@Tosha You are not forced to respond. I know that you are supporting Anet on just about anything, and thats ur problem. I suggest you to place your support to Anet over buying gems.
Fact is anet is making profit by not removing bots. If that would not be a case, bots would be alot lesser. This ppl who sent mails, and who send whispers are not baned now and im sure they wont be baned prolly ever. How i know it ? I added some bots to lists 5 weeks ago, those accounts are still Online.

If they wanted to show they care for customers , they would for ONE day spawn GMs ingame and do huge demonstration of GM powers on bots. Just show would make , at least me feel better. Im sorry but even do i think u really give good point in that, its still just something that will affect legit players.

I agree with u, there should be tons of corpses in big fights but, sadly, GW2 is kinda like wow , carebear pvp game. Its not aion or l2.

Anet on other side have huge greed for players money and with bots lowering value of gold , its win win for both of them.
When u think of it , they are like rl country (anet) and banks (bots).

With what end … Im sorry but i dont think Anet care at all. Gold sellers , if nothing do Anet a favor – rising prices of specific items and with that rise $ spent per gems. If for example Dusk would be 40g , ppl would need to buy a lot less gems to transfer into gold then when its 400g. Simple as that.
I find this unfair but then again saying all thins just makes me get more flames from those who support this Anet actions.
Im really sick of bots/hackers. And as i told to my friend last eve, i really feel stupid knowing that some guys bot for a week and get enough money for legendary , while i do plans for farming enough gold for next months , just to see those same pricks rising prices to a new level .
Hate me if you wish but i completely blame existence of bots to Anet many greed grind to win policy.
Legendary is not legendary if you need to pay it with $$$, is it ?

This is where GW2 was to be different, no grinding, no need for xxxxx amounts of money, and no profit for bots. Guess what, its not, its sae as aion, lineage, wow…..

Bot problem is there coz of Anet. There is one reason to farm and sell gold – its needed for buying legendary weapon. There is problem , they made this to be farmed with no life, bots find way to profit on it. Anet dig this hole and im sick of fixing it over normal players back. What they should do is fix pre-legendary weapon price by adding it to boss drops on higher rate, and lower requirements for other mats.
Bots wont have reason to say and get ban if they cant make profit.
But u know this wont happen u know why ? They make more money on gems coz of bots, since bots rising prices of specific highly overvalued items.
And u r suggesting something that will affect all, again. I think its time to do something more radical then frikken blocking trades, mails, and gold amount for sending.
Just so u dont get me wrong, in all games so far /trade was one of most important things to me. I used to buy cheaper things and sell it a bit more expensive. There is reason to transfer large amounts of gold , every day. And since they doing it all wrong i cant even do a frikken trade to other ppl. And no, i DONT wish to pay taxes on kitten broker each time i try to sell something.

I would suggest you to go read forums. Different parts of it. After that , make ur own opinion. TBH i think ull find more fun reading forums then in actual game. And dont compare it to WoW. Wow was once a good game. GW2 is , well, GW2.

Personally, for ppl who like to do spvp or wvw , chances of getting for example legendary are = 0. Ofc u can say its legendary , but whats legendary about it ? Tons of time spent in orr grinding like kitten for karma and then getting gold (leching other players, buying gems, or buying from botters ).
I dont know about others but i find this system of grinding completely kitten
If they said ok u need 250 of each material, you need 1 mystic forge crafted weapon 250 pvp tokens 250 dungeon tokens and 100% finished map ok that cool. U did all u also farmed , but making game into grind fest its sad.
Btw THE ONLY reason bots still bot around , are the prices of legendary weapons. Nothing else is expensive. So there u go u have grind fest u have bots , but after all its completely Anet fault.

Restricting players to trade or mail gold is kitten im sorry. Why to make normal players have issues just coz they are unable to work out problems themself. Im sorry but even most primitive private servers got ingame GMs and that works like charm almost always. Why is so hard to get few GMs to do this work properly ? And pls dont say that GMs cant cover it coz i personally know how many bots can one GM get in just few days.

So im here to ask, has anyone else noticed this.
Last eve i got two mails and even one whisper from some of gold sellers. Difference from usual was , they were offering me pre-legendary exotic weapons for a price. By chance i did check broker moment after that , and i seen that, one that i was saving for, Dusk, jumped from 340 that was price night before to 430. Not just that but i do remember there was more then 10 Dusk swords listed for prices from 340 – 360 just one eve before.
So is it just me that noticed this or is it really come to that , they cant sell huge amounts of gold now so they move to buying off “important” stuff from broker.
Btw, how to report this, how to report ppl who are /w me with offers , since im sure there are ppl who are having over 10k gold and selling ot for rl money, but i dont have ways to report them (if they /w and u locate them in LA, they are not really botting).

