First story mission can be completed afk.

it’s beta, they don’t want the gate mission to the rest of the map to be too punishing for a completely new class, when most of the content is beyond the bottleneck.
they probably will up the difficulty a bit before release.
Just came back = original game cash wasted?

That’s like saying Fallout 3 should have been cheaper if I already owned Fallout 2 but had never played it.
The argument is just stupid.

oooOOOooo now i’m all curious about what’s behind that door
the warhorn wasn’t the big “thing” about the tempest. it was the shouts. and the F1-4 overcharges, to another extent. that you put them at the end of your post as an afterthought means you completely missed the focus of the tempest.
veteran creatures are supposed to be a challenge if you’re solo, no matter what creature it is
rytlock channeled glint.
there’s a glint skin datamined from the client.
hmm.
ha ha, i’m loving the tears on this thread
[Poll] Which beta char did you delete?

didn’t. played revenant before already, so didn’t feel like playing it again just for shiro

if they did that, you’d lose the “special” part of “specialization”
Seems like a bit of a narrow vision for a Ranger’s “niche.”
Your character is very playable without the new specializations. I wouldn’t hold my breath.

…Now there’s a quotable quote!
I really like the extra polishing they did with the new dialogue and cinematography. Along with the new conversation your characters have at the first camp, I REALLY liked the expanded Rytlock vs. Cavalier scene. Almost gave me shivers.
Keep it up, Anet! And more Steven Blum, please!
Thanks, I missed that.
The F5 “Continuum Spirit” just looks ugly, sitting on top of the F4 skill as it is, out in the middle of nowhere. Can’t we…
a) Shift the illusion counters one step to the left, so that we can fit the F5 skill on the same row, as with the Engineer?
b) If keeping it separate from the F1-F4 skills is important for some reason, can we have it over the #6 healing skill then?
It’s a visual thing, but the interface just looks cluttered at the moment.
“SHARPEN YOUR BLADES AND PROTECT YOUR VITALS!”
Such a great quote, when the audio finally worked. B-)
Didn’t feel so HoT huh? Ya i didn’t like the vertical map, i played for about 30 min and went back to farming mats for a legendary.
I think we are remarkably different gamers then.
I’ve been dabbling in the Beta test on different specialization, long enough to get the “feel” of the new builds. Reaper and Tempest so far have been a blast (har har pun) and each have their own unique mechanics and flavors.
The Dragonhunter, on the other hand, has left me with mixed feelings. On the one hand, it is an excellent extrapolation of the Guardian’s “control” abilities, applied to ranged and area attacks. With my Dragonhunter, I was able to pull enemies together for DPS, apply burning to a group at range, reflect projectiles, and even use knockback every 10s or so, to keep them off objectives.
On the other hand…where does this leave my Ranger? Though there are several unique and effective builds for a Ranger (double-axe melee being my PVP build, for example), I feel like the Dragonhunter is encroaching heavily on flavor that originally belonged to the Ranger—namely heavy DPS/control on a single ranged target. Now that the Dragonhunter can even use traps, does this mean the Ranger only has a pet as his unique ability?
I’m still looking forward to seeing the Ranger’s elite specialty in the upcoming betas…I just hope that it doesn’t require using the specialty to make him feel unique again.
are you kidding? i have so many more skin sets to complete, and a SW guild to run
i also wish a shield that shield is kitten
another way to grief commanders i don’t like? yes, please!
confirming your head is terrible. also, your charr looks off too.
can attest that EVE Online also has a test server, and that it was rarely used for its intended purpose

good question. why DON’T you just enjoy it? what does gold have to do with anything?
i actually DON’T get enough t7 materials a day and have to go out of my way to farm them.
also, anet needs to add MORE time gates. my wallet loves them.
Same reason for any of the plethora of “loot” containers in the game. So you don’t miss what they try and pass off as rewards in this game.
wrong. you never see the shards from champ chests you open
I’ve actually noticed myself getting MORE with the new system, from drop bags
Did Rytlock come across....? (Spoiler?)

THAT would be an interesting plot twist. whi currently holds its sister?
They responded with what I felt was a fair response, and it earned the pre-order from me. I don’t, however, see them doing anything additional until actual release.
good luck with that, then. you certainly seem to have made a lot of progress.
i really wish people who fundamentally disagree with the philosophy of the pre-order would vote with their feet and their wallet already and stop crapping up our forums
scratch and sniff?
There is no.
i can see mordremoth spawning lieutenants for a new permanent world boss, like jormag and kralkatorrik
they have both. compare CoF to Arah
i thought this was just me! kudos!
i do love hovering over the new icons to memorize what they represent now…they definitely “pop” now
oh crap he brought the de-mat gun too!!
anet: keep teq as is. these tears are delicious.
Hmm, the lighthouse does sound vaguely similar, but I haven’t heard a good TARDIS sound yet…

if you were trying to level to do the “skill funs,” you didn’t approach the stress test the right way. i just got into as many events as i could
eh i just wanted the AP and the view. waiting on the recharge for spectral walk still made me spend 2.5 hours on it, but at least they weren’t 2.5 frustrated hours
…experience scrolls?
Skritt wouldn’t make much sense as playable though, due to their hive-mind. Taken out of their society they’d be barely smart enough to hold a club in their hand.
EXACTLY! Now you’re getting it!
As it is, I already throw back a skritt tonic and run around in LA nonsensically screaming “SKRITT, ATTACK!” and “MORE COME, YES?”
Their racial elites would also be super OP…like [Find Rock], with the amazing follow up [Throw Rock].
…am i the only one that goes into a JP armed with Spectral Walk and a stack of Experimental Rifles?
finished the new LA puzzle last night…didn’t need to restart once
when i last opened 100 chests in a row, i got 3.5 full tickets. i’m assuming the drop rate on 10 ticket scraps/full tickets is roughly 3.5% then.
incidentally, I’ve noticed that you get the same number of skins if you simply convert the gems to gold and buy them that way.
I’m banking on the tengu’s non-involvement being much less cut-and-dry than “didn’t want to.” considering the source material that they’re drawn from, there are probably innumerable levels of court intrigue and politics going on in the dominion.
personally, my two favorite choices for new playable races would be the skritt and hylek. their respective flavors are wonderful to roleplay
with npcs now using wps, i can’t help but wonder if this is some sort of easter egg. I’ll hang around tonight and see if i can’t spot him.
Silver Cloak, away!!!
