it also finally happened to me (also in Timberline falls!) after coping with this bug for Months! :/
When your character falls from a height enough to cause damage, and keep moving on a slope, the same falling damage will be applied multiple times until you stop moving.
Say, the initial falling damage is 2000, when you keep moving on a slope, the same 2000 damage is applied instead of recalculating the falling damage from your current location. This is such an annoyance for both PvE and PvP.
This is obviously a programming flaw and Anet has done nothing to fix it, probably since launch.
Similar bug applies when your character slides into water on a slope, your character will sink very fast and deep as if your character weights a ton.
These issues deal with the very basic physics of the game and is at the core of the gameplay.
*Side Note: I believe it has to do with the rate at which the server samples your character location. This bug might be caused because the server does not update your character movement fast enough to know you are NOT falling. On the bright side, this method reduces server latency in exchange of very inaccurate calculation.

In the cave, after defeating the dredge chief (“Directorate Chief Spalaxinov”),
the last step “Make the dredge chief tell you what he knows” doesn’t trigger.
The NPC dredge chief just lies on the ground with no response when interacting with it (it just says “Hello”, “Hello, comrade”, “Greetings comrade”, etc.). So the story gets stuck there.
Similar issue happens in Fractals (ex. Molten Furnace Fractal) too. Can’t loot the relics which also showed up in the loot menu.
Then how do you deal with this issue? Or you are still having the issue and waiting for the issue to be fixed?
sorry the issue hasn’t been fixed. just saying it seems to be related to yours.
i needed to try and reopen the chest several times to get the relics and sometimes it would never allow me to loot.

Dunno if this ever happens to others, but I think since yesterday my items sold on TP didn’t give me anything. So I did a quick test again by selling directly to buyers – still no money for pickup.
Sometimes even after the seige weapon is fully built, player characters can still be playing the building animation (sometimes even no animation, your character just stands there) which causes the characters to become stuck and you cannot do anything until the animation finishes.
This bug has been there for months.
One way to unstuck is to switch weapon, but for elementalists, they can’t.
It seems random that RTL won’t hit the target where it should.
This bug can happen quite often and unexpected.
The mob stands stationary and is WITHIN range and not doing any dodging, etc., but RTL will keep playing the lightning animation at the target’s location and at the end still won’t hit, resulting in 40 second cool-down.
It seems this bug can happen on any mob.
So far hasn’t got issue in PvP or WvW.
Superior Sigil of Battle on Trident won’t proc in water fights (yes, in combat) when switching between attunement for elementalist.
Had to re-equip the trident again for it to work. I think it always happens in my case.
Don’t know if it’s also bugged to lesser Sigil of Battle or other underwater weapons.
As those found in Fireheart Rise and other areas.
1.) They move around without burrow first.
2) They knock you down as soon as they burrow; the knock-down should happen when they appear from ground instead.
Agreed! don’t want to run to store and buy a small card with big box :/
takes up my space too lol. besides… arenaNet probably will earn more $ if they don’t have to go through retailers
It happens to me too. I rarely use it for long ranged attack.
Sometimes Forked Lightning just passes through the enemy even when the enemy and my character aren’t moving :/
And the forum’s search function doesn’t work for me either (Firefox).
When you jump out of water, onto a sloped rock, for example, but slides back into the water because the slope is too steep, you will sink very deep back into the water, as if you weight a ton. It doesn’t make sense and can be annoying at times.
But if you just jump straight out of water, then falls back in, you don’t sink as deep, which makes much more sense, imo.