Man well said in few words. There is nothing in GW2. I seen this ppl write official game content every time when someone ask question OP did. Why ? Thats not what he asked. We all know what anet was using to promote this game. Ppl are asking now WHERE is that ?
Coz, dungeons are terrible, spvp is pathetic and wvw is doorbashing. So where is this FUN that was promoted ??

I play war and each time i say war is op ppl rage at me. Its also funny how some ppl actually QQ about thief dmg , buthardly anyone comes to say , hey war doing 6-7k crits is so normal 15k crits , normal …
And really bragging about war dmg , on thief part of form, lame.

Since i really dont wish to start new topic , and its a bit related to this ill post it here.
Few weeks ago, i was having some conv with a guy who got one of first legendary weapons i seen. So after some time we talked he gave me suggestion to visit some, sites , with lets say not so legal tools. He showed me, that he was able to obtain over 10k gold, tons of karma and finish the map in just matter of days.
I did check on those tools on few other places, and ye those are working (i cant prove it 100% since i wont go into really testing it but im 99.9% sure they are working out there).
So i collected info that got from game (screens, convo), i also got links to sites with complete guides for hacking/boting, and we reported it.
Here the disappointing part, account to this specific player is still active and online, and i was able to track him down again.
So how to feel about this ? I feel disappointed , mostly coz i am helping my friend to get legendary, and we know how much effort we placed into this. Then we see this other ways of doing and, and kinda right now i feel powerless to do anything but also really disappointed.
Sorry for wall of txt, just wanted to share.

T3 sets look cool , but its , fashion, and with that comes the price. I find that its insanly overpriced, but as i said fashion comes with the price, i respect that.
On other side Aarskringspier.4702 said he made by lvl 59 u can make 21g. Well its true , but if you involve RNG. We had first time player in event , lvl 6 on 16 (not sure really) thief who got two insanely overpriced items his first run.
But unless this RNG is your friend , there is really little chance for making that money.
Only thing i find a bit bad about t3 is that some classes sets are kinda ugly, they should maybe add some more choices, but as for prices, as i said, its fashion.

LOL. Its not even close to skill based mmo, its not even mmo for that matter.

What is “legendary” when 90% of needs for it can be bought for RL money ??? Buy gems for 1000$ buy everything from broker and take some days to farm karma. IS that legendary or is that rich kids way to get items ? How long will pass till they add karma to BLT ? Its clear that nothing here is as legendary as buying gems. And thats clearly where they wish you to be.

PVP, no open world pvp , wvw is zerg on zerg, arena is boring, there is no free premade team arena fights, overall pvp is really bad. IA on world bosses, legendary is a grind joke (nothing legendary about it ), RNG. Support.

I see clovers coming to gem store any day now.

Its simple, more money you lose (TP, BLT…) higher chance wil lbe for you to buy gems and exchange for gold.

Not having trade is idiotic. But also supports all other claims that GW2 is in any way forcing ppl to buy gems. Like everything i seen so far is purely focused to GW1 fans (im not i think it was terrible game) and Gem store. But since there are ppl willing to trow away 700$ on gems, oh well ….

CT was only fun thing in all this Halloween lol . I hope they make more of it and harder. This game srsly need some hard but rewording content.

For the game with o much potential, this was terrible event. Except phenomenal CT, everything else was focused on GW1 fans and money making. But that’s general problem with GW2 anyway, ppl who like it are in most cases GW1 fans, coz person who played Lineage, Aion, Ultima, EQ or WoW can see that this game is missing content, and a lot of it.
So + for CT , would b nice to see same , if not harder puzzles in future.

Well, many “players” are playing 24/7 and have no problems with gold grind. If you add to that some nice spot for karma gain, well its like, really fast.
And then u have it, you are new kid , unknown to anyone but u can sit in LA and brag about it.
Sarcasm aside, its really nice skin and just that alone is cool. I think its not worth farming it alone (fair) but if you have friends to help you and support you , it is kinda , legendary

I did it on 3 of my chars. Only problem i had was huge hate towards my Charr. Ppl of GW2 are racist !

As someone said, if they remove stupid RNG, i would not mind to give it a try. But on other hand if they would do that it would be srsly not cool to ppl who did it so far.

101 run, 2 exo drops none good. On other side, friend who just started GW2, got 2 of the unique drops in 7 runs.
Not just that i dont agree with RNG i also fully agree with ppl who wasted tons of money to craft one just so that its now given to everyone randomly, completely ignoring effort spent.

I remember , back in days, ^.^, on some overcrowded L2 servers, gms would log randomly and do massive bans for bots and hackers. So many ppl were feared of ban, that even talking about bots/and hacks was not common. Rumors were, if you say “bot” or “hack” on chat , u will get ban.
I really think that one of the problems is that ppl are not afraid of ban at all. And why would they be, they see ppl running with legendary after a week or two (i use this as example coz its one of the things that are not possible to obtain legit in a week or two) or similar, bragging about it , and nothing happens. Same goes for 100% map explorers , and so on.
I find that ppl only can follow the rules if there are hard consequences for not doing so. Sadly , if the fear is the only way to fix things, then let it be so.

