Can we please be able to use this from within WvW?

1000 additional guilds invited and ours was not, is it random or based on some criteria?

We’re one of the more active WvW guilds on our server and I filled out the application on day 1.

Not complaining as I understand this is beta and for testing (and you guys are working diligently on it), just wondering if I failed to do something on my end that prevented us from being chosen.

This just makes me miss GW1 GvG even more =(

Prescribed [Rx] is a PvX community with a WvW focus that is currently looking for players interested in an organized WvW experience on Sea of Sorrows. We have 125+ active members and we field about 15-20 members each night (around 8-11 PST – server time) for organized WvW. Members are also on throughout the day for Dungeon/FotM, Champ farming, WvW Havoc, etc.

- Active Representation – we understand that you may have multiple guilds (IRL friends, dungeon guilds, etc) and we don’t want to force 100% rep, but we do want you to be an active member that contributes to our community and to rep us while in WvW. We are also trying to build a stable WvW group composition so that we always know our strengths and weaknesses.
- Be respectful and mature – we do not discriminate membership based on any social factors or in-game skill. We will and want to help members with their builds, gear, knowledge of game mechanics, etc. We try to foster an environment where no question is a dumb question.

Hey all, my name is Obi, I am 1 of 4 leaders of Prescribed [Rx]. Although we did not start in Kaineng, Kaineng is where we grew from 10-20 members to the 160+ members we are at today. We were with Kaineng from when they went from tier 5-6 to tier 2 and back down to where it is today, we really tried to weather out the ups and downs to keep Kaineng as our home server, but the time has come to look elsewhere. This was not a decision that was made lightly.

More Info on us:

• PvX w/ WvW focus
• We field about 15-20 members from 7-11p PST.
• Enjoy running without a commander tag (although we have members with it who do tag) to distract the enemy and take pressure off of the main group
• Very strong roamers and pvp’ers (have many champion titles in the guild) and we actively sPvP/tPvP.
• We have a solid EU player base (about 20% of the members).
• Our guild has 2 NA leaders and 2 EU leaders.

Some things we are looking for:

• Strong and stable PvE and WvW community that we can be loyal to and stick with (we are not band-wagoners).
• Server-wide teamspeak3.
• Professional server website and forums.

Here are 2 builds revolved around similar concepts of gear selection. PVT armor w/ Hoelbrek runes (or Melandru for even more survivability but less damage) and negative condition food for survivability, Unsuspecting Foe trait and Crit Damage Trinkets for damage output)
- Unsuspecting Foe gives you 50% crit chance on stunned enemies allowing you the ability to run PVT gear for survivability w/o losing much on damage. Make sure you get your crit damage increased though (i’m using mix of zerker and cavelier in my trinkets for this)
- Shield is traited for defense and stuns
- Hoelbrak runes + Negative Condition duration food gives you +Power and -60% total condition duration (good offensive/defensive rune set), Plus the might duration increase is nice and synergizes well with the Forceful Greatsword trait (if using GS).
- Cleansing Ire is used in both builds as well so conditions aren’t much of an issue
- War Banner is great for group support rezzes, you can be more selfish and take SoR if you wish

Greatsword & Mace/Shield
- 3s stun with Mace, swap to GS for 100blades is the basics

- Sword for some mobility and immobilization lockdown for group, Hammer to stun and Final Thrust below 50% hp on enemy for damage

I would really like to play at native 2560×1600 but in intense WvW battles my fps drops to 10ish (it is fine in PvP and dungeons – I don’t do large scale dragon battles much but I suspect it would be similar to WvW)

Should I upgrade the CPU, GPU or both in order to get my FPS up?

They should integrate this into the LFG tool…. maybe they will

@ OP. I have a couple of questions. I do not speak for my server. My questions and comments are my own.

What kind of server are you looking for? T1/ T2, mid tier, or low tier?

How many WvW players are we talking about? 15, 30, 50? And how many would actually transfer?

In FA we have a stable community, but we need more coverage. Lets say RE comes to FA. Considering you have already transferred servers, and are now considering transferring again, what would keep you from transferring out of FA if we drop to tier 3? That is, why are you transferring?

