Being a teenage boy is rough and confusing and if you grow out of it posts like this are really embarrassing.

Yes. This is a good idea. Good long term reason to run dungeons.
This isn’t close to the legendary grind. The only real issue is the lodestones but those are the issue for ~everything.
That book is the skin. It is a back pack.
You already get the devil horns and the backpack.
I also get the intense feeling that a lot of you haven’t tried farming for candy corn or any of the other mats and have an inflated sense of how rare they are (they aren’t.)
You can’t turn it in again? Sad. Saw somebody got a rare version of the item, and since it’s a backpack that actually looks good I was hoping to try and get it.
Do the scavenger hunt.
edit – also find and carve pumpkins. it’s an exploration thing. I believe you get a title for completing it.
Taking SM was rough. Hope it’s still there in the morning.
Nobody in SOR can get into our borderlands. We fear it has been completely taken over by bots but we can’t be sure.
will we even have a grub-like next week? or today, i guess?
just wish more SoR would kill the grub after the transition from army to cop became clear earlier in the week. need to stock up on siege for next week.
Thanks for the info on the bots. If any SOR player is bored please consider murdering them as well. (Mara, use your Commander Icon to murder bots all day, for instance)
At this point I only do WvW.
I don’t lose 1v1. I often don’t lose 2v1.
There was only one time that I ran into a player that actually almost downed me 1v1 but it was another PP condition build engineer.
SoR is kind of borging it up. We will have an incredibly close week, adapt, then dominate the next. It’s actually really fun to watch player competence in WvW grow as it has been. For instance: earlier on there was always this awful period of time when we cap SM that the loudest people in chat would yell at people to only focus on defending SM and all of our supply would be gone.
Now, no matter the yelling about SM, there are several groups that keep the supply train going. This week I’ve seen a further evolution of this to containing enemy zergs with relatively smaller numbers by keeping the secondary fights away from our supply chain entirely.
Another example is the vista near Anz. Before when we are trebbed from overlook (SoR is always forest) there would be this compulsion to do suicide squads against the wall. Now we calmly take Anz, put trebs on the vista, and hit overlook from there. As more players become aware of how to do this the behavior becomes more common, obviously.
To a higher tier server this is all basic stuff but seeing the mass understand these systematic approaches is really quite beautiful.
edit – two thoughts: seeing your server unlearn these things must be painful as hell. SoR has been forest so often that I am kind of curious if this is giving us an edge because of how intimately familiar we are with our side.

Sell everything you pick up. Even the “scavenge” items.

Most sets of runes give the duration increase as the second bonus. Getting 3 sets of 2 superior runes maxes your duration. Depending on which condition or boon you would like to max will impact your decision.
So if I absolutely want to max bleed duration:
2x Centaur
2x Afflicted
2x Krait
edit – I should mention that there is a lot of fun to be had with all of these runes and possible combinations so if you want to test them go to sPvP and have fun with it there as they are all available freely.
My favourite quest from GW was the Life Aquatic based quest in Factions.
Having a heart to escort some star crossed lovers from point A to point B and being attacked by a band of boy scouts and other events like that would be fun.

Are amazing! Elixer S + Elixer U you can actually see the tears forming on the model of the player who thought he was safe in his zerg.
Last night I had a lot of fun. SoF had a bit of an epiphany (or at least the main active leaders at that time) about dealing with trebs firing on SM from the DH keep. Acting out that strategy with a small group of players was a lot of fun and really showed me what organized play can be like.

If you really want to stop SOR’s night game you gotta cut off the Vodka supply to NA.
A few things on maxing duration: the second bonus on rune sets tends to be the one that increases the duration of whatever. Stacking different sets of runes that have the same tier 2 effect can maximise duration.
So: 2x Rune of Baelfire
2x Rune of Balthazar
2x Rune of Flame Legion
will result in +45% burning duration. Depending what you want to do you can stack this for almost anything.
Secondly: the veggie pizza family of Cooking is greatly useful. The final iteration provides +40% condition duration and +70 condition damage.
SoF had fun tonight.
edit – or rather, is having fun. By now (five minutes after I logged) all of SF land may also be ours.
That was the most exciting possible ending to this matchup in SM. Good job everyone.
As a counterpoint to the above: I also use an elixir and pistol condition damage build. The condition removal and self-buffing is just amazing.
10 Explosions: Grab Incendiary Powder

30 Alchemy: Fast Acting Elixirs, Potent Elixirs, Cleaning Formula
In terms of gear I have more specialized armor for the task and a generic set of jewels.
My armor is Precision/Toughness/Condition Damage. This is Orr exotic Karma gear. My helmet is currently +Precision/Toughness/+Power because Balthazar is bugged. I have 2 water runes to extend boon duration. I have krait and afflicted runes to extend bleed duration.
My jewelry is all crafted Precision/Toughness/Power. Because I don’t want to commit to all condition damage everywhere. Except the necklace, that is the +Precision/Power/+Condition Damage.
My guns are both crafted Precision/Power/+Condition Damage and both have the 60% bleed chance on hit runes.
I also eat high end veggie pizza.
Currently I do ~95 damage per tick per bleed. Again, my jewels are not condition damage optimized. With the veggie pizza the base attack from pistols is up to a 3s bleed duration.
My base critical chance is well over 60% so it jumps to over 80% when I take my elixirs. 1v1 there is nothing that is able to really touch me in WvW. I don’t particularly care if “blah blah but thieves” because I have never had issues 1v1. Some things take longer or shorter. 2v1 I will still engage. I can be chased down and killed if outnumbered by more than 10:1, but whatever, it happens rarely.
A fun thing to do with Elixir U and Elixir S is to get finishers off on players who think they are safe inside their zerg before running back inside your fort. You double the finisher move speed and are invulnerable.
For PvE purposes it functions perfectly as well. I don’t have problems killing anything or dealing with large groups of enemies. It just works. In very large fights I don’t feel like I contribute as much because of bleed stack limits, but in that situation it isn’t really important. Clearing large groups of mobs is trivial because you end up stacking a lot of bleed on everything in the line.
