Check it out: 21715 damage on a 1681 toughness/2032 hp from a thief in 2 seconds.
3 armor pieces vitality and 3 pieces toughness all exotics with 300 toughness from the defense line. No..quickness wasn’t up..didn’t get a chance to =D
Are we supposed to go all toughness /vitality to survive a 2 second burst? Not really..toughness won’t protect you from over the top damage -unless you can buff protection in time-.
I wouldn’t mind this damage if I could see someone coming instead of them blinking instantly towards me and being able to get away whenever they wanted.
Sheesh..I can’t imagine what the other classes have to do with their lower base toughness and vitality.

Judging by your combat log this thief used 8 abilities, according to you in just 2 seconds… according to you. Are you seriously going to stick by that story?
P.S. My thief has more health than you
I don’t think WvW has overflow.. when a zone if full, you queue up. No overflow.
Ok, so the general breakdown is this.. I saw someone spamming in Lion’s Arch looking for someone for a dungeon and decided to kill some time running that with them. We ran the dungeon until we no longer had a full group and decided to run the Eternal Battleground Jumping Puzzle as a group.
They were in LA when they teamed up.
You were probably in an overflow when you grouped up. Grouping with people from other servers is possible, even in wvw. I suspect the buffs still work when you’re grouped, but I haven’t tested that to be honest.
Another scenario, in combat you almost kill your opponent (your opponent down there or just 1 last hit) and your HP still above 50%, suddenly you get disconnected. Your opponent, which should be dead, get exp and loot, which actually should be your; but for you: after you log in you watch your dead body + repair cost + if you are not in town, portal cost (yeah I know 1 – 3 s is not really big, but what I write is about what will people feel if their character die but they actually do not deserve it). Do you think it is fair ?

I myself run full carrion except for soldier on the armor for WvW and (sometimes) use food for condition duration, sigils of corruption and agony on the daggers, hydro on the SB.

Good! Right then, this thread is about Infiltrators Arrow and Heartseeker. Now don’t worry, I’m not gonna suggest a nerf or even a buff. What I’m gonna suggest is that these be changed to target requirement skill. As now is a Thief can just leap away or teleport away making him really hard to catch – Added to all the stealths he got. You may say I’m a bad player but I really don’t have problems killing thieves, I’m Dr Oxy Brobotnik ingame, come see me on Ring of Fire sometime if you doubt it.I do have problems catching thieves though. With sigil of shadows which is a permanent swiftness buff thief is when using leap or teleport WAY faster than any other class. I’d be fine with it if it weren’t for all the stealths. As I see it Thief should definetly be fast and definetly number one at chasing, but shouldn’t in return have the potential to become uncatchable. It just feels like they are too good at running away (inb4 obvious "try catching mesmers). The rest of us have to use skills with CD’s and dodge rolls to run away – Why should you have it so easy?

1. esp. with the recent increase in culling problems add hiding on little space & a sudden “appearance” that is pretty much abusing culling as much as possible

How are they taking advantage when it’s 1) apparently a newly introduced bug and 2) you can’t actually detect the culling problem from their side?
The argument is simple, fix asap the render issue or change stealth , you can choose, but half times i fight against a rogue 1vs1 , i can see in combat log, unknown hit you for X(hi render/stealth bug).
Hmmm, fix a game bug or nerf an entire profession into uselessness. Tough call, right?
Remove the ability for Theives to perma-stealth. In fact, I recommend limiting the Theif’s ability to stealth during combat to be on a 120 second cooldown.
Why not just give them dual feather dusters for weapons and make all their armor look like tutus?

Every thief build is OP, apparently, but ESPECIALLY the ones where you do the most damage using your auto-attack.

Please don’t fill this thread with rubbish about hackers/exploits etc. Keep on topic about the match up. There are hackers in the game get used to it and report it to Anet, no need to ruin a decent thread.
To be fair, that was from a thread that got merged into this one by the moderators.
A lot of the complaints about thieves are due to nothing but confirmation bias. You don’t notice the dead glass canon spec thieves laying on the battlefield, you only notice the ones that get you.
Why on earth was the thief feedback thread merged with the thread about hidden thief being broken?
