How does ranger kill mobs ?
He uses his weapon and wait for mob to die from heart attack.

I love clueless ppl. I suggest u to make ranger and invest 100-200$ in it and love them more.

Since I noticed they don’t care at all to remove bots from game, what makes u think they will hear us here ? It’s kinda clear to me that someone here does not care.

Ranger was nerfd since start but ranger community woke up only when they lost last dps option. Imo, its more our fault then anyone’s else.

I agree on SB dont get me wrong , i just wonna see this worked on as ranger complete rework since its needed. Im SB fan, but i wish i can work on close combat with sword/dagger. Some ppl wish to have bestmastery builds (like in a way wow had). Others just wish trap and greatsword slap.
Fact is SB was only weapon usable. That was NOT right in first place but we said nothing , we did what they made us do , get SB.
Dont expect others to report and fight for ur class, devs dont play this game (at least not as rangers clearly ). Its up to us to pint out ALL flaws and its up to us to think even on builds that we dont play. We dont wonna have “best build” since that does not make us unique and i bet thats what everyone wish to be, unique.

Ill again point out there are bigger issues here then just SB. SB is just example of ONLY viable weapon for ranger. Even if they fix it , it will still give us ONE weapon choice (most would be happy with even that ) but fact is there are ppl who actually wonna play with other weapons.
Ill repeat that most of us are FORCED into SB builds even do we hoped to try some other solutions. Ranger problem must be worked on overall since this is not just SB weapon problem.

Im sorry but i feel this even w/o QZ. Since i play war and ranger, after killing 10-20 mobs on one class and other u feel how big diff is in effort spent and time spent.

Problem i have , and prolly many legit players also , are bots.
They not just ruin economy they are taking more and more farming spots , and wiping all those mobs out.
Few days ago (5) i reported set of 5 bots at specific zone. It was clear to not just me but to at least 10 more ppl i asked to check and report, those “players” were bots (5 rangers running up and down with same pets ….).
After 3 days bots were still there doing same thing. That made me try ask help on forum. I ended up with “Tx for reporting, this topic will be closed”.
Now is 6th day from then. Same bots are still on same location , wile some more appeared on other spots.
So im asking of , anyone, to really tell me what to do. Shoulkittenep reporting bots ? Can i somehow follow status of my report ? Will my report be even considered ?
I really had patience for some time, but i see that this starts affecting economy, affecting ppl (bots really stress me out, not coz i see them , but coz i see them doing it all the time and not getting removed) and affecting my mailbox – every time i login its full of trash “buy gold” mails.
I pls you again help me help you address this faster coz i really start to feel like playing legit is making me look like kitten.

What can i do to make this problem go in proper timeframe ?

Main problem is that we didnt make fuss since start. sword/dagger , sword/torch, axe/torch, axe/horn, sword/horn… All this build were and are not viable MAIN weapon builds. 95% of ppl who wanted to play ranger were forced into SB builds.
If you check war for example almost any build is viable for pvp and pve – rifle, axe/axe, greatsword, axe/shield…. and so on.
What war “community” do is COMPLAIN ALL TIME with silly stuff like "we need higher dps, we need 10k crits every 2 sec , and so on. And u know what they get it.
Right now, when someone figure out at least 1 build that work so so good, we will go silent and prolly call each other noobs in case some person chose different setup. We already do this to ourself, just look what we say to ppl who try go beast mastery, or LB builds or anything different then SB ….
Currently, i fully geared up my ranger and right now i use it to farm my bank and broker in LA. Sword/Horn is great set for LA.

Took a couple of days to get debugging in on this. It is in fact a 40ms difference which equates to about 7% less damage when spamming 1. We made this change because it was creating some animation bugs to leave it where it was. It was also encouraging just spamming 1 which isn’t the most fun gameplay. If our data shows shortly that shortbow is now not effective we can certainly address that, but would do so by improving other skills on that weapon rather than by reintroducing the spam on 1 and the bugs that it was creating.

He didnt even took time to test hoe class work. Really after what i read from him im clearly done with this same as im done with reporting bots. Its waste of time and doesnt change anything. There is huge lack of knowledge and support and its just pathetic.

I think that ppl just look for reason to quit, He chose mystic forge as im chosing ranger nerf. Ppl just need a reason.

I use dual fists now. Its viable for my “face palms” build.
On topic, what other build. There is no other build that deal dmg for ranger in fact all i dont know why there is none.
Just compare this : dual swords on ranger and dual axes on war. Its so, same , lolz.

Flyover zone – dragon attacks players while flying over map, dealing huge dmg. Make it feel like its frikken dragon over ur head, make ppl FEAR dragon over their head.

