…are you referring to shiro?
k, just idly wondering if it would use banners, but doesn’t sound like it
too many white wings in game, personally. glad a lot of people missed out, as selfish as that sounds
what’s the warrior’s elite spec?

kept thinking he found the cultists at cliffside, personally, and borrowed their hammer
each class is mechanically unique and “feels” different. one of the best things about char creation
THIS THREAD AGAIN
whatever you do, do NOT roll up an engineer or elementalist until you have a solid understanding of the game :p they are the nost intricate and subtle classes
start with a warrior. simpler, more intuitive, and always in demand
not with the constant influx of newer players.
the OP admitting he likes to afk boss fights is a solid reason why they should be fixed
You’re behaving as if its a religion, get over yourself and accept that the deal was something that alot of people were unhappy with, wether or not it is a majority is de facto besides the point. Enough of a portion of the players felt that the deal was bad enough that Arenanet had to do something about it.
The issue that most players had with the deal (myself included) has been addressed and amended. Before the announcement, I did not and was not planning to buy either the pre-order or the expansion. After the additional character slot, I was satisfied enough to.
Continued to insist that there remains an issue falls under the same mindset that you’re accusing me of…namely, mindless blind devotion to a cause that the majority of players don’t agree with.
The transition to the new system really didn’t center on no longer earning traits at specific locations or divorcing traits from stats…they could have made those changes without changing the trait system itself.
What the new system does is prevent you from spreading your points across more than three lines. On the plus side, you get 3 full trait lines. On the downside, you don’t get to “dabble”…something I was able to do on my duelist pvp mesmer.
On the neither good-nor-bad side, I have to spend a lot more time now thinking about each trait choice, and the potential synergies. Before, if I had an idea what I wanted to do with my character, the trait choices were mostly self-evident. Now, there’s more than one way to fill a particular role, and that could be very very good for the game.

The funny part?
We would not be seeing this thread if he had won. I’m sure gambling wouldn’t be such a problem then :P
Gambling results in profit? Working as intended.
Gambling results in loss? TO THE FORUMS!!!!!
keep at it then. best luck to you too, cause i really really don’t get the impression you’re the majority.

The Jotun have a very old and revered saying:
“He who give shinies to skritt get no sympathy on electric webs.”
degrade? don’t you mean depreciate? also, he didn’t use either of those words. maybe you need to work on your reading comprehension skills…as well as your punctuation.
Because its 3 years old it does not mean it has to be cheaper.
Do you have an example from the video game world?

A very good lesson to you.
Don’t put 30 chilli peppers into your mouth at once – you take one and taste a little bit to see how ‘hot’ it is.
Exactly what I did as well. I bought a single purchase of the cheapest option, saw what was inside, and said to myself, “Oh, that’s what this guy does.”

You want a hypothesized reason for the NPC? It’s an ecto sink. There. Boom.
The NPC in the ram festival was also a “gamble” NPC. Sometimes you won. Sometimes you didn’t. How many clicks did you expect it would take for the skritt to “pay out”?
Honestly, I don’t think any amount of warning would have stopped you. And no one is changing the NPC or refunding your fake money.

- You used the vendor.
- You lost money and items.
- You kept gambling anyway.
What warning would be big enough to get it through to you???

differences is: if usually u lose a bit like 1g, then u gan 1,2g, is different from lose 500 gold or more, if the max trait is to lose 1,2 gold is different from lose 1000 globs and 100 gold…
No, your stated argument was that this vendor should not exist in the first place, not that his return rates should be different. Are you changing your argument now because you finally realize it’s flawed?

i noticed you never answered the question of why you used it 4+ times
because i was thinking this npc was the same of the olders, where sometime you should lose a bit, and sometime you will gain a bit more
Hate to break it to you, but that is the EXACT DEFINITION OF GAMBLING. At what point were you confused again?
I hate to say it, but you just depth-charged your own argument, if you ever had one to begin with.

see, and that’s where you’re wrong. do you get a second gw key with hot? no? then you’re straight up incorrect.
the base game is a special offer for new players and has nothing to do with you. i agree; “entitled” is a great adjective for you

They’re playing.
last time my cats did that, we wound up with six kittens
which is not what anet did. anet said “$50 for the expansion. oh, you’re a new player too? welcome! step in the back, we have a special extra for you.”
cats will kitten you up

this thread reminds me if those lovely tear-filled “i spent real money buying my fancy spaceship and got ganked undocking from jita and i’m gonna sue the company now” threads i used to love so much
same experience for me.
the difference being that anet never offered gw+hot for $50. 50 is the price for the expansion. if that’s too much, don’t buy it.
bungie’s exec tried to imply the emotes were worth $80. not even the most diehard gw fan is going to agree with that.

1000 globs? you would have had to use him a minimum of 4 times? why didn’t you stop after the first time again?
i take it you’ve also never used a black lion key
i run a silverwastes-specific guild that requires 100% rep while on the map so that we can properly coordinate active event maps, chest trains, commanders, etc. when our members are off the map, we don’t care whom they rep.
this is one example of a niche role that repping multiple guilds helps enable. i was originally reserved about the system, but i’ve come to appreciate it
(edited by nathanjameson.3542)
then i second the motion to make this an obtainable skin
i noticed it as well. it’s not the gallant skin, is it?
i still have lost heirlooms myself
this was the first time i had good reason to use my first-person mode
honestly, I’d prefer if everyone and his brother DIDN’T have one. as it was, there were way too many people with the black wings when they first came out
tbh clipping doesn’t even bother me
big fat decoration? did you forget who currently owns the tri-key chest?
COVERT MODE, AGENT SCRATCH!!!
i love how i get drawn away in the middle of crafting because the npcs nearby are actually interesting
(edited by nathanjameson.3542)
I used to play EVE before this. Until GW2 patches their game with a command line to delete “boot.ini”…well…let’s just say nothing Anet has done so far compares.
we’re guinea pigs for content we don’t have to pay one red cent for. i still don’t understand how you’re so upset about this.
misleading title is…misleading
I’m a veteran player, and i don’t think i SHOULD be getting anything beyond a new player.
Where did this pathetic sense of self-entitlement start?
$50 for the expansion? I showed them...

I’ve played in all the betas so far. what i’ve seen so far is worth the money.
i just think it’s hilarious how much YOU’RE complaining about how i spend MY money
i’m a vet and I’m glad to support them financially