As of right now, we are honestly unsure of which server/tier that we want to go. Obviously because of how passionate many of our members are about WvW, we want to maximize our enjoyment of WvW, but it does not mean we are looking into t1/t2 only. However, I personally believe that competitive & fun WvW matches can occur in other tiers as well, especially, with this new matchup system which we are very excited to see.

Like I said in the first post, we currently have more than 350 members. The daily RE WvW time we would have ~40 players in our zerg, more on reset. We always have players in WvW during the rest of the day, although it gets slower outside of our primetime. It is hard to estimate but I would say at least 80% of our active members play WvW. Of course some are more WvW oriented than others. I can’t predict how many are transferring but our main goal is to do everything we can to maintain the unity of our guild. None of us want to lose our friends during this process.

Tbh, forum posting makes me anxious :P (I think this is my 3rd post ever on the forum). I made this post for RE but Ethersin and other officers are checking it more regularly than I am. I personally do not want to discuss why we are transferring on this post because I would really like everyone to focus on the main purpose: informing others about who we are and what we want in the future. However, since now we have invited leaders from several severs to our TS today to get to know us better, any questions regarding our decisions will be answered then. If you are interested in joining us during that meeting, please contact Ethersin or myself in game to get more details.

How are you not looking for t1/t2? In a server-wide meeting Ethersin gave the Kaineng community an ultimatum… “if we move to tier 4 we are transferring” (paraphrased)

Maybe the current commander tag could be “ranked” up…. where the current blue commander symbol evolves depending on rank? This would be a simple addition that wouldn’t affect the current system all too much, but will give players more information on which commanders have been more battle tested…

Or maybe all they need to do is show the current wvw rank of your allies somehow. That way you could even tell if you should follow someone even if they have the tag or not.

I’ve been playing engie for about 3 weeks now and am falling in love with the class. Here is a 1v1 against a guardian in tPvP from the weekend. Nothing special but I was proud of it =D

They use infusion slots from normal ascended gear, you’re good!

Also they will cost a combination of both laurels and badges (at a discounted laurel cost) but we’re also adding more WvW achievements to the achievement categories to make it easier for WvW players to earn their laurels doing nothing but WvW.

Is this an indication that we will start to be getting laurels for achievement points? If so, those that are concerned with laurels being needed to buy these ascended items should hold off on the negativity until they actually release the patch notes.

[MkS] and [RE] are great guilds and I would recommend them as well, but I’d also like to throw our name into the hat as well. We are a smaller guild that do PvX and run WvW Havoc in 5-15 man groups as well.

I think we may be a good spot for both of you because we have members that participate in all areas of the game with dedicated groups doing WvW each night. We are an older diverse group (25+, males and females, etc)

I guess for the added condition damage from running 4 nightmare, but even then you would be running at only 97%

I did some rough calculations

Rabid Pistol
1190 Condition Damage
90% Condition Duration
102 Damage per sec per Bleed tick
3.8 sec bleed on auto attack applies 3 bleed ticks for total of 306 damage

Giver’s Pistol
1100 Condition Damage
100% Condition Duration
97.5 Damage per sec per Bleed tick
4 sec bleed on auto attack applies 4 bleed ticks for total of 390 damage

I have the condition based setup that many people run now w/ full Rabid Armor and Weapons (P+S), nothing new

2 Lyssa Runes – 10%
4 Nightmare Runes – 10%
30 pts in Explosive Traits – 30%
Rare Veggie Pizza – 40%

Total: 90% Condition Duration

My question though – is it worth replacing one of my weapons (pistol) with Giver’s to get that extra 10% condition duration to round it out to 100%?

According to the wiki – “Duration of conditions is rounded to nearest quarter of a second in skill tooltip’s list of effects (0s, ¼, ½, ¾ and 1s) and conditions which inflict damage over time (bleeding, burning and poison) only deal damage each full second. Condition duration from runes isn’t shown in the skill’s tooltip, but does correctly increase duration.”

So for example the 2 sec bleed on the pistol auto attack will go to 4 secs (4 full bleed ticks) with the 100%, but with 90% it will only apply 3 bleed ticks? Am I missing something in regards to the 90% vs 100% condition duration?