I am using AMD Athlon II X4 620 with ati 5770 video card, 8GB ram.
Playing GW2 was ok unless i try to do WvW or Dragon events.
In both those cases i have huge delay loading other ppl sprites , and that leads me ending up inside zerg before i even knwo they are there.
Ah yes i play on Sony HD tv 32" in 1920:1080
So i need help to try fix this somehow .

My idea is to go with one of those :
Gigabyte gtx 560 or gigabyte ati radeon 6870

What would you guys say , wil lthis help me or maybe ill need more.
Since my current budget is cc 250 euro i need solution with taht if possible ofc.

My main is War full geared, and i just finished My PVE/WvW gear for ranger. I feel what u say. War is sooooo much stronger. Its clear when u look party for pve for example if you are ranger ppl wont take u. If you are war ull get party in no time. In WvW, wor is super long lasting, huge dmg and high hp.
Overall u r so right and even do i like my war and i would hate it nerfd, what you said is really true.

I dont think there is any type of “hate” per say. And honestly i play my war and guardian more then ranger. But i feel that rangers are underpowered. In WVW most easy targets (overall) are rangers and elementalist. Hardest targets are guardians and war. Thiefs are out of scope mainly coz there is huge diff between good thief and bad one.
So as fact fun fights that i win or lose are with guardian and war , and when i attack rangers and elementalists its ALWAYS coz i know it is easy fight. So honestly i give my respect to players trying hard to be good on ranger and elementalist coz they really have hard job to do so.
Im really hoping that balance will go fw for all classes coz i wish to play with everyone and that everyone are happy with the class they chose. kitten its mmo and its fun only coz of its ppl, if ppl are sad and upset its no more fun for me to.

This nerf affects power/crit builds more then cond build imo.

I farmed for 11 hours today, nearly nonstop, amassing 60+ rares and 20g+ over that period. Never did I hit DR.

On topic, i would say clearly ppl who bot dont care for events mainly coz bots farm without stopping for days , they dont care to be reported (ill say once again some bots STILL farm after 3 days they are constantly reported by ppl).
So this can only affect regular players.
IMO, to deal with bots , we dont need special DRs. We need active, available GMs. I personally came here from some other mmo private s. and there we had at least 2 GMs online ALL time. Result of that was clear , we had like NO problem at all with bots.

Can u at least believe that some rangers actually DONT wonna go for cond builds ? Can u believe some ppl wish to play with dual swords ?
Im so emo right now that i started My Little Pony series , again. Last time that happened when they nerfed paladin after 2.4.3 in wow.

I dont agree on pets. Pets are so dumb its terribad. I totally hate them in instances. On other side i have full geared war and ranger. I must say for just about anything my war is far far better. That kitten me off a lot coz i really like ranger class.

Btw honestly, in my opinion, mesmer and guardian are more op then thief , but from my point of view (ranger) lvl mobs are op so forgive me ^.^

Honestly i wish to play ranger with dual swords, or sword and dagger. I wish to try use LB and use my pet. Fact is none of this is viable build for anything. Ill give u example. I wanted to try different styles but the fact is B was only one that was working and now ranger is dead. So even if they fix SB, will that be all ? Im sorry but other classes have awesome choices. Think war for example. Dual axe, Gs, axe and shield , all of this are awesome. Why does it have to be that rangers are so terribad ?

@Lumines.3916 What u say for thief about being squishy , it applyz same on ranger. Difference is that ranger cant go hide, hardy can run away and doesnt do dmg, at all. Soon only viable build for ranger will be dual fists “facepalm”. Dont get me wrong i like thiefs, i play one , but atm when i compare it to other classes it is OP.

Thief, 1s kills ftw. Target usually dont know what hit them.

Guys my question is, how u think to deal with problem when even reporting bots does nothing. Last group (they farm in packs now) of bots i reported 3 days ago are still at SAME spot doing same thing. My topic where i pointed out that this must be worked on was closed. So if bots are able to keep on for days after they are reported , what is stopping them from making more ?

Back to topic pls, any info on this? Im trying to find out will they fix it coz if not ill use this as excuse to quit for good, i had enough of Gw2 problems….

Thats how rogues do it all time. And they went and nerfd rangers. I think ppl who balance classes atm are clueless on how classes work atm.
From what i seen of rogues so far, that is just not right.

Btw, i cant find anywhere clearly stated that “this is bug” and that they are gonna fix it. did anet gave any info on this or im just hoping in vain ?

Even before ppl would ask for war for dungeons (at lest for cof) and would mostly say no to rangers. I guess for next week rangers will have hell time to get party anywhere.

Friend, dont get ppl wrong but if you think of our builds, we were forced into SBs as only viable build. So as you answer, no there is none.

1. Login to ur acc.
2. Make ranger lvl 80 , full gear it.
3. Relog on acc.
4. Delete ranger and make any other class, best mesmer or guardian
5. Go pvp.

