If you wanna give ‘feedback’ then just do it,
Who cares if a bunch of Anet fanboys jump in your thread and highjack/derail it ?, honestly, who cares, it’s your opinion, your entitled to your opinion, and they are entitled to theirs as well.
Just say what you think,
1-80 first time round it’s a fantastic game, after that it’s boring as hell.
It reminds me of SWTOR, you know that single player story game that pretended to be an MMO, but was infact just another instalment of Knights of the Old Republic dressed up as an MMO, ie a few MMO bits bolted on, (badly bolted on).
Yep, to me GW2 feels exactly the same, 1-80 it tells a nice story, and there is a ton of other people around, but there is no real reason for them to even be there tbh.
After that, its just a silly grind fest, all MMO’s are just a silly grind fest, so no shocker there really, only to be expected.
What is shocking on the other hand is just how buggy and badly put together the Game is -
Useless Skills and Traits
Vague Skill and Trait descriptions
Awkward and Clunky Combat
Bugged Events and Skill Point Quests
Eratic Camera
Boring and Ugly Armor
And last but not least, a complete ‘Zerg’ mentality brought on by the removal of the Trinity system, a trinity system that in itself was not a bad thing, it just failed because Game Devs ‘failed’ to make Tanking and Healing ‘FUN’, lolOooh ZERG, that reminds me, WvWvW, the one thing that I thought would be GW2’s best feature turned out to be nothing more than a Zerg fest,
There is no strategy, no tactics, no nothing, there is not even any PvP lol, it’s just endless Zerging, big groups running around, smashing gates and then killing a mini boss, lol
There you go, thats my feedback, fire away fanboys, and just see if I care.
lol
So true. I’m in the middle of leveling right now and its pretty fun. Most of the game is a total zerg fest tho. I can only imagine the zerging that goes on at lvl 80.
I think I’ll just end up treating the game like a single player game. Play till 80. Then if I get bored just move on to another game. Come back every once in a while and see if anything interesting was added. Still pretty fun game for what it is tho.
I hear that Elthurien. I’m sort of the same. Just playing a bunch of different ways. I will buy something now and then but like I said, I always seem to find the exact thing or something similar right after I buy it which kind of pisses me off.
I see a lot of posts where people say they are farming mats for crafting gear or farming gold for buying gear. Personally I much prefer the excitement of finding a sweet looking piece of gear from chests or drops.
I’m only level 45 right now but it seems that whenever I have bought any gear from the TP or whatever, that the next time I go out I will find a piece of gear that is better or looks cooler than what I bought.
I get much more enjoyment from being awarded cool looking gear over saving up specifically for some piece and then buying it.
Also, I much prefer to be surprised at what new gear looks like. Therefor I haven’t scoured the net for all the different armour pics or anything. I really enjoy the surprise of finding something cool.
What about you guys? Which do you prefer and why?

Well, if i would play a puzzle just for the pleasure of solving it, I would like games like uncharted, but no, I’m playing an rpg with levels and items. There are lots of adventure games with puzzles, hell, there are even lots of puzzle games. But this game has levels and items. If I am playing this game, it’s because I love to get new things, spells, items, skills… If I woulnt like to improve my char, I would play a game that focuses on solving puzzles, or whatever.
This game has some puzzles, but it has 80 levels, lots of skills, hundreds (thousends?) of items…. don’t tell me: this game is not about the loot.Totally agree with you. Its mind numbing how so many people keep going off about “play for the fun of the game” “the game is the reward” “fun is fun”
This game is loot based. The whole point of these games is to get sweet lootz and look cool. I love getting precious lootz. Its half the reason I even play RPG’s. The other half is the exploring and combat with buddies. In the end tho I want my exploring and combat to pay off with cool looking loot. Is that so much to ask for?
Wait… I thought the complaints were that it WASN’T loot based. If you’re not getting all the loot you seem to want, how can it be loot based? Ohhh.. it’s NOT loot based after all, is it? You just WISH it were loot based.
There is tons and tons of loot to get in this game. You can get better loot as you level up. There is tons of different ways to get this loot. This equals a loot based game.
Don’t tell me you’re still running around in the same armour you got when you created your character? And why is that? Its because you wanted better armour as you leveled up, right?
You wanted better loot in this loot based game.
Kal is saying that he is not getting loot for something that is hard to do but he does get loot for easy things. The challenge/reward is not equal in this respect.

I figure its a must for pet survivability.
Hey so I’m a level 44 Ranger. I just bought my masters trait book or whatever you call it. I got the respec and now have 34 traits to play with.
Just wondering what people think a good trait allocation is. I play mostly PvE. What do you guys have most of your traits points in?
How the hell can you play a game for 220 hours and hate it the entire time. Why did you keep playing?
220 hours in at this point is like working two full time jobs. So you just worked two full time jobs that you hate in the last two weeks.
Maybe that’s a black lion chest and you need the key to open it because if i remember correctly the description on the key says its used to open chests that drop randomly from mobs or are hidden throughout the world
I think Black Lion Chests are inventory items. You can pick them up from mobs or other places in the world. Then use the key from your inventory to open them. I’m pretty sure this is not one.
I found this one the other day. I have also found numerous other ones throughout the world. Kind of a let down that you cant open them to be honest. I’m wondering if someone knows if there is a way to open them.
