Throwing back to GW1….I was talking to one of my guilds yesterday about how much I love Norn’s cultural armor, and how nifty it would be to add a few pieces of it to my human’s wardrobe.
and then I was thinking.
Why was a racial reputation system never implemented. like maybe have a series of daily hearts or events you can do in those areas to gain favour with that race, and then have a set of weapons/armor that are ranked based on your influence with said race?
I thought it would be interesting.

Also I was discussing the other day with some of my guildies how I felt humans would have taken a few cultural indicators over time from other races, or at least humans that aren’t directly within the kingdom of kryta.
Like why wouldn’t some humans take norn influence? at least the ones living closer to the shiverpeaks.
the discussion came up when I Was grabby handing over some of the norn cultural armor wishing we had a rep system to get the armor for other races.
while I actually really enjoy my male human being a “pretty boy” It’s because 1.) he’s a mesmer and 2.) I tried to make him look more ascalonian inspired.
I would love to see more options for humans, definitely a little more tribal stuff especially with them about to add druid into the game (druids were krytan humans) and I feel like it would let people be able to look a little more elonian, and not just ascalonian/canthan(ish)

Yeah not much lore exists on the origin of any profession really…aside from Revenant (rhytlock being the first)
Guardians are what happened to I believe paragons and monks (preservation)
Mesmers belong to the school of Denial magic.
specifically, Denial of free will (domination) Denial of repression (inspiration) and denial of perception (illusions)
however mesmers have now grown into having Denial of reality (chaos magic) [ which mind you, according to the inquest…is also very similar to dragon magic/dragon energy]
and then now I guess with heart of thorns, Denial of Time (chronomancy.)
There have been many powerful and famous mesmers.
Gwen, Anice, even Jenna I believe is a mesmer, so typically human nobility. but the charr in GW1 also had mesmer-y like members of their legions.
I think somewhere it says all mesmers are gifted with a strong sense of grace and cunning. Like someone said Kitah.

maybe he’s referring to Gleam….gleam was never really heard from after GW1….but is presumably still around, and if it has the powers of its mother, is potentially prophetic.
This would give reason to why gleam would have given the master of peace an egg, and would make sense if gleam itself gave the pale tree that vision, or is somehow involved in the dream.
I wouldn’t put it past Anet to have Glint herself be somehow involved in the dream either….
I’m wondering if the elders refers to the remaining members of ancient races? or potentially even the human gods?
I can only speculate on 5.
It’s very possibly that we may in fact finish what destiny’s edge started and meet with the remaining forgotten to finally kill Kralkatorrik.
let’s not forget Gleam (glint’s living baby) was never really seen or heard from so is probably out there, if another baby hatches, there would be two (Lyssa anybody?)
and if we kill kralkatorrik, there’s a theory in the durmand priory library that a dragon can absorb and replace an elder dragon, such as glint could have ousted kralkatorrik ala Grenth vs. Dhum/ Kormir vs. Abbadon.
This could point to us possibly helping gleam or the other baby to ascend to becomming a benevolent elder dragon.
This is also just me speculating based on the fact I would love for a living story to be us crossing the crystal desert and overthrowing palawa joko, liberating Elona, and building off of their remaining armed forces to destroy kralkatorik, maybe jormag…and then move down to Cantha to reestablish contact and fight the deep sea dragon.
but this is all me being hopeful.

Elona is currently under rule by Palawa Joko, and the crystal dessert is where kralkatorrik is allegedly hanging out. The only people with access TO and from elona at this point are the order of whispers…but nobody knows how.
It’s also that Palawa joko dammed the river elon, so you can’t get there by boat, and his army of undead was fighting zhaitan’s at the border, but who knows if that’s still happening.
I suspect Elona is still in a state of chaos but probably due more towards their near constant civil war with Palawa at this point. (maybe we’ll get to liberate them?)
Cantha is an isolationist area now, not only did bubbles cut off most of the trade routes and zhaitan also made it difficult to get there, but I think Cantha cut off everything including trade with the other continents, or at least the continents that are North of them (we know Doern Valesquez is from neither Tyria, Cantha, nor Elona.)
personally….I’d rather see the exploration/re-opening of Cantha and the liberation of Elona as storylines above just fighting more elder dragons as the MAIN bad guy. maybe living world stuff.

so I’ve been wanting wings of the sunless since I’ve started playing.
they’re the only item that I have left to complete my mesmer/necro’s look.
will I ever have them? probably not. I was away during boss week.
I propose that they should either: bring bossweek back to allow people to achieve them.
or
put them in the gem store?
laurel vendor maybe?
or even make them trade-able and sellable on the TP considering I know people who have 60+ of the skins in their bank with nothing to do with them, whereas….I desperately want one.