I liked it. It was one of best things i seen in GW2 so far. Frustrating , ye sure, but its MAD King tower, so what to expect.

I gave up on my ranger. Friends who were focused on it , quit weeks ago. So now i have no problems with it, even more, when in wvw and i see ranger with my war i switch to rifle and do auto attack (sometimes i am even forced to use skill :O ).
Well , its not really true, sometimes i do log my ranger, to pick up money from broker, he is kinda faster, and since i keep him in LA he is always close to broker.

None. I wish for current dragons to get some AI, and good one. Why go with New content when current is not fun.

Well here the one of best MMO comics i seen so far. They did it all, from wow, l2, aion, even gw. I hope u like it.
Some jokes actually remind me of actuall GMs, developers or producer companies.

Private servers for many games, took players to do same.
Results were in most cases , phenomenal. almost no bots/hackers and such.
Im sure they wont take help of players but would +1 for that call for anyone willing to make game better.
And tbh, GMs do make mistakes but, those mistakes can be fixed, doing nothing is far worse. And to be clear, scripts and hack protection, will never, ever work as close as good as human GM. We can love them or hate them but fact is GMs are needed and (far more then forum mods for that matter) and respected.

How difficult is to log GM, go specific report areas and BAN naked ppl running in line ? In old days even private server have no problem at all to deal with this.
And someone said how i think its ok to bot/hack. Well, if Anet does nothing or almost nothing to get this ppl removed, and worse if there are community that support Anet on doing nothing to deal with this, then i am guessing everyone are ok with how it is now.
ONE GM , logging randomly to different server would do a lot more then all this “we are working on it” talk. If nothing , botters and hackes would have some fear of getting caught.
Only reason i care to post about this bs anymore is that i place effort into things like explore map, or helping friends get legendary, just to see that some pricks are getting is in few days without any problems using hacks and bots. Its not fair to all legit players, and by supporting anet on doing nothing about it, is just not helping at all.

So the fact that u can use bots and hack , and not get ban is completely ok right ? As is fact that to anet, boters/hack users are same as i , who try play legit. Since u all chose to ignore this problems i guess you deserve game as it is .

There is difference, if u rob bank, and take a bag of money with u in middle of town and brag about it, u will PROLLY get arrested.

So can anyone actually tell me why not to bot ? I do not say i support this but if you think of it :
1. Bots get tons of gold and can work wile u do other stuff, like , sleep/work/school.
2. Bots do not get removed from game, they are free to farm.
3. Bots , by some count can make 50-100k karma per day and from 100-200g , per bot.
4. Unrelated to boting , some tools let play char port all over world in instant. Even coordinates for all points are there.

So if i wonna get legendary, why not simply let bot do it for me wile i sleep ?

Is this all right with everyone ? Is this common thing now ?
We ALL know this happens, we know ppl having over 20k gold in pack (must be from legit play) and no one is doing anything.

Something is really wrong here and i feel like no one really care.

With all do respect ColinJohanson, have you even read the gamespy article ? What does your numbers mean to us, players, if we login to see samo old names on same spots day by day week by week ?
And im sorry but i have no idea what GM team we are talking about here, since, even if there is 1 GM per server this would not be this big issue as it is now.
Even if you start tomorrow, what about broken economy ?
Lastly, i can understand its hard to deal with bots issue, but i highly disprove how by far more effort is invested into closing anti bots topics (or any type of complain to Anet) and making sometimes silly infractions to posts, then on real issues GW2 have.

Seems to me that you care less for legit players then for boters and hackers. Im sure also you are aware of tools for porting (with locations now) flying, speed hacking, yet still nothing is done ?
You are also aware there are many players with over 10k gold , legendary weapons (i say this coz we all know whats needed to make one) running around , even bragging on lfg , yet they all somehow did made this solo in 2-3 weeks ?
And how this look to others ? I see it as , go hard way and be legit, or google a bit and finish some things “easy” way, no harm will you face.

The problem is EXACTLY this what you said – u got 2 rare items in 6 runs. Many other ppl who did it 10-20-30 times got nothing but trash. That is problem. Problem is that lvl 5 player who dont know anything about event login , join random party and gets 2 rare items worth almost 100g.
That is problem why ppl are pissed on Anet . They dont give a …… about effort, they make everything RNG.

RNG ruling this game together with bots. Placing effort into doing for example this event alone, as reward gives u 2 blue items, wile on the other side lvl 5 ppl who just started , are getting loot.
Placing any effort in GW2 is dumb. Random (if any) login is kinda ok , but placing effort is so wrong thing to do.

Well ill ping this topic once again , maybe some ppl would like to look at it now.