I think the best choice would be to go full cond, kite kite kite. Using root and slow helps a lot . Never ;et anyone close to you and dodge anytime u can.
Prolly best idea is to stay behind and do dmg from behind ur party “tanks”.

Have u ever check how much dmg does war or guardian skills do ? If you wish i can take u screens from from how much dmg my full geared war does in pvp per skill used. And you take ur time to find me ANY ranger that comes even close to that.

If nothing else, rangers needed a buff , and this nerf makes ranger by far worst choice for just about anything.

I fully agree on that. My main is war and its really far stronger class then ranger. In wvw , my guardian lvl 35 does more dmg and have greater chance to live out the duel then my ranger who is full geared.
As a war on main i clearly say in wvw my main target is almost always a ranger. They deal silly dmg to me and with some dodging they go down in no time. Im sorry but if i can down almost any single ranger super fast and super easy it can be only that im super awesome pvper, or that ranger class is underpowered.

|I am losing it to the point of quiting. Game is not so bad but constantly getting to broken SPs, bots and so on is getting me down. I had hopes to stay here for a lot more time, to buy item from gem store, but right now in on point of quiting it for good. I still have hopes but not for long…

Cmn guys ranger is “4 the lolz” class here. First clue was short/long bow legendary appearance.
I have two chars atm on 80 full geared. One is war pow/prec/tough and other is power/crit ranger. I may be worng or noob or w/e but my war is 10x better in pve and wvw then my ranger. Not just that, i even noticed that playing my guardian lvl 35 is far more easy in wvw then playing my ranger.

I honestly cant believe that someone actually wish to ruin ranger as class , but i have no other explanation to what is going on.
I just feel sad coz i really like my ranger.

In compare to guardian or war, ranger is a joke. I play all 3, and really even before this my ranger was a joke and now its just silly :P. I guess ill keep it , for the looks.

So after some time of waiting and hoping, i wish to share this topic here.
As it states in title, im disappointed with GW2.

Ill name u few reasons why but in general i feel its game as complete overall.

1. Classes balance
Classes are really not balanced, updates on classes are Radical (ranger is pure example), we already have “the paladin” op class .

2. Item models
…are terribad. As awesome example ill give legendary short/long bow, or any bow for that matter. there is hardly any way to feel unique with ur gear , cant change color of weapons, no cool effects , and so on.
(SRSLY unicorn bow that shoot rainbows, WTF????)

3. Dungeons
To linear and really boring after just few runs. Story mods are to hard and still borin’. Mobs have tons xp, everything takes ages and mostly almost no tactics at all. For the game that kinda invented random events, dungeons are super linear.

4. PVP
PVP choices are 2 : zerg fight or arena. there is no way really for roaming around looking for 1on1 pvp, there is no duels (no comment), overall not much fun.

5. Bots
This is one of things that made me really upset. There are tons of them. They spam, they send u mails, they run in packs and farm for hours , sometimes for days without problems.
I did report bots so many times so far, but in vain i feel. Here is example:
I reported 5 bots farming like nutz. 27h after they are still there doing exact same thing. I even posted topic here only to get it closed. 6h after topic was closed bots are still there. Thats really sad , im sorry but if there is no GM to log in and clean bots then ….

This how i feel about some things , its personal opinion and it does not force anyone to agree with it , i just wanted to share. I hope that some time soon ill be here to say dmn im happy this game is getting better.

I think they should boost guardians also, they so not op right now. Also maybe lower rangers HP for 30%.

So hi there.
I wanted to discuss/complain on bots issue.
I have noticed that even when we report bots, they are not removed in any dcent timeframe. Im currently on underworld server, and like 10h ago i reported 6+ bots at firesnake tail poi. This morning i can here , again SAME bots are still there , farming .
I wish to ask community what u think of this and also i would like to please GMs/ admins to start deal with this menace faster.

As i do agree that exploits should not be used, A LOT work should be done to make dungeons actually , fun. Since right now they are so bad and boring as hell. With that said , the only reason most ppl do it are actually tokens, if u like it or not.
Fixed paths , dull bosses, dull op elite mobs, its all dungeons are right now.
Even ages ago one mmo made dungeons that had some fun, silly (fairy tales event) and just good. Many will remember dungeon (BT) from one well known mmo that was really really fun to do. It was worth time spent in it.
What i really find hard to believe is that all gw2 world is based on random events and funny content , but when it comes to dungeons all we see is linear 3 paths hack and slash.
So i think a lot work must be done to change how current dungeons feel, till then stop blaming ppl for doing dungeons as fast as they can to avoid getting bored of GW2.

Please write some short answer. Idea is to show anet that current modes are (if im not wrong) terrible and that we wish for some serious work on that.
