The title of this thread clearly depicts how ignorant it is to the poster on GW2’s dungeon mechanic. Full Support? Two words, Good Luck!

Omg, how can this thread continued for so long! L O L!
Dedicated Supportive/Healer Build is just for lazy people that are too used to trinity based MMO.
I am with the same wavelength with KensaiZen since my first reply on this post. I can’t stop you from using Healer build but….Yeah, healer build sucks. Its trash, useless. Sorry if you’re offended.
Here’s a tip to some of the pugs which are still confuse:
Get a Hammer, 20% cool down, ask any players that gives water field, keep that (2), there, you got your kitten healing and DAMAGE on the same time. I super love to go on dungeon with Ele and ranger, i super love Ranger’s healing spring, 3 Aoe Healing thats too imbalance IMO. Try this in CoF path 2, its so much fun, rather than being with these boring warrior. COMBO is the best to abuse in this game, not frequent tapping “heal, heal heal” without thinking. Secret? Use your skill at the right timing!
Supportive/Healer Build? Nah, “aint nobody got time for that!” Hahahahahha

hahahaha such ferocity of ignorant, try ‘tank’ Svanir stage lvl 30 at Light the Stack , tell me how long can you last with your way of tanking. There is no AR required there, just go lvl 30 and try it buahahaha

Regarding your build, the Valor tree has so many good selective traits, I am surprised you only have 10 in there. I then assume your gear is all PVT for the loss of points in traits.
Well , its very simple.
Yes, i agree with you, there is a lot of good traits in Valor, however,
I traded 100 Toughness with +20% dmg (5 on Radiant Power, 5 on Elusive Power). My style I prefer DPS build over any other things hehe.
20% when Aegis is on, this is very hard to achieve unless you go full range, with scepter and torch.Keep in mind, with Focus (5) and Aegis, attack will penetrate Aegis first, not Focus (5). To make this work, i suggest Vigorous precision is a must.

Hi Lalangamena.3694, yes, spirit shield is absolutely viable even after the nerfed.
To continue from previous post, here it goes~~
At Ascalon stage, turn left from the tent and run along the perimeter to reach to first boss, when stumble upon first wave of mobs, let our charr comrade to storm the front, then Focus(5) & (4) One hand Sword tele blind, swap to GS leap to blind them, also Virtue of Justice to Blind(Radiance 15 points) them constantly in order to keep ur team alive. First boss is easy, get the burning oil down. In the town, take a keen look on mobs name, projectile mob such as Monk, Elementalist, Archer, you should storm the front and immediately pop out your Wall of Deflection, again, GS leap and VOJ to blind them constantly blinded to keep ur team alive. Pop out Hold The Line too. When you reach till the heart of the city, same thing, cast wall of deflection whenever possible, sanctuary to block the door if luring the melee mobs (warrior).Final boss, nothing much to say, at 50% HP, he will use firesword and almost could one shot you, stay range i would advise.
At Swamp stage, I use, Save Yourself, Retreat, Contemplation of Purity, Staff. and Hammer. Save yourself to support tangle, tipped off teammate,. Staff to support teammate if you are not carrying wisp. At final boss,if Tree Boss, use wall of deflection.be keen on boss attack pattern, then you will know when to pop out the wall, try to help out teammate by protecting them with the wall, they will love you. At Mossman, the annoying boss, I use scepter, focus, sword and torch on him,he is just too annoying and too unpredictable. Utilities i use Retreat, Sanctuary and Hold the Line.
At Svanir stage, what i normaly did was rush into the fire, pop out Sanctuary, n lights on all of the stack. without killing them. Yes you could kill them at lower level, but at 35 onwards, you will die in a second, so just bait n light up fire. At Ice ele stage, i choose wall of deflection to protect teammate from adds projectile, sadly boss ice attack cant be deflected. I prefer Hold the Line and Retreat here. Avoid running into mid if you got teleported randomly, run along perimeter without falling to rendezvous with teammate, so to avoid aggro adds adds.Final boss, nothing special, i choose Save Yourself, Hold the Line, and Retreat for him. Always run to the ice block fall area area and dodge his blue breath.
To conclude this, heres my build:

I only can say, Master of Consecration is a must, others you can play however you like, as long as being a dps build, not some rubbish supportive build coz IMO supportive build is a burden to the party in fractal.

Hi thisisu.7504
Different fractal required different utilities and weapons, it’s very situational IMO. However, skills that you must use is Wall of Deflection and Sanctuary.
For Gnawl Stage, you need to have Shield, Hammer, Scepter for the CC to prevent hostage being killed. At the final boss, you need Wall of Deflection (to deflect boss agony attacks), Shield of Avenger( to protect teammate from Lava worm’s attack, and pull all of them with Greatsword (5) finish them off quickly), and my personal favorite, Sanctuary to revive down ally with Focus (5) on.
For the Asura stage, for start, you need Wall of Deflection ( to deflect electric ball Knockdown & attacks from Harpies), Hold Your Ground (to immune to KD), Shield of Avenger to absorb all attack from Harpies). At mid boss, poison kitty robot, you need Shield of Avenger to absorb the poison aoe, in case ur the only Guardian in ur team, u need Sanctuary pop out at where the boss stand to pro long the shield absorber effect after spirit shield is worn out. At final boss, when all kitty robots functioning, first you should do is, pop out Shield of Avenger, at the middle with the boss , and Greatsword(5), pull all of them together, they should be down in a moment.
At Underwater stage, i prefer to pop out spirit weapons to assist my dps, pretty straight forward. nothing important to highlight, depend on your play style
At Giant stage, nothing much here too, to avoid being blowed out by the duct at the ramp, use Hold Your Ground, Retreat helps too.
At Dredge, Shield of Avenger is your best friend, same goes to Wall of Deflection. At final boss, just use a Retreat , Wall of Deflection (if Dredge boss spilling bombs), and range weapon if ur not confidence in melee with them.
I’ll post again, off to eat =p

Hahaha there is so many pugs giving rubbish comments in here.
Hi JJBigs.8456, my advise to you, play however you like, ignore newbies that keeps asking for a heal, let them be. Many people still do not understand that the concept of tanker and healer is a VOID in GW2.
HAhahaha try fractal lvl 40, if these people still ask for heals, there can gtfo L O L

Hi KensaiZen.3740,
I can’t truly say I’m totally agree nor disagree with you. However, I solely believe, at the bottom line, it depends on players in a collective mutual understanding whether to finish off a dungeon within an hr, or 2 hrs.
A supportive type Guardian in a group, took longer time to finish a dungeon if were to compare to a DPS type Guardian in a group, this is undeniable fact. It’s up to the Supportive/Healer Guardian’s friends or teammate if they don’t mind the slow poke progress to finish a dungeon.
Some people just like supportive game play, can’t stop them =)

Torch gives the most dmg as offhands.
Torch skill 5 and Scepter skill 2 fully utilised Empowering Might,
Clear condition of teammate, constant chance of crits gives Vigor Precision on the last patch, tho doesnt need it in this new patch.
Whats more you want? =p
