Guild War isn’t meant to have an end game. You play through to 80 do the fun jump puzzles, explore the game if that’s your fancy and you wait for the next expansion. It’s not a sand box game, it’s a movie set style game. It’s meant to be played and then to end.
My guildies don’t play as much with me anymore because they say the same thing. Not much for them to do. They put in their time and are ready to move on. I can respect that. Guild Wars 2 is a good game and I got about 120hours of entertainment. That’s pretty good and I’m happy with it.
I’m looking forward to getting the expansion.
Reminds me of those carnival points at fairs.
true, it is an unoptimized mess.
There have been so many times I have come so close to killing a thief and he runs away and stealths. Is there a counter for this? I typically use scepter dagger combo.
no no, no auto que. Maybe I don’t want to run a dungeon…maybe I want tom play it. Maybe I want to play with someone tanky (I’m a squishy elementalist)… Don’t just randomly line people up. I would not like that idea.
After 1000+ hours of gaming, any game becomes a grind. I do agree though, crafting is too time consuming and not rewarding enough. It should offer unique items to your character and guildmates.
I’d love to go to a single GPU but the price difference is about $100- $150 MORE to see similiar gains. Thanks for answering.
I tried PvP just out of curiosity. I thought WvW wasn’t bad and niether was PvP. However, whenever I fought a thief I never won. I don’t know if it’s me but the stealth makes it impossible for me to fight them. I don’t play PvP because of that.
I’ve downloaded the latest drivers (amd catalyst).
I’m just getting into WvW myself. I enjoy it, but everytime we strike a blackgate strong point, 10 minutes later they have like 50 players showing up. I’ve definiately improved my hit and run raiding skills because of this, but I’d like to play against a server where our chances are a little more even. Kudo’s to blackgate.
I have a Zambezi 4100 with a Radeon 7750. I’m thinking of adding crossfire (it will go into a 4x). I’ve read it chops off about 10% but overall their is still an improvement. Can anyonme testify to this?
Hey there. I like my guild and the people in it and I don’t want to leave it. However, sometimes I get on and nobody is there. I enjoy doing WvW, Dungeons, or even leveling an alt. My main is an 80 elementalist spec’d for condition damage.
I find voice chat makes the game so much easier to coordinate a hard dungeon or a WvW attack and mumble is my preferred chat of choice.
I’m just looking for likeminded individuals, who would let me join them on mumble, dungeoning, and WvW on the Isle of Janthir server.
Thanks.
If I leave my computer on long enough my FPS drops about 20 . I have to reboot to fix it. I have an SSD, AM3 bulldozer 4100, radeon 7750. I have no idea why it’s doing this.
Exactly. It doesn’t have to interfere with the game at all. It doesn’t have to take much time to code since it’s a small instanced area. Make sure the guild islands cost gold, gems, or karma to upkeep to keep people in the game. Keep housing on the guild Island. Let the guild master be able to tax guild members to keep paying on the Island.
The bigger the Islands the bigger the taxes. Have unique armor and weapon skins associated with each type of islands with cool looking effect. This encourages cooperation and sense of community.
People love MMORPG’s but I know many people that love the sim stuff associated with this. I had a few friends spend hours and hours renting houses out in fable 3…..a roleplaying game. This is an addition to the guild war experience that is optional for people that want to do it and a way for gw2 to generate cash to keep it running.
Legendary’s will only keep people busy for so long. It’s going to need something else for the obsessive completionists to work on.
I remember playing guild wars there was a little place where there could be vendors. I am in a guild of about 21 people and about 5 hardcore people. We don’t mind buying gems either. Believe it or not some of the best part of a game is the simulation. My girlfriend spent 1 hour just customizing her character.
One thing I think ANEt should think of, is having dedicated instanced Islands for guilds. In these Islands individuals could buy houses and decorate them. Decorate the Island. Have tiers of Islands from small to huge. People love that simulation stuff. Not having it, itself, but just the pursuit of it. Ultima Online player housing was big and people LOVED IT. People played hours of that game to earn enough to buy a digital home and to customize it. I bet ANet could make a lot of money selling houses in the gem store, or Island additions in the gem store. My big reccomendation if you implement the Islands is to have them upgradable. Have them look kind of crappy at first and then you can add things like beaches, greener grass, etc. You can charge players karma, gold, honor badges, dungeon tokens, gems, etc for each unique addition. Trust me when I say, this is a license to print money.
Farming is a horrible waste of time and it detracts from community. I’d much prefer if guild wars 2 had a better group pairing system to go dungeoning. Also, better guild recruiting and control. It’d be nice if my guild could advertise what we want and then have people request to join on a trial basis. Like we want nice people, that are relatively active that use mumble (headphones and microphone). I don’t want to post on the forums since the target audience is located only in the isle of janithir.
I love playing with my guildies and playing with them and talking to them on mumble. Unfortunately, that opportunity isn’t always there. Sometimes I want to play dungeons and nobody I know is online. It would be nice if I could click “Join Dungeon” and be able to instantly pop into a dungeon with a full group of people. DO you know how often I see people spamming looking to join a group for a dungeon?
They want to make money. They don’t charge us monthly fees….so let them make it in a way that doesn’t seriously damage the gaming experience.
Yeah, after reading these forums I decided to abandon my 4th level engineer. I don’t want to be in a class that not only isn’t versatile but is nerfed.
