The argument of, “It isn’t fair because every single player in the millions didn’t vote on a forum poll!” fails to stay consistent because that would mean that every suggestion and every discussion on the forums should be scrapped and every imbalance with the game should remain because every single player in the game isn’t an active user on the forums voicing their opinion for or against the imbalance at hand.
In other thread I supposed to make a pop-up in-game opinion poll – one vote per account. Than would be pretty fair. The situation is special, indeed. I never meant voting here.
And I will gladly agree with the in-game opinion poll, it will be OK. By now I see no objectiveness of Anet’s decision.

I agree for anything, just don’t remake the Flamekissed. But I think the opinion of gold-to gems converters is more important to ArenaNet than of people who pay real bucks to buy gems and who to help the game to live on, not just complaining of the fast-making money and etc… I would like to ask the whiners if they would work for free and make awesome things?
So all arguments and complaints are invalid and should be ignored just because someone uses the gold-to-gems conversion? You’re attacking the people making the argument, not the argument itself. That is also a false statement since people who are against cultural armor in the gemstore could just as likely use real money to buy gemstore items as those who pay with gold.

They do not work for free, they get pay checks from their publisher, NCSoft.
Grabbing the T3 human light armor mesh and slapping a bunch of flames on them is lazy work not worth 1/6th of the cost of the game itself.
Let me make an analogy, it’s consistent and relevant because both of these items are prestigious and expensive, but will be sold in the gemstore for a fraction of their cost while having better effects.
Legendary weapon skins in the gemstore, that’s right. Both the T3 and legendary weapon skins are quite prestigious, one more prestigious than the other but that’s subjective, and selling legendary weapon skins in the gemstore WITH ADDED EFFECTS is just as hard of a slap to the face as selling T3 with better effects and for less than 119g.

I’m kitten ed out because Anet listened to one group of players and did to their bid, and the others are just messed. Let us vote and if pros for deleting the skin outnumber the cons, it will be fair enough, I won’t object. But my opinion was never asked at all. Now I will have to be disposed of the skin I liked. The thing is that aroud maybe two hundreds of players acted in the forum whining about culturals etc and Anet made changes without the opinion of other thousands!!! What gold? What gems?!!! Say if that is fair against simple opinion poll, and I’ll laugh at you.
However, now, I’ve spent money that I worked for, in real life, on something I wanted. Now, the thing I bought is getting changed because people who had a similar thing did not want the new version available to others for what they perceive as less cost, or due to silly restrictions.
Yep, I still wonder why one group’s of players opinion is listened to and the other’s is screwed up? Am I less valuable for investing real money and not making it in’game?

Yes, the designs for Elementalists were great in GW1, and making them in GW2 with all the glowing effects and stuff would be great! But I’m afraid there will be whiners like about Flamekissed that GW1 lost if originality
I suggest in my turn to make Flamefissed like an elite with wolves – a game uprgade so that you need to spend exactly real money for that. If you wish – you grind to have in-game T3/ I you wish -you buy it with bucks. And then there will be no issue that the fiery one is cheaper and looking better.

I hope they allow those who already bought the skin to keep the original look . I dont want a new Flamekissed Armor.

I like the flame-effect on the armours, all three of them. And I have faith they’ll re-introduce the light armour version which will look as good. (still hoping for a PvE version of the PvP masquarade armour…)
Because this skin os the only light armor skin which I liked so far. Maquerade is good on Mesmer, not Ele, for me. And combining the best light armor with flames was a brilliant idea for me.
The “best light armour”? That’s not human T3.
You cannot say an armour is “the best”. It can only be “the best for you”. Others might not like it at all. I’d love a PvP Masquerade (this is different from the PvE crafted version!) as a flamekissed one… This would look so awesome on my ele!
Yes, it’s best for me, that’s why I bought Flamekissed. Masquerade will not compensate it for me at all. That was my point.

Thank you for listening and understanding the concerns of many of the players. Please remember that this was a fiasco from the start and because a response took such a long time, you are still going to have many people unhappy who did purchase the Flamekissed armor. I think you came up with a fair and reasonable solution. Thanks again.
It WASNOT a fiasco, you and the like made it so. The armor was brilliant. Even if I had T3 on my character I would buy this skin anyway, because it’s so cool. If you and the like just envy and want something SPECIAL, you’re in the wrong game because there are about 20 or so skins of the light armor in the game and with all the effort you can’t be unique, even with different dyes.
Instead, you screwed the players who liked it and bought it, and how should WE feel now? I don’t feel that Anet is guilty, they did perfecty great armour set, why do you think that is was easy to add flames to the T3 cultural? It’s still great work and the guys need real money for that, not your converted in-game gold.

Now we, the buyers of Flamekissed, in the situation like when one buys a kitten he/she wanted for so long, feeds it, loves it, gets used to it and then because of someone’s complaint about these very kittens’ appearance you are said that soon the kitten will be taken from you to be narcotized, but don’t you worry, we will bring you another kitten which will not resemble the first one but will br great, too. If you don’t like it, we return you money. And no one cares that you had your time to love the first one and you’re agonizing in the wait when they will take it from you and destroy forever. Will be a new one a comfort? I doubt so.
Totally agree. The situation seemed unfair because here posted only people who didn’t like it. Want a real opinion? Create an in-game voting poll on whether to remove the skin or not popping out when you log in, 1-time for each account and then see the results. In this situation we, buyers, are suffering because we LIKED Flamekissed. And the envyies just were active on these forums so you ArenaNet don’t have all the opinions now.
As many really liked how Flamekissed looked like, I suggest that you leave the currect version of the skin (cultural human T3) for a big price of 1500 Gems. This can be fair towards all those whiners who are offended by the low price. I am ready to pay additional gems, but please don’t remove the best armor skin in the game FOREVER!

And I support the idea. I don’t love only one thing in Cabalist’s set – pompons on the footwear. The reat is great. But pompons won’t be looking good with fire, I guess
I suggest the following. I don’t know how the new Flamekissed will look like. I may like it and may not. If it’s cool, I’ll keep it. If it’s ugly like heavy and medium (no offence, just my own point of view) I want a refund. It’s great you’ve listened to the players and decided to remake the skin, but now the ones who spent their real money and bought gems for THIS VERY LOOK, are an aggrieved party and have to wait and guess what they will look like. Plainly saying, they’ve bought a pig in a poke. That’s no deal at all.
I require that after the change of this armor skin you refund the displeased players the spent gems and give them 6 Transmutation Gems to change the armor appearance.
If ArenaNet rectify their error, then they should do it accordigly to all the sides – those who bought cultural armor and displeased and those who bought a new skin and are now in questions. It will be fair enogh. Players who spent their gems don’t have to pay for Anet’s mistake at all.
And I was lucky as I have been collecting gold fot T3 human Ele, but I couldn’t dream of such marvellous flame effect on this set. So I saved money and got a great look for my Ele
