Guild Wars 2

We “completed” 2 guild rushes this week (got 15/15 through the rush) but in both instances we did not receive the merits, is this a known issue?

The only thing that I can think of is that I was the one who activated the rush both times and both times I had to leave before the 30 minutes timer expired (but after we completed the 15/15)

A lot of us are older and the “normal” 9-5 jobs, but we are still very active when we can be on.

Hello, we may be a great fit for you, a lot of our members are older (I’m 28 myself) and work 9-5 jobs but are still very active, so we are in a similar situation as you are. Most members are in PST to EST timezones, but we also have a group that is GMT+0 (UK).

We are on Kaineng and currently have 130 members on the roster (about 30 active in the evenings – PST). We mostly participate in FotM/Dungeons and WvW (my personal daily regimen is to complete fotm daily and then just go wvw), we also have Bounties and Treks unlocked and do those at a scheduled time on saturday, with some ad-hoc times mid-week for those that miss it on saturday for their accommodations.

We are a smaller guild, but follow/work with other larger WvW guilds and have ts3 channels in the Kaineng WvW TS3 and in Cyptic Omen’s TS3.

We really want to be more active in WvW, we have 4 commanders on the roster currently (including myself)

If I understand it correctly, since crit food now has an internal 1sec CD, the double proc off of longbow auto attack no longer occurs, longbow is still good though… just an fyi

Hey guys, I have never played a ranger in gw2 and have no experience with them. That being said, we have a few rangers in the guild and I really want to help them out with their gear setups and builds so that they can be successful in high level content.

I’m looking for your help on what the current meta is for ranger builds and gear setups that are decent and useful for high level dungeon content (Arah, Fotm, etc).

We are looking for more individuals to join us and possibly explore other guilds of smaller size that want to participate in Guild Missions to merge into ours, preferably making us their main guild. We can discuss ranks and stuff (we use the standard, flat ranking system: Leader, Officer and Member)

We currently have 60 members on the roster with about 20 active on a given night. We are looking to grow to just enough to participate and maintain influence for these new guild missions (we also actively participate in WvW), I’m thinking around 150 members is where we want to get to (nothing to big, more like a medium size guild).

It all depends on the situation, the biggest problem that I see with the build is that you have nothing to deal with CC, whoever you are fighting will just be able to throw down some CC and range you to death, thus making the build tough to use while solo. If you are running with a partner that can assist with condi removal and you can get clean hits off, it would be pretty powerful.

I’d be curious to hear any comments/suggestions regarding this build. It is designed to be survivable with decent dps for WvW.

-Swap out “Bolas” for “Shake it Off” in larger zerg v zerg type of battles
-Swap out “Leg specialist” for “Empowered” for Dungeons
-Swap out “Spiked Armor” for “Defy Pain” for even more survivability

I c what you are saying and it makes sense (we can’t apply our own protection), I’ve already invested in these runes so I’m going to run with it for now, I figured even though its a 25% chance on getting protection, it’s 25% on ANY hit (not just crits or whatever) so it is still a pretty good chance. The magnetic aura is nice too for the reduction in damage while getting away from sticky situations.

For question #2 consider a sigil that gives you a benefit on weapon swap, since you have the “Fast Hands” minor trait that puts weapon swap on a 5 sec cooldown, you will get the benefit even if you swap weapons every 5 seconds.

Just choose one from the list (link below) depending on your playstyle, I personally use Hydromancy in WvW on my Sword/Warhorn set since that is the set I’m usually switching to when going “defensive” and trying to get out of a rough situation, the aoe chill helps with that

@eternistarr I don’t think that worked… this is what I did

I knew I was going to lose my authenticator so I turned off 2-step authentication on gmail, wiped and reinstalled my phone fresh, re-installed autenticator and turned back on 2-step authentication on gmail, using a new barcode scan.

I don’t see my guildwars code in the authenticator app any longer, i forgot about my gw2 account sadly.

I just had to rebuild my phone and lost my authenticator, I’m still able to log into the game and the site because my computer is currently remembered but how do I relink my authenticator now?

We aren’t able to advance the “Explore the graveling tunnels” part

We initially ran through the tunnels skipping all of the mobs, the path didn’t advance so we went back through and killed all of the mobs in the tunnel, still didn’t advance.

I think browolf’s idea is in the right direction. People can /follow or /join a certain Commander’s squad and when that squad reaches a certain size the Commander icon will show for the entire server, until then the Commander icon will only show for the squad members

I don’t know if you were the one in my party or not, but this exact same thing happened to me… I was the one who crashed and tried to rejoin the dungeon causing everyone to get booted to LA.

Are free trial/invited players even going to be able to join the server that I am on this weekend?

There are still people in my guild that have been trying to switch to our server for the past week and Crystal Desert (among others) has been constantly “Full”

Crystal Desert has been a great new home for my friends and I. We would love to have you on the server! As far as I know most of the community here has been here from the beginning, I haven’t heard of many guilds leaving at all, so everyone on the map is dedicated and recognizable, which is cool.

Another WvW Shout Build, but focus is on power, toughness and healing (no crit/precision)

Weapon Sets: Cleric’s Sword w/ Cleric’s Shield & Berzerker’s Rifle

- switch out shield for warhorn for movement
- switch out rifle for bow for attacking/defending in zerg and keeps/towers
- you’re going to be in your Sword/Shield weapon set 80% of the time

Armor: Power, Toughness, Vitality (HotW Set) w/ Full Runes of the Soldier
Jewelry: Full Exotic Cleric’s

I really enjoy this build in WvW, I may not be doing the most damage to an opponent but the survivability is so great that I can outlast most opponents even in 1v2 situations. When in zergs I usually try to penetrate the front lines, being disruptive to ranged attackers in the backfield and taking down siege equipment in the back. You also have great CC (Immobilize on cripple, Flurry, and Sheild Stun), allowing others to put a ton of damage on an opponent (I run with thieves)

I thought DR were character based so I was planning on doing each HotW path once on each of my level 80 characters. Is DR account based now?

It would be nice to know if you were going to hit DR before you even started the dungeon.
