So far the majority of elementalists have been saying they’re weak and outclassed.

Idk how true this is though

At the moment I’m liking my condition damage on guardian just because I do extra damage to burning foes but I’ll probably change it later. The game is still new so it shouldn’t be a huge deal.

For the most part though doesn’t seem like condition damage is superior on anyone.

No it is not just you. Both spvp and WvW are both zerg fest. Pvp is really lacking in this game.

Obviously you haven’t played much PvP

Just because there are Zergs in WvW doesn’t mean that’s all it is.

Whenever a Zerg happens my friends and I use that as an advantage to take supply camps or destroy caravans

I’ve played plenty of WvW and there’s tons of strategy and communication involved in the chat.

Dungeons are meant to be difficult and not easy and require tons of strategy.

Even though you’re scaled down you don’t lost your traits or armor stats.

I don’t think one has a more drop rate I think it’s just you had more luck on one character.

I have a guardian lvl 80 and I’ve played WvW about maybe 8 or so times and I have 40 badges but idk if that’s a lot for that time or not.

You should get bags of loot for almost everything. Not just killing players but killing veteran NPCs, supply caravans, keep lords etc

Guardians have 10k base health at lvl 80

Elementalists have 15k

What were you saying about a buff to their health?

Didn’t I just read a thread about this but for elementalist and Mesmer?

Seems like everyone thinks all classes are weak.

If you’re trying to 1v1 a thief or warrior you’re doing it wrong

I have a couple friends who wreck with elementalist in PvP he plays air and sets up a lightning stun for his teammates to clean up and it’s a ridiculously sick combo.

With that said though I haven’t played an elementalist I just know at the moment they’re not very good duelists so stick with a group.

I have a crit burn guardian too and my armor has power, precision, condition damage and vitality. I have all the traits invested on burning foes and doing more damage to foes on fire and it works well for me in PvP and WvW. It just seems like not many people like to invest into the trait.

I’ve read a lot of builds saying condition damage doesn’t scale and it’s not reliable. I can understand maybe for some classes like ranger or thief or warrior you’re better off going full crit but I have a lvl 80 guardian and I have a decent amount of condition damage.

Do you think it’s a trait worth having for PvP/PvE for any class? Or maybe it’s a trait not worth investing into?

What you’ll start to notice in this game is most lvl 80 armors are based around looks and the stats aren’t much different.

You can’t really see people on the map until you get close to them. Ask in the chat where the Zerg is and someone should answer but if not look around and see what keeps your team needs to take and look for the orange battle signs usually indicating a huge battle.

Trust me WvW is amazing just takes some gettin used to.

I can 1v1 most classes on WvW with my 80 guardian. Probably cause I’m a lvl 80 with exotic though :P

Warriors give me trouble though.

Hope this gets fixed soon because I can’t advance my personal story otherwise

I tried this quest 3 times in a row resulting in the same exact scenario.

Basically you have a squad and you have to lead them to a certain check point. After a boss they stop following you completely and the next part of the story won’t trigger because the NPCs won’t follow you after that point.

What does it cost to create draconic armor? I see people selling that at about 3 gold a piece and I’m tempted to buy it.

Farming hearts and events in lvl 50+ areas

Sell all the mats I receive on trading post. Been doing this for about 30 levels and some mats sell over 1s a piece so it’s nice. I salvage whites, sell blues and auction greens or above.

Do you have any backup as why those three classes are OP?

I play a guardian and I don’t see any OP coming out of me. I don’t do high burst like other classes and I’m tanky and support

Warriors do the most burst but they have to get in melee range

Guardian was fun for me cuz you can pretty much fill any role.

I’m gonna try warrior next because he can use so many weapons.

Dungeons in this game aren’t your typical tank/heal run through dungeon, you have to strategize and approach them way differently. I was way frustrated on my first dungeon and it took me 3 hours. But trust me keep going through them they get a lot better.

I would also like to know the best balance of traits for guardian. I’m lvl 68 right now. I have enough gold to buy the order of the whispers lvl 80 rare armor and some rares/exotics from the trading post

My only concern is the order of whispers armor gives precision, toughness an condition damage. I’m worried about my lack of hp and vitality. I’m also going more of a crit/burn offense guardian build.

I joined order of the whispers only to later find out that priory armor has much better stats for my profession.

I’m guessing no you can’t though.

I only get major FPS problems in WvW I wish I could increase my fps for that.

I’m currently a lvl 66 guardian and my traits will end up as 10/30/30/0/0 once I hit 80.

Basically a more offensive guardian focusing on crit/burn and meditations which also heal me and recharge 20% faster

So my main question is, what traits will be most beneficial to me?

Right now I’m looking at power, precision, toughness vitality, condition damage.

Power- more damage pretty simple
Precision- more crit chance and turns 5% into armor
Toughness- more armor but I’m going for a more offensive build but can’t hurt
Vitality – more health can’t go wrong
Condition damage- not sure but I think my burns will last longer

But since lvl 80 weps and gear only give 3 stats each what 3 would be the best.

This also worries me cuz I did the order of the whispers quest line and I recently discovered each armor set has different traits and you can only get one so I hope I chose the right path with the right stats

Why would I get banned?

Just for an email saying someone attempted to login from China. I changed my password already and none of my characters were lost.

When I click deny the login attempt it says “failed”

Why?
