Since we had a new build last night I decided to give it another go this morning. Worked my way through dulfy’s guide all the way to timberline falls. This time around it gave me the option to transcribe the shard up where the witch spawns. 100% sure I got this the first time through and was never interrupted. Always cleared the mobs first. So whatever it was worked its self out for me 24/24.
Could it has anything to do with the new build that came out a cpl hours after the new living story went live?
For example I collected a transcribe before the new build and its telling me Ive learned all I can but maybe didn’t count towards the achievement.
Ive been to every node now 2 times all 24 cleared all krait before transcribing still at 23/24.
I remember in a live stream awhile back A dev Izzy I think said they were happy with ele mobility being tied to the FGS elite skill. I love this elite and its my goto most of the time but Im finding that the 1s rooted cast makes it very hard to get off most of the time.
IMO I think making the cast work more the lightening hammer 3/4s cast able on the move would go a long way to improving ele mobility issues.
Let me clarify here. If a point is grey on your map that does not mean that no server owns it. What that means is, it is either neutral due to a server capping it or because the owning server has not been there in a while. When a point decays all the way the server still holds that point but it turns grey on your map. If a player from an opposing server were to be on that point for just a moment then it would turn neutral.
This means that 2 or more of the points decayed all the way to turning grey on your map but no one from an opposing server walked on them to neutralize them.
I’ve had 2 point under my servers control, 2 point showing as neutral, and contested the 5th personally and the countdown still went through. They got the buff. Was pretty sure during the wvw livestream Hugh had said you would need to hold all 3 point till the 2m were up. Why even have them decay if they don’t truly become neutral?
It is a bug. As was mentioned, Once the timer starts, it doesn’t seem to pay attention to points lost to decay. You have to actually go and stand on the point for a second once the timer starts. I could be wrong, but that seems to have been the issue when it happened a few time in my matchup. So please, just stop assuming someone is a cheater because of a small bug.
Even points that are being neutralized by an enemy player don’t seem to be resetting the countdown.
yup I’ve seen this happen a few times now. Mag took control of the buff even tho we neutralized all the points before the timer ran out. Think there may be a bug that is preventing the timer from resetting even if you neutralize the points.
My guess would be there’s no WXP reward for capturing a point to avoid rank boosting.
Imagine it’s late at night/early morning, very little people online on lower tier servers. Person A and Person B are on opposing servers. Person A stands in the point and captures it, then moves out of the point. Person B stand in the point and captures it, then moves out of the point. Repeat until their hands bleed from excessive cross server high-fiving and they both walk away with lots of WXP earned from doing almost nothing.
So dont tie the reward to the capture. Tie it to a defense event just like all the other ones. Then its just a matter of making sure the amount is reasonable. I can’t see trading defense events to be worth doing when you compare it to flipping camps, vets, and farming guards.
what does it hurt to tie a small wxp reward into it?! I’m not looking for gold or phat loot drops but we get wxp for everything else in wvw. Why exclude these conquest points?
helping your server by taking/ holding bloodlust points = no rewards
killing the harpy, warg, or wurm = rewards…
You can get some really nice burst dmg on the ele the problem is the survivability you lose isn’t worth the trade. We don’t have stealth, clones, or a second health bar to keep us in the fight. We had healing as our survival mechanic but it only really seems to work with bunker. I run 0/10/0/30/30 bunker in wvw even in its nerfed state its still the best Ive found. Im not throwing out crazy numbers but I’m also not getting two shot by thieves.
I think allot of the ele sustained dps issues stem from the fact that our auto attacks in most of the attunements are pretty lackluster. I get that the class is supposed to attune dance and pull off combos and such, but being locked out of air really hurts our dps. Personally Id like to see a revamp of our auto attacks over all 3 weapons. 30 points in arcane would be less of an issue if my vapor blade or impale did close to the dmg lightening whip did..
What do you guys think about the 2nd part of dagger earth 3 being a pull opposed to a leap? Would work similar to the guardian greatsword pull but single target. Magnetic Leap just feels off to me. I find myself rarely using the leap just using grasp for the immobilize. Personally I’d get allot more use out of a pull.
yeah I have to agree having to tag the keep/tower lords to get your loot is silly. Would have been better imo to put the new mats in the rank chests or better yet to succeeded defense events. They keep giving us less incentive to actually hold what we capture. You want WXP or the new crafting mats find yourself a train…
personally Id like to see arcing slice replaced with a block similar to sword offhand
Block the next incoming attack. Riposte and bleed your foe if you block a melee attack. Gain adrenaline if you are not attacked.
change the bleed to a knockdown .5s/1s/2s based on adrenalin level
Now say i pop a soulbound ring in there. Does it create a new account bound ring or does it remain soulbound?
As it stands sword and greatsword are the only weapons that have viable gap closers. Sword being mostly condition based definitely makes it less desirable in most builds. Greatsword has the best mobility of warrior weapons by a long shot with a 1200 range charge, a 450 range whirlwind attack and then a 900 ranged cripple.
Id personally love to see a utility skill similar the the guardian Greatsword ability Leap of Faith. 600 range leap with a 15s CD maybe replace the blind with a 1s cripple or immobilize. Bullscharge is nice but with a CD of 40s its not very reliable for staying on your target.
Its not the wait its wondering if I got him or he made a run for it…
Im not talking about stealth applied after your down. I don’t think having your stealth broken if you get downed while in stealth is unreasonable.
What do you guys think about stealth being broken when your downed?
Personally getting tired of standing around waiting to see if I got you…
I’ve played allot of melee classes over various mmo’s and one thing that was pretty constant was gap closers. I think one of the things holding weapons sets outside of greatsword/ sword back is the lack of a gap closer.
Bulls charge I guess is the answer to this but with a 40s CD its not very reliable. Having a utility that resembles the swords savage leap could make some of the less used weapon sets more viable.
