focal point in WvW, with out them I am finding it’s become even more so of a zerg fest for WvW.

I am just finding WvWvW is just missing that something the orbs provided for me.

@Reonhato your cracking jokes about your OC presence being the same aren’t you?

As just about the only commander on in OC time zone for YB your numbers in OC prime time have trebbled if not more so from the start of the week. There is no way your numbers have been the same, going by what I was seeing on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and even Tuesday.

Regardless of that factor our fights with PRO have been great fun

YB folk less chit chat and more pew pew, regardless of FA deny’ing xfers in or just having guilds stay up til 4-5 in the morning on weekdays, their presences in OC time slot has increased.. Care factor of that is ZERO. lets just get our hind parts out on the battlefield and continue to kick butt, or attempt to kick butt.

Great fights are still be had in this match up, just pointless fighting them with text on a forum, when we can kill their pixelated bodies on the battle field!!

To the YB folks here, ignore the trolls in this tread that are crying poor for FA, it’s only about 3 people from the skim through I’ve seen, thus not representing the community of FA, of which 90% of them are out trying to make our lives hell on the battle field and not on a forum.

To those 90% of the FA community that are out in the battle field, I thank you for continueing to show up and put up some ripping fights, and may we have many more before this week is over!

To those 10% of FA community that are on the forums, stop just stop and back up your other 90% that are out in the battle field. There’s losing a battle while holding your head up high, and there’s losing a fight and crying about how unfair it is on a forum.

Lets get this thread back on track and talk about the good fights and maybe just maybe at the end of it for the last hour before reset we can all sit around vista island drinking and laughing and telling jokes and sharing the stories from our week of battles all while sitting on our esky’s!

There are two sides to every story here re the “night capping” you NA think in a game where 24/7 coverage is required that if your in bed it’s night capping, think about the European, Asian, Austrlian, New Zealanders, etc who add up to alot more people than NA when combined, get night capped by you guys?…. This is the arguement and it ends here.

Yes on Day 1 of a week long match up YB had more presence out off FA’s Peak play time. There is a long way to go in this match up and this is very early days, no need to start sooking about crappy subjects. Just remember what SOR did to YB when we had a start like this against them. Control what you can control and get out there when you can do as much as you can and have fun. Don’t come to the forums to sook about you sleeping on a Friday night.

Regardless of what ever happens, there have some awesome fights in all BL’s and in EB over the course of this match up thus far. Lets focus on them and the ones that will continue to happen through out the rest of the week as I am sure there will be plently more to come.

Not sure on Anets stance but certainally helps when people build siege up there to hit Crag/Cliff/Dawns .

Assuming that’s in your citel, you are able to jump up into that area from just noth of the eastern exit. Just you have to deal with invul players, and the legendary guards. Although you can take out some of those tasty vendors.

Oh and the best bit, the portals will work as well, (Have only tried the LA Portal, so put a cavet on the others)

On a more serious note very nice D from DH on CD BL at their orb. They were able to hold off a YB attack, after we were in the Nth Inner, then CD hit from the Sth after we were beaten off, then we snuck in after CD and had a another crack, and were held off again by the DH D.

This is an interesting fight, it’s a tale of 3 different time zones really, being aussie i’m only guessing at the time zones here but from what i’m seeing it goes like this:

DH very strong in US Est prime time
YB US PST Primetime through to Aussie Eastern Prime time,
And then CD’s Asian guilds come on just after that and reak havok.

The inbetween times seems to be fairly evenly matched, although CD seem to be slightly worse off than both YB and DH.

As I said I maybe out a little with the time zone because I can’t be bothered looking it up propperly but roughly that’s what I’m seeing.

