Believe it or not TW has been running no tags this week, and yet they still still find us About an hour or so before you guys joined we had IRON running the pugs while we ran with guild only. However when you arrived we had ourselves a rather large unintended force following us. Hopefully tonight we can have some fights with equal numbers
Every time I’ve seen Indo this week he has been tagged up.
In all due honesty, last week’s matchup was probably one of the closest in history. BG won by about 21k from 3nd place.
It’s obvious they are the powerhouse of the tier when it comes to population/coverage and deserve the respect for that.
If SoR getting more people makes the matchup even closer with the same result as far as placement, I think it’s something everyone should be happy about, especially since there are great fights to be had.

But sometime you got good fight and get kill he/she will /bow or /salute to you for fight with honor/awesome duel/Excellent skirmish.
But after that happen you will do a same thing or not do same as them?
A month or two ago I got jumped by a SoR thief and we had a good fight before I managed to land a CC on him and finish him. I /bow’ed and ran along, then what did he do? He Joined my party and said something along the lines of “did you seriously just bow?” and proceeded to hurl a heap of abuse. I now get great pleasure jumping on the corpse of every SoR thief that I kill.

The Blackhole has a losing mentality. When they win, it’s kitten slapping and bragging for everyone to see. As soon as their lead turns, and their not up by 100,000, the fairweather braggerts log off to do their introduction to Algebra homework.
It’s funny, when we get double teamed on SOR, the teamspeak is excited. People are actually happy to finally get some good fights instead of chasing the Blackgate Zerg back to their portal. We have a winning mentality.
I don’t care what you BlackHole posters tell me. It’s obvious what’s happening on that server. You don’t show up when the fights are challenging or the lead disappears. That’s the facts. We can’t find any of you on the map as soon as you fall to second place. We also know you q all your maps when your up by 100,000. We were on JQ bl last week and were trying to set up GVGs with Blackgate guilds that had to q to get in, no matter what map we tried.
Spin it how you want Black Hole. It’s obvious the majority of Black Hole WvW’ers don’t enjoy your community/ts, don’t care about finding good fights, or don’t have much interest in playing if you aren’t in the lead. If you did, there would be more then 40 of you on a map on a Tuesday night when your only down by 10,000.
The Black Hole has two game modes: full speed ahead and brag to everyone about how good you are

Feels fine for me, glad TW has guilds around them that they can count on when the going gets tough. Only wish our competitors had the same heart and reliability!
BG/JQ guilds come out to play every single day. You would see literally no one in WvW if they didn’t.
Then we could also have someone from a spectator point of view streaming (maybe even with a caster?)

- Then winning team struts around with inflated egos calling their opponents trash on ts amongst themselves and thinking they are gaming ~sUpErStArZ~ even though GvG is not competitive (there’s only a handful of guilds that actually care about it) and it requires very little individual skill (lol 20 people mashing 1) :p

Spotted by someone with a zoomhack (either the ele or someone else in their party, the ele may well be innocent), DT doesn’t require LoS to cast, and that cart position is not targetable without one. JQ did the same thing to Klovan last night at least once, then whoever it was decided to really make it blatantly obvious they were zoomhacking by carpeting the supply depot with arrow cart fire on their next attempt. Said cart was constructed right outside our gate.
It caught me off guard so I didn’t get screenies, I’d love to see some accounts banned if you can catch people in the act though.
While multiple members of said guild (including commanders) are known to use zoom unlockers, I don’t think that the person/people in these particular examples are doing it. The AC can be targetted in that position and an AC built near the gate can see over the top of the gate and target the supply depot.
True. Still, with respect to JQ, they don’t look like imploding, not in the way that SoS did when it started losing.
Which reminds me I’m stuck on acronyms, perhaps you can help?
I got to SoKG (Sea of Kainengate) and realised I couldn’t make a decent acronym anymore from all the servers that have gone there without making it look cluttered.
One person pointed out to me that big guilds seem to go there and disappear, he called it the retirement server. Maybe that’s why BG wins only once every other week (two weeks in a row is too tiring).
So i decided to change tact and rather than looking at acronyms i decided a colloquial expression was more appropriate and went with: Black hole.
With that as inspiration I came up with ‘The server that sucks you in’ but it needs polish. I’m sure I can do better.
Im the thief who farms there and calls out movements when I see a zerg run through. You won’t see me, and I assure you it is my cave. Find me if you can and if you kill me there you get 30 pieces of silver if you group with me.(I’m not giving silver to more than 1 person so dont zerg me.)

