How long do people think it will be before we live down this top dog hatred? I understand it myself. I am an Aussie and all Australians support the underdog. But we aren’t the top dog anymore. SOR is numero uno! Hate them lol. The early PPT was pretty rough but in all honesty, we really went out there today and we had full maps with queues. Last week there were no queues at all. People are coming back and playing. But the tactics hurt us today getting denied hills in double teams and its hard to bounce back from that in a hurry, especially when its during a timezone we aren’t always so successful in. Thumbs up to all the Jade Quarry players who played through the adversity and kept the maps queued through the day. You guys are awesome!

Look, John is one of the behind the scenes guys on SoR who’s trying to help keep things comfortable for everyone. If you guys work with him a little instead of crabbing we might actually GET balance instead of having to COMPLAIN about it.
KnT, SF, you guys can manage to act like grownups sometimes. Somebody wanna give him a whisper, we’re getting a fair-sized amount of bites from guilds outside the tier here. It’s time to end the cycle of t1.

Incredibly optimistic but I very much doubt a good balance across T1 servers is achievable.

Anyone with an eyefinity setup has a hugely larger FOV and camera view than anyone else. you can easily rotate the camera so that the sides of the screen extend to a further viewable distance than other clients without it. The few times I have run with fear they make a point of pointing out that you can place an arrowcart right up against a keep or tower wall beside the gates and do this.

If thats true, maybe someone with this setup can test the camera view at Bravost and show us if this cart can fire on the inner courtyard from the position shown in the 2 screens.

You can simulate it without having multiple monitors by doing alt+enter and resizing the window so that its width is 100% of the screen’s width and its height is around 25% of the screen’s height. In some spots you can just barely see over walls but FEAR have the amazing ability to hit absolutely anywhere inside any tower/keep so I very much doubt they are doing it with multiple monitors or a resized window.

Doesnt mean that the rest of SOR should condone the behaviour. Its clear the Keep was captured due to use of a field of view exploit, those honest SoR who disagree with the use of this exploit should vacate it , not attempt to defend it, and allow it to be re-built before attacking it again.

I don’t blame SoR for this, but guilds that tolerate such behaviour. I’m almost sure that 99% of SoR doesn’t like hearing such things as JQ or Bg do. But there is no vote to get people from the server and I don’t know how good Anet can track such things.
And that particular guild seems to have very low standards for fair play.

Well said. The other guilds can try to pressure those doing things like this, but ultimately there’s only so much they can do. It’s unfortunate that a few disreputable types can tarnish a whole server, so it does lie on the rest of us not on that server to keep that perspective. I doubt the vast majority of SoR condones this and refuse to allow myself to condemn them all for the actions of a few <insert bannable labeling word here>.

I recall someone posting about that guild doing the exact same thing a week or two ago and yet there were people from other guilds on SoR defending them.

History in the making. Some quick facts about SoR.

• We began 17th place, and are now projected for 1st place.
• We have never dropped down a tier only risen.
• We have only ever dropped a rank within a tier twice (both times in T1 from 2nd to 3rd).
• Every major guild that has joined SoR competes in WvW and has never left.
• Our TeamSpeak is 2nd most active server in NA and 10th world wide averaging 250 people an hour and just under 2600 users.

I think the main difference is we don’t offer guilds gold to come over. They decide to come over and perhaps if a few of their members couldn’t make it, we help them out. That’s the difference between buying guilds and not.

So no different to when guilds from Kaineng came to BG? What was all the fuss about then.

I still dont get it. BG had no issues or worries about ‘balance’ when they recieved pretty much every major guild from KN and was ticking 400+ pretty much perm.

Now SoR received 1 euro guild and have good fortune in regards to playing smart and the enemy playing sloppy its suddenly a broken T1 that’s unbalanced and will be for months.

BG and JQ have more players on there servers then SoR, even right now at midday UK time. IRON’s 100 people transferring over wasn’t enough to push our status from Very High to Full so the gap between them 2 ratings must be a large.

You need to motivate your servers community to get into WvW. SoR has an amazing community and we assign every guild we know off to a borderland at reset night (apart from Ace he solos SoR-BL for us).

Why do people from SoR keep posting screenshots showing how JQ/BG are ‘full’ and SoR is ‘very high’? A lot of the players that make JQ/BG ‘full’ are casual with very little interest in WvW. Most of them probably transferred for the sole reason of getting map completion. The only thing that motivates these players to play WvW is seeing that their server is already doing well and is in 1st. SoR being the underdog of T1 for so long doesn’t have many of these players. Win a few weeks and SoR will be full too.

I agree with you, they can play whenever they want. I just think people find it funny they started playing in SEA, then bounced to Oceanic, then bounced to NA finding themselves ineffective in every time slot. They finally ended up playing in the EU time slot (where they admittedly are effective).

That lag was horrendous in JQ BL. Definitely did not enjoy 3 hours worth of skill lag. BG can gloat about their defense of hills, but when you have like 15 AC’s and kitten in lords in a narrow choke, what do you expect?

Because of the constant 2v1. I was completely fine with it when we were on top and its completely fine to do it to make things even. Now SOR has taken about being a bunch of kittens. Might as well rename Sanctum of Rall to Blackgate 2.

WM didn’t go to SoR because SoR players were sending them nasty messages or something along those lines.

From what I saw RISE was messing up SoR in fights all night in EB on reset, so he has a point.

Lol SoR NA players are such cuties, smack talking about how good they are when they outnumber both JQ and BG in NA prime. Classic example of the dunning-kruger effect.

Isn’t WM back already? Saw a decently sized group of them a few days ago when I played during SEA prime.

Nah, the past couple of weeks there has only really been a few of them on each night with some extremely brief appearances from 1-2 of their main commanders.

With the amount of work they do for KN they definitely deserve a rest though

There is a player from Sea of Sorrows here in WvW clearly hacking. I have his guild name and character name but how can I report him for using hacks? The in-game report function only has options for botting, inappropriate character name, spamming, verbal abuse, scamming and selling gold.

Totally agree. It’s very surprising that these bugs haven’t been fixed yet, especially considering how reliant mesmers are on this skill because of our low movement speed and the fact that it’s our only gap closer besides blink.

The puzzle was a huge disappointment compared to the Halloween one and way too easy I thought. I did it first go even though I had no idea where to go or what to watch out for.

There needs to be long, timed, insane difficulty jumping puzzles where platforms are spaced such that it is only just possible to make the jump distance if you jump right at the very edge of a platform.

I’m really not a fan of the whole one sized fits all approach to jumping puzzles that ANet take.
