Is it available yet? I cant seem to locate it in the Black Lion Trading Company. I see it on the wiki but havent been able to purchase it yet. Are they working on a skin for it, or an animation? Is it supposed to be released at a later date?
Maybe the woodpecker animation is buggy or something
I was also looking at Command Line arguments listed on the wiki.
-portal <string>
Specified the IP-address or DNS-name to use to connect to a portal server.
Sounds like something I could use, or maybe someone has tried SSH tunneling directly to a faster connection.
Just wanted to ask the community if there are any solutions to help play during a deployment. The networks are not that great, high ping rates, packet loss, bandwidth throttling, high saturation of skype, magic jack, messenger and facebook users. I can play PVE with 5 second lag and speedtest and pingtest give me very undesirable results. Same laptop that works flawless in Texas was brought with me and Im cabled into the internet, not Wifi.
Would a world transfer to a closer server result in better “less laggy” solution? Such as a Europe server vs. US Server? Any bandwidth or network programs that help other users play while they are deployed?
I know I can just suck it up and wait until I return home but I would love to be able to tame my addiction while Im here playing Rambo. Thanks in advance for any responses.
Temporal Curtain works when you walk through it and gives the swiftness buff. According to the tooltip it stacks duration. If you run through Temporal Curtain first and then through a guardians symbol, or another mesmers Temporal Curtain, the duration does not stack, its ends on the original duration timer.
Check and make sure its not a fan co-located on the graphics card. Just a though that might steer you in the right direction. Well unless its clicking. Most of the time its pretty hard to hear the hard drive unless its right during startup.
Im having the same issues. Ive opened a support ticket and gave them logs, network diagnostics, previous forum solutions to no avail. (Error:7:11:3:189:101)
Permanent Termination and Outcome of Support
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: wildmanviper.4351
I was actively playing the game when disconnected around 7:30PM on December 17, 2012. Upon attempting to re-login I received this message: Your Guild Wars 2 account has been terminated for modifying or tampering with the game, which is a breach of the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct. This action is permanent.
Wanting some clarification I posted a support ticket at 7:43PM asking what the issue was. I did not type in chat or have a crazy account name or do anything other than dynamic events and farming. Around 6:48AM December 18, 2012 I received a message from support. Almost 12 hours later, which was a disappointment to me but none the less, the support site stated 24-48 hours of turn around time.
After giving them the information they asked for proof of the account, I attempted to re-login now with a new message: We have detected that your account may have been accessed by an unauthorized individual. For your security, further access to the account has been suspended until this matter can be resolved. To restore access to this account, please contact Support and one of our representatives will assist you. I was able to log into my Support Account but no longer could post in the forums. I did notice under security that a different IP was authorized but I was not sweating because it was the same Network but different ending Octets in the IP address. This is the time everyone get impatient and starts flooding posts and threads and trying to figure stuff out. I admit, I did that and it doesnt help. I even replied to the email they sent and also updated the support ticket on the website. When rechecking for a response I noticed the cluttered space where it merged the email reply and the support site reply in the discussion. Very confusing for such a simple ticket.
At 10:42AM December 18, 2012 I received a message stating that I need to login and change my default password that was reset. My account is now accessible again. I know its not the fastest response that everyone wants but it was definitely faster than posted on the support site. I was bitter in the beginning with losing my access but patience has given me an account access restored with no items I can see missing. I am grateful of the security they have put into place and would much rather lose a few hours of playtime then get my account back in 30 minutes and have everything missing.
Just wanted to give a personal thank you and a Happy Holidays to all your staff from me. I appreciate all the hard work you and your team are doing.
Just wanted to share a good news story with everyone about the support of Guild Wars 2 staff.
Something like guild wars that you could give a hat and always be able to purchase a copy of it account wide. Maybe something like that or a tab specific for costumes and hats.
I have everything except “Attend the Party” and my Emissary of the Mad King title is at 4. I’m guessing attend the party is the 5th or is something buggy?
Charr Warrior, No Speed Boost
Thats a good idea or they could gauge the amount of reward by the amount of time it took to complete it, just like Factions and the “Master” completion times vs. “Normal”
I see many posts about changing the Mad King jumping puzzle. Though I’m 5+ hours into it and still have not achieved it, I believe it should stay the same.
If a suggestion was to be made, I would make it auto spawn you back at the bottom kinda like the gryphon puzzle spawns you at the top but make it open a gate to start…without a cut scene.
As far the different heights of characters…since its an event puzzle, you could make us all witches, or ghosts, or ghouls, or skeletons of the same height and have us jumping together. Yes groups still jumping but no more height issues. Especially with the skeletons so you could see through your torso to help gauge your jumping.
Im having the same issue but I just added the google authenticator today. I thought it might be that but it seems from other posts that Im not the only one having issues.
Im having a slight issue with two different computers. Im running both at max settings. One has a quad core and the other a i7. Both have sufficient ram and run the game smoothly but Im noticing that as Im running to an area, such as the lions arch bank, I dont notice characters until Im right up on them. This isnt so bad in PVE but when heading out into wvwvw Ill probably run up on a group of enemies before I even know they are there. Updated all graphics drivers. Im just wondering if its still optimization of the servers or some kind of lag that is causing this issue. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Ive read a few forums with similar issues but none with answers to these issues.
Try logging out and back in. I was 3 levels behind when I first logged in. Logged out and back in again and it returned me to where I was when the servers went down.
I had to revert back to normal font when on the TP
If you are in a guild and they can build queues for adding karma bonuses, ask them to do that.
CTRL-T to mark targets are not working. Not a huge issue but wanted it known in case large groups start having issues.