When TW went over, BG was up 18k, I doubt even they can make that up alone. The only thing that will change is BG’s NA won’t run over JQ’s NA anymore.

TW’s presence won’t make much difference at all. WvW is a game of numbers and a demoralised JQ simply doesn’t have our numbers when we have high moral and our entire fair weather population playing. Also complaining about pvdoor is a bit rich when you guys tick 400+ for a huge portion of everyday when against JQ/BG.
Shows everyone in every tier that SOR and JQ have to double team every server that can put a decent fight up ,like BG, to win. Really childish servers they have become that they cannot ,,or will not, fight each other since they are so buddy buddy that if they get split up and ones in trouble ohh we will come help you guys for the brotherhood of SOQ .
It really is becoming a sad state for every other tier to challenge either of these 2 servers on a fair battle ground if they are in the same match up.
Double teaming is a perfectly valid tactic and is a part of the game, whinging about it only makes you look silly.
tbh the game isn’t that large between sor bg and jq
jq needs some na players after they lost some to db and I hear rg is looking at joining them again
bg has the pop just there morale was low so maybe this break will bring a lot of there players back. BG may need a little help during na also but not much

I think it’s pretty safe to say, that you do not need more guilds, just organization. Try doing the right thing and sending your potential recruits to the server that does need them(JQ). At least, SoR refuses transfers and sends them both our way, BG on the other hand cares only about winning it seems and over-stacking their server.

No. he is probably starting to realize what SOR players knew for a long time, and why SOR generally has no respect for BG….
SoR didn’t think of balancing the tier when they accepted IRON and began getting blowout wins.

I think MERC is one of the only guilds left who do /laugh after taking a keep. Every single time they’ve managed to take a keep or tower, my chat is polluted with “Blackgate Soldier laughs with you” blah blah blah. It could be the pugs following you guys, I’m not sure, but honest to god, it’s such a bad look when it happens. Now, I’m not sure if you’ve had it done to you by other guilds or zergs or what not, but yeah, if I may take an exert from your own recruitment form:

Now, I’m not sure if this is something encouraged by your commanders, or something the odd member does. You could blame it on the pugs but I haven’t experienced this with any other BG guild or pug zerg. But yeah, I know you guys have that reputation of being trolly from your original GM, Jedas. But just letting you know how freaking petty this /laugh stuff is. lol.
I don’t think MERC only fields 20-30. We see a SEA of MERC every night. You guys definitely field 30-40. Although WM has indeed lost a few numbers, don’t they field that little. They field around 15-25. Both ND combined can field around 30 as well. On top of that, Thai usually fields about 20-30.
AFS – 10-20.
NYS – 20-30
SAHP – 15-25. They actually field really little, but have loads of militia following them.
HIRE – 20-30
OCX – 10-20
Yes, they are all CAPABLE of fielding 20, but they only occasionally field those numbers.
Btw.. SYN barely fields even 2 nowadays. XPK fields around 10.
MERC always have a huge militia following during Oceanic because they are BGs only decent sized coordinated force during that period, but they definitely don’t have 40. Also, ever since WM lost numbers I’ve never seen them with more than 10-15 players. The Korean players that left to join CA usually run separately to WM, in a group of about 8-10.
Well, WvW isn’t strictly pvp. It’s more casual, and playing with large groups of people can be fun. Coordinating said group has its own appeal when done well. There’s also a vague notion of server/guild pride.
Also, bad players can hide in a zerg and proclaim their superiority over other players as they are a l33t pvp’er which is of a higher caliber than your pve player even though most of it was not done by them.
We just felt like having a fun golem rush at all the keeps. Props to JQ to stopping us after we steam rolled through various garrisons the BG Keep and EB. Was fun!
Not much we can do while outmanned on 3 borderlands but good work nevertheless
GvG’s are the ultimate test of skill in my opinion.
it really makes me laugh. There is very little skill involved in GvG and WvW. As fights become larger in scale, skill becomes less important and coordination becomes more important, simply because the impact that a single player has on a fight becomes less significant. Following a really good commander in a pack, like a herd of sheep, doing what he says, when he says, and winning fights as a result doesn’t mean you’re skilled, it means you’re coordinated.
