Um… what is wrong with the guild name Unity?…
you know, i just saw the “milf” part and ran away. i see i’m in error here… cheers.
for some classes, the elite slot is pretty much useless underwater…
I would also like to point out that the “beginner” dungeons are the story modes. You bring up explorable as if that was intended for beginners, which it absolutely never was. They were intended as much more challenging paths with much better rewards.
hang on… there’s but a few levels in difference. are you saying all explorables were meant for 80s?
what a ridiculous guild build name. seriously. be ashamed.
EDIT: thanks, Erithus.1649

“completely useless” makes no sense. that’d be standing around at the entrance of the dungeon doing nothing
i was in a fractal run with my necro, and i didn’t feel useless. that was even before i adjusted my build to a stronger one.
I’ll be honest, I kicked 3 rangers last week for being rangers that couldn’t ping a single melee weapon set.
OT: i don’t get why people call it “ping”. why not “link”?
i got tired of melee, so i’m using piercing arrows now instead (with longbow for a bit of aoe backup – shortbow is my preferred).
If they want to be rangers, fine, but I’m not going to sit there on my elementalist in melee range not dying aside their dead bears while they camp longbow acting like they’re doing something for the party. No way, no how.
i don’t see a lot of longbow+bear, actually. but it’s rare to see someone using e.g. search and rescue. i guess the pve grind style doesn’t translate well to group play – in that regard, i agree with your sentiment here.
i’ve never been kicked on my ranger.
cool story bro
it’s not “cool”, it’s true. i don’t think i’ve ever seen a ranger get kicked either, like, just for being a ranger. i don’t see a lot of people get kicked, except for people who don’t show up, or don’t comply with advertising requirements.
were you talking high-level FOTM or something? some sort of snobbery? i’m only running dungeons.
Anyway it just made me wonder as a general question, which class do you think has it the hardest in dungeons?
it really depends. build, gear, setup of the rest of the group… some runs (i’ve got one of each profession) i really notice when condition cleansing is important. others, it’s dodging. meaning, if you’re not self-sufficient (a measure of skill is involved here, obviously) in avoiding bad stuff happening to you, it’s gonna be harder. can’t rely on the group to supply exactly what you need.
Necros. I’d also say Rangers but most get kicked so fast they don’t even make it inside the dungeon.
i’ve never been kicked on my ranger.
i’ve been in quite a few on my ranger
i guess it’d make sense to ask which game mode this was for…
but for what it’s worth, i’m running “everything rampager” (pve). i like bleeds, and so do my cats.
(pew pew mew mew)
A noob reading this guide ( https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Guide-for-TA-Aether/first ) can even not get hit once in bosses 2 or 3. And they are bosses, should be hard!… but they are not, they are just complex.
a lot hinges on that “can” (my emphasis up there)… it’s not like knowing the mechanics will take away the random elements.
but i get what you say about a dungeon being an adventure (or whatever). and it was. i was lucky to be part of a group that had the stamina to get that far. but it honestly feels like that place was made for stellar gear – and the “right” classes/builds – and not people just wanting an adventure…
Just a little quote from one of our groupmates after 6hours trying to get through this dungeon. I think it summes this whole dungeon thingish up pretty well.
" This is supposed to be the hardest kitten out there but it is just kitten."
i second this emotion.
(even though the reference to fecal matter has been censored, and replaced with feline matter)
…honestly, even though we got all the way to the legendary clockheart, there were just too many places with a tedious amount of enemies. the sense of exploration was kinda lost, because you got worn out by the length of combat.
as we discussed in there, maybe the designers only tested with certain classes/gear…
