Watching some of both videos. Dannys video shows reaction and skill vers other players. you have to think as you fight and know what your fighting or you fail.

Im not even sure i understand how people play this way. I like to read and react to people trying to use different builds and strategy’s in a smaller scale setting.

What is NSP? Well compared to DH – it’s a much lower population server with skilled players who actually know how to use their chars and skills. NSP also boasts a large roamer population who doesn’t give a crap about pressing 1111 while ramming a door down, rather looks for the good/exciting fights in the field.
When I say DH is bad, I don’t mean their pvdoor skills, those are top-notch. What I mean is, they are for the most part skill-less when it comes to using their characters in a field battle. Not only that, but many of DH are cowards who will only fight with 2to1 odds in their favor, however still usually end up losing.
If you question my opinion about the lack of skills possessed by the average DH player well, just watch the couple vids NSP players have released this week and see for yourself.
Ive seen them. Im not saying that DH average isnt bad. Far from it. But that goes for the ‘average’ for any server. NSP isnt any different, i smash your ‘average’ player from NSP just like SBI, etc, or you do to DH or any roamer most likely would. In fact, i smash your average XOXO player too. Does that make them bad? Of course not. Also, ill back that up anytime, hmu. ^.^

You may have killed the first two omegas with the help of xoxo but we rolled them with the next two and reclaimed DH bay. It was frustrating but it was fun. Good fight xoxo. Your two guardians were pretty good.

Ok after a long healthy talk to varcona, she has decided that she wants to change. Don’t believe !? I didn’t think you would. So varcona and I made a video all day yesterday to try and convince you guys.
Varcona , you have sit spammed for the last time wearing the mighty XOXO tag. That behavior is irresponsible and juvenile. Your 33g is ours , you was short 2g this week on the guild tax. So I would advise you farm up the rest of the tax you owe and then and only then we take you off the “Love ya” blacklist.
Some people on Nsp really need to L2P. I logged for some early wvw, and I was immediately greeted by like 5 nsp in the water camp. Didn’t even attack any npcs before I was spotted. I didn’t even have time to get a single kitten stack going. Victory is certain, but some of you are still guarding your fully upgraded camps. Why? Honestly, do you not know there’s PvE to farm? I bet you Wvw try-hards don’t even have your balloon yet.
Regardless of the score , win or lose most of us go there to fight other people. I hate pve , so what else is there. If it means running solo into 3456 I do that. If it means rolling 1 uplevel alt with 5+. Well , ill do that to.
Wvw stlye PvP is the only fun for me in this game. So please fight back , I’m to slow and lazy to chase you.
My respects to the current NSP team in IOJ BL holding our briar and other areas like they mean it. You guys are the best mid size team I’ve seen in this match up and the most organized, it is expected as they were [XOXO] and some other good guilds from NSP.
All the mesmers, thieves plus some good bunker and heavy dps warr and guardian class made the team almost unbeatable. I was the IOJ legend ranger commander trying to use every way to retake our briar back, and we failed to do so every time. Although it was very frustrating for me since I’m running with pugs vs a really organized team, i have to admit how well the executed camp flipping, wp contesting and so on.
With all the friendly peeps I’ve met in NSP and all their great guilds while still being a low populated server ( which is what I enjoy, not tier 3 and up lagfest) makes it really tempting for me to transfer. Almost…
Now well… I need to chill out for the rest of the day. Or match up, idk. :P

