Long term goals means no, you don’t get it rightnowimmediatelybecauseIwantitrightnowimmediately. They aren’t impossible to attain. It’s just gonna take time, and all those who want immediate gratification are just out of luck.
Whether you agree or not, be happy all you got is a name change. Most usually, guilds are disbanded, not given a name change. All in all, your Guild is pretty lucky.
It is apparently also the name of a movie. There may be some issue with copyright. But do contact support for further clarification.
Yep, mine is the same. The “remembered” password doesn’t have enough asterisks, but still works whether I type it or use the remembered password.
Or it was a hacked account, the hacker who then removed items from the guild bank. Either way, Anet doesn’t restore Guild Bank thievery.
An hour? To hover your mouse over each zone’s name? Once you find the zone, it’s easy enough to scan around for it. Then easy enough to get the rest of your alts to it once you’ve found it.
Curious about what “compensation” you “suggested” the 3rd party credit card processor give you.
Submit an in-game report. They get the info without the flood of out-of-game support tickets.
I’ve been playing since beta weekends. I’ve a bunch of 80s. I don’t power level my alts. I started a new Mesmer to check out the “new player experience.” It’s been fun. I like the pacing, I like the leveling rewards. I like the new arrow guide for things to do. (Would have loved that the first time through.) The only frustrations have been not being able to do skill challenges when I’m right next to them. I hate back tracking. Perhaps for the features that don’t actually “unlock” but are in the leveling pop-ups, there should be a different icon. (Exclamation point? Light bulb?) Agreed that the four elementalist areas should unlock MUCH faster. 1 per level would be nice. If rangers don’t have all skills for pets right away, I think that should also change. (All unlock within 5 levels maybe.) The ability for players with 80s starting alts to have all the locked systems unlock would be nice. Of course, all those items that take a char to level 20 that we’ve been getting for anniversaries come in handy about now, too!
I received notice on my ticket that the matter has been resolves. Lo and behold, I’m able to buy gems. Thanks to Support for getting this straitened out!
Yes, I realize this in not GW. It was a great feature from GW. It would be nice to have in GW2. It would solve a lot of issues if district selection was a feature.
Odd bit of information about gem purchasing issues. I have a second account, so decided to experiment. I could buy gems on my 2nd account with the same CC that I get the error message on trying to buy gems for my primary account. The only difference is my primary is Gunner’s Hold, and secondary is Yak’s Bend. Curiouser and curiouser. (Yes, I did update my ticket with this additional information.)
Adding a drop down for district selection would be beneficial. As areas are filled, additional copies are made. (As happened in GW.) You could then have perma districts for languages. Guilds could choose a low pop district to run missions. Players could choose high population districts, or low population.
Also getting the “Unfortunately and error has occurred. Please try again later.” message when trying to buy gems with a cc, that I have successfully used in the past to purchase gems. I’ll also send a ticket, just wanted to add my voice to the list here.
Did you level those crafts on a different character?
Lovely! I also liked how each character walked up before playing. Nicely done.
48 here. Everyone in my Guild is over 30, some well over.
In areas like Dry Top where map-wide event completion leads to rewards, (merchant tiers,) having the events on the mini map would be brilliant. Just the small event icon without the AOE ring would be fine.
Yep, happened to me also.
You can send your new account gold from your old account.
As far as emotes go, you can change your chat settings so you don’t see them.
…and if you bring up the OP’s previous messages, some of the copied ones have his original name.
I’m in NA and play on EU servers, because that’s where my Guild decided to start. I opened a second account on NA servers and haven’t noticed much difference at all. ‘Course, I don’t have a super wonder computer and I don’t do much PvP or WvW.
Anet doesn’t have to nerf it, it’s only gonna be around until the 1st of July anyway. So far, every instance I’ve been in, it’s been pretty laid back, no nastiness. Yet.
Overall, I like the Megaservers. As an improvement, I would like to see districts as they had in the first GuildWars. Created as populations increased in zones. Drop down menu, you could chose which district to join. Guilds could gather on a less populated district do do missions, RP’s could do the same. They could even go so far as to make permanent language-specific districts.
1. Finish in the top 3 positions? No, and I certainly hope that is not a requirement.
2. Participate in the race from start to finish (i.e. you didn’t join into a race already in progress)? Twice, yes. Once, had 5+minutes on the clock when I started, got some tokens at the end anyway.
3. Anything else you can think of that might cause problems (e.g. back when the bug was still active, you got killed in the Sprint via sigil on-swap effects)? Nope.