Each match up will have it’s idiots, these idiots reside on all servers, thankfully for 98% of this match up the idiots have been minimal. Lets hope it stays that way, because the match is turning out into a fasinating one, and it will be interesting to see how it plays out when every one in all timezones are back working

I have the understanding that orbs cannot be taken from their alters by friendlies. However, just five minutes ago on Sorrow’s borderland Yak Bend was able to transfer their orb from the Garrison to the keep next to their spawn.

Tried to make my way over to screenshot some guild tags, but was too far away.

Unfortunately our Alters are being broken, and, on top of that, we’re getting Veteran Orb Protectors in and around the orbs when they are in the Garrison, who like to beat up the alters and try to beat up the NPC’s in the Inner garrison as well.

I’d like to thank SOR for the match up last week, and for the way they did, what Yaks Bend didn’t do, and fought back after losing so much ground on the 1st day of this current match up.

To the GOM guys stick with it, over time things hopefully will get better for your server.

Now for the YB Folks, Grow a heart and show some pride in your server. Sure SoR hit back with numbers, but what did you all do? oh this is too hard now so SOR will win and I will take the week off WvW. The sadest part of all of this, is not the thumping YB is receiving it’s the fact that the total lack of pride, of heart, of will from the folks on YB.

any ways I have left YB because of the lack of heart and pride people in the server have. So I wish ya’s GL with your future battles.

I have a friend, who got GW2 off a website, they have been told that the site used a stolen CC to purchase from the GW2 site. Thus their account is now disabled.

If they were to get the full digital deluxe version from https://buy.guildwars2.com/en/ and then went to https://register.guildwars2.com/ entered their existing GW2 info, will this keep all their existing characters?

Simple fact of the matter is YB rolled over when SOR started swarming like angry wasps.

the SOR xfers could of works just as effectively against them as it has for them, if only the NA Side of YB stood up and continued to fight. I say the NA side because I am seeing more people in the OC Prime time on YB BL than I do in the NA time zone atm.

Here’s the problem from a a YB POI, we have a 5-10-15-20 min queue to get onto our own BL, we get in there and we’re lucky to be able to get a grp of 20 people together.

Why because they see and orb sitting in DB owned by SOR and want to spend every living second trying to just take back that orb. They only stop so they can get a supply camp back off SOR to build more trebs, because SOR keep wiping out the trebs that were there because they don’t build defences.

At the end of the day, yaks won the 1st lap and then proceeded to play stick and a wasps nest, and now as a result the wasps (SOR) have come back with awesome co-ordination, and numbers across ALL BL’s.

I won’t mention GoM much because other than the 1st 2 hrs of this match up I haven’t seen a grp of more then 4 of them running around.

All credit to SoR for their perfomance thus far.

If any other YB people read this spread the word… Get your heads outta the sand and prove what us Yaks can do. We may not win, we may win as we’ve seen anything is possible, but pls pull your fingers out

@preech so when YB ran straight through the middle on an SOR zerg multiple times on multiple maps through out most of the day and night we were just hiding?

As to those that think GOM weren’t putting the effort in on the YB BL early on from SOR, maybe you just weren’t on YB BL when GOM had a 40-50 person zerg going around.

All that’s happened thus far is YB has gotten off to a flyer and that we’re only ahead after 1 lap of a 7 lap race.

if your refering to that video, where you killed the mes, it not YB’s fault you lot don’t look for mes portals, or do propper sweeps of things taken.*

If you have propper proof of said hacking I am all for showing them up, but if you don’t you just seem to be crying because you lost a fav toy.

long bow has no reason for such a slow number 1 ability imo that is what kills the longbow.

Players are only able to transfer servers where the destination server’s peak is at medium or lower.

Players are prevented from WvW for 4 days after arriving on a destination server.

The first suggestion enables lower pop servers to gain some population perminately due to players not being able to return to higher populated servers, and the second suggestion enables them to do WvW but not have a bikittenact through out that week, or first week when the two week ones come into play.

I believe the second option would be much hard to impliment and will also meet alot of opposition from people, but this would help not meddle with resaults for WvW.