Here we go again. Another non-Mesmer saying we’re bloody spoiled. Here’s the deal, Ryan: A lot of Mesmers are all about tossing the Curse of Portalbotting out to some other Profession or two. You know why? We’re sick of bugged Traits and/or constant Nerfs, being excused by others as “Well, you guys have Portal and Time Warp, teehee!”
It’s gotten bloody old. Fix what’s hellaciously broken, quit tossing out wholesale Nerfbat what nukes entire class specs. Use. Bloody. Competence! At this point, the massive amount of group utility is one of this Prof’s saving graces. Go figure, how many times has Portal been nerfed again? Veil’s down to 2 sec. from 4. Quickness as a whole got slapped, and every user of the ability sans Mesmers got a duration increase to level out their Quickness ability’s effectiveness being cut in half.
When did it happen? “It” being this current-day gamer mindset that every class has to be roughly equivalent in abilities, in order for a game to be “balanced?” Some classes will be better at certain things. And that’s fine. We should attempt to bloody well keep each class different in form and function, especially in a game that -ostensibly- is not balanced around 1v1, but small-to-large groups.
It saddens me to see All of our hard work ruined because we have no one to defend in the early EU hours… im sitting here studying and watching millenium update with a tear in my eye…
NSP needs to get its kitten together w/ regards to coverage, and IOJ should be moved to EU server ladder, simple as :/
The real problem is IOJ can play non stop offence while they have the ultimate defender guarding there BL 24/7.
No matter what time I go over to Ioj bl I lag out before I can even get a camp.
I really don’t see the issue here. They fixed an obvious bug and achieved the following effects:
Improved Chaos Armors “proc on hit” effect by adding Blind and Protection as originally intended
Made staff #4 randomized
If Chaos Armor works properly now the blinds alone will probably save you more than the protection. Confusion and Cripple do nothing to mitigate direct damage.
Blind and Protection proc on hit now which gives us 2 random forms of damage mitigation that didn’t exist before. I can see this change being very effective against thieves using Basilisk Venom. They often strike so quickly that they won’t notice 33% of their strikes are missing due to blind AND/OR they are doing 33% less damage thanks to Protection. Obviously there’s a lot of RNG in there that I’m not accounting for but it’s a very realistic example.
MAYBE staff #4 could be improved with either a shorter cooldown or longer Chaos Armor duration. Even without those changes though there’s nothing to cry about here.
Do you even play mesmer ? Your clueless post suggests you certainly don’t PvP.
You compare on demand 5 second protection to ALL incoming damage to blindness that procs for 1 person AFTER they hit you. This is just a small part of how bad this skill is. Never mind the internal cooldowns that they also added.
I can go on and on. But I don’t think you play the class enough to know what I’m talking about.
Chaos Armor is just getting a similar treatment that the Elementalist’s auras did a few patches ago, with the internal 1s cooldown. I just hope the Retaliation boon gets the same treatment someday.
I’m surprised, however, that they went back to making this skill completely random.
Wrong… They removed protection on activation. Which is the only reason staff 4 was any good. No one used the skill for random on hit procs.
Chaos Armor: This skill no longer automatically applies protection when activated. This buff now provides an equal chance to trigger regeneration, swiftness, or protection on hit with a 1-second internal recharge. The random condition applied now has a 1-second internal recharge per target. These changes apply to the Chaos Armor provided through combo finishers as well.
The bug I would like to see is the one that prevents Bp/Sbi from gate humping into a tower/keep every time they see a red player. Now that would be fun.

Its funny you bring up running from even fights. I was just thinking to myself does any Ioj run solo or fight without crying for help. Every time I fight 1-2, 4+ magically appear.
I have yet to see an XOXO hack. I have seen them stomp my kitten but no hacks. I know i’m a small perspective of DH but just stating what I have seen. They are very good players.

Our guys in XOXO play long hours and are arguably some of the best pvpers I have ever met. To discredit them all, by claiming omfghaxor is sad. Its not even like its a joke. The people I spoke with today claimed I was haxing even after I stood there and let them kill me…

Not sure if you are doing something 3rd party wise, but there is no reason for a 5v3 for me to be getting skill delay. Every instance where I came into range of the [xoxo] thief my skills would lag. And I only ever get skill delays at SM and that’s even rare for me.

Ok, flipping through the wvw handbook on DH , I read here is says " will accuse player’s for hacking when they die". You sir are obviously a trout that swims upstream. You not only accuse our players of hax, you are winning fights and yelling hax!

Naussica fee transferred to SF, in the middle of the night she packed her stuff and up and left a few weeks back. We are saddened that she moved. But I’ve always said play for your own fun , not for the fun of others. So good for her.
Got to love the poor class of Os on NSP. After a great fight in which it was 2v6 (me and Pita) in which they finally got us down after we had gotten 3 of them, we had another big fight at vale. It went back and forth beginning as a 3v3 and ended up at least 6v6 with GoM finally coming out on top. I ran into Os back at the ruins and figured I would pay them some respect by bowing. They jumped me so I figured I’d back off and give them space. I went to the bridge at briar and bowed again just to get jumped again. After a few minutes of fighting, they got me (1v6) and their classy commander laughs. I’m not exactly sure what you felt by that but i suppose when it takes 6 to kill one guy, you need to buff your ego somehow.
This happens to me daily, why do you care, I sure don’t.
I want them to /sit/laugh/dance/teabag.. go for it, it makes me laugh.

Dang I’m mad I missed this! I had an awesome impromptu 2v2 with you and the dagger/dagger ele at Vale in NSP BL last night. I was the sword/torch mesmer fighting with the big shiny guardian.
That fight was great! Minus them camp Npc’s that for what ever reason train me non stop! It had to be like 10+ mins lol. Next time , stay out of my camp!