I haven’t received any LS credit for the runs I’ve made. If it is only good for top three, then the tip needs to be changed and I will give up. I’m really not very good at it.
Also, I’m on EU servers.
There is a seperate achievement in the Sanctum Sprint group that is for placing 1st-3rd. I don’t recall the LS achievement saying anything about place, but I’ll check again. Thanks all!
I entered the Sanctum Sprint from the Four Winds NPC. Firtst time, I was put in with 5+ minutes to go, but still completed. I didn’t receive the Achievement, so I stayed in through the next cycle start. I Completed the Sprint, got the end chest again, and waited for the timer to end. Still didn’t get the 1st time achievement. Bug or am I missing something?
You also have the option of staying on the EU servers. You don’t have to switch just because you’ve moved, only if you want to.
It’s a traveling bazaar, basically. I see the cliffs as being lived in and maintained by the Zepherites whenever they come into town. Like a traveling circus, only with a bit of a permanent structure to use and perhaps build on each time the are in town. When the Bazaar goes away, so do the inhabitants. I like the fact that it is festival-like, without any kind of set date. The Devs can have them “visit” any time during the year.
Ha! You can have the extra shiny groovy bonus points!

Here are the legit sites to buy GW2 from. Use the drop down for your country.
I am SO glad this is coming back. It’s a traveling trade forum. Comes and goes and comes again.
Also, make sure your armor and weapons are close to or the same level you are. You get leveled down in lower level areas, but so does your equipment. That can make a huge difference in surviving and damage dealt.
I unlocked a whole bunch of soulbound skin weights on the “wrong” character, that were bought in WvW. I don’t remember if they unlocked on purchase or if I manually unlocked them using right-click. I am positive they were unlocked on the wrong character for the weight of the armor.
If your form of payment is saved, it has a limit as to how much you can spend. You can “unsave” it and try to purchase again. Other than that, there is no in game limit that I know about.
Soon to be 48. Everyone in my 300+ member guild is 30 or older, with quite a few in the “or older” category.
Except districts were formed as population went up. If there are 10 players in Lion’s Arch, there is one District. If there are hundreds of players, districts are added. Megaservers are doing this now. The only difference would be the ability to choose a district. Having Guild Wars (1) like districts would be beneficial to the RP community, Guilds doing guild events, and boss events. Guilds could have people “go to District X” to do events. It would save time trying to ferry everyone to the same instance.
No, it’s not legit. It’s a phishing email. Delete it.

Re: Dyes, from the first page of this topic, (a list of the eligible dyes is on the first post as well)
“Dyes exclusive to Dye Packs from the Gem Store will be replaced in the event they were applied to multiple characters on the same account prior to the Feature Pack on April 15th. Duplicates of these dyes will be replaced via the in game mail by May 11th. In order to receive replacements for these duplicate dyes:
Log in to every character on your account after the Feature Pack goes live on April 15th and before 12:01 AM on May 6th (PDT).
We will not be able to process any refund requests via Customer Support tickets before May 12th. If you expected to receive dyes and do not receive them by May 12th, feel free to create a Customer Support ticket at that time.
All requests for refunds must be submitted prior to July 15, 2014.”
Yes, people do try to get the current sale price on items they bought the previous week at regular prices. And where I work, we will do price adjustments for them. Anet has done price adjustments for Gemstore items that were bought recently enough before a sale, through the support system. Given the numbers of folks requesting refunds for changed town clothes, and duplicate armor sets, it may take while if they do decide to do a price adjustment for the OP.
I was glad to see Orr added to the Dailies line up. It was fun to see so many folks running around. The addition doesn’t prevent anyone in low level PvE from getting a daily done.
Yes, May 11th is for the high end dyes. I got my gem refund for 2 armor skins and one mask skin within 24 hrs after submitting my ticket. Include as much information as you can, and be very clear about what you want refunded.
Not the 15th yet Anet time, still the 14th, sorry.
I mail items between my two accounts a lot. If I send myself gold, I include a message and a subject about what I’m doing. Haven’t had any issues. Yet.
Also, do Shatterer at a time when Server Population is lower. Fewer fighters at Shatt makes that achievement a lot easier.
Brilliant! I love a game that doesn’t take itself so seriously all the time! Thanks!
Happened the other way around for me. I accidentally sent some gold to the wrong person. They wrote asking if it was a mistake. After I responded that it was a mistake, that person sent the gold back to me. It wasn’t a huge amount, but I sent them a token “reward” of some gold for being a cool person.
RIP Robert Trinitie, Merchant. I know the real life guy who named him.
